After hearing the news from Philip that Nicholai dropped the case, the cops went inside where Philip and I were talking and told me that I was already released.
Kaya pala tinanggal nila ang posas ko kanina. Alam na nila umpisa pa makakalaya na ako. They didn’t tell me not until Nicholai left.
I was thankful that he dropped the case, but it didn’t mean that I would forgive him in a jiffy. I didn’t know when it would be. Only time would tell.
Philip opened the door of the police station for me and the afternoon breeze greeted me. I smiled the moment I stepped out of the building.
