“Did he sleep already?” Tanong ko kay Damien nang dumating ako sa rest house nila sa Laguna. I am referring to Damon whom I promised to cook his favorite ulam tonight. Hindi ko naman inaasahan na magkakaroon ng aberya sa site kaya hindi ako nakauwi agad dito sa rest house. And as a boss, I need to be there until the problem is solved. Yun nga lang, I broke my promise to Damon. I reminded myself na bumawi sa bata.
“Yeah, I just went down from his room.” Ito ang matiyagang naghintay sa akin sa labas. Nagpupumilit ito kaninang sunduin ako but I refuse because Damon is with him. I want the kid to enjoy his stay. “Sino yung naghatid sa’yo?” He asked afterwards.
“Si Engr. Hanz Mortel, one of our site engineers. Along the way naman kasi siya kaya isinabay na ako.” Sagot ko rito habang kumukuha
