BACK TO THE MALIB CITY

"Beggar, go away! Stay away from my business. You have no idea how much I paid for this stall. You don't even have coins for a payment, so stay away! you stink! " A woman yelled in front of Jocefie Abad "Do you want me to teach this ugly old woman a lesson? She doesn't know I have a lot of gold coins!" Felisa whispers in her ear. "You are a wild spirit, so you have no gold coins," Jocefie said. The old woman who hears her talking to herself thinks that the beggar is crazy. She just realized it. "Uh, I know, but I can help... to get some food for you. I know you are hungry." Felisa added to say. She is a bit worried about Jocefie. "Wild spirits can't do anything, so keep quiet." Josefie replied. "You know I can do that," Felisa reminded her. "It's bad to be mean to others, that's what my mother said, especially when you steal something that doesn't belong to you." "Uh, sorry, it's up to you. I won't force you." Felisa knew Jocefie was correct, the family she lived in was wealthy and powerful, and it was simple for her to do something because of her talents as one of the country's second-grade cultivators. A common human, like Jocefie, has no ability to cultivate power, she is only selling agricultural items on the street to make a living in the town of the mortal world. It was simply poor luck that a drunken man tripped her and drove her to the inn. An unassuming street corner was occupied by a diminutive, slender girl who was yawning uncontrollably. She pulled out an apple from under her garments and started to take nibbles out of it in a huge show of total boredom as her half-closed eyes were peering at the patrolling teams roaming on the busy street. Jocefie Abad was dressed in old, ripped, and filthy beggar's clothing. Her face was also heavily covered in muck and grime. She appeared to be a malnourished, scrawny little beggar in every way. Coincidentally, this month is the festival month for all cultivators, various groups of immortal diciples will perform in front of the King. This is done every five years. This is the test to keep their level and strength consistent based on their ability. Therefore, the entire city will be closed and restricted for those who want to go out of town. "What horrible luck! Even if I had the patience to wait, the poison in her body wouldn't allow it, time is running so, how can I get out of here as long as possible?" Jocefie said. As if talking to herself again. According to the reports of the few immortals who passed by, there were still seven days before the gate's reopening day. "I'm sorry, We cannot act lightly because they might detect that you are a mortal. I did only what was necessary to save you." A soft voice of Felisa Adonis whispered to her. "About the man in my home town. Why did he attack me? I did not do anything to him." Jocefie asked. "He's just a madman looking for someone to kill, he was possessed by some evil spirit, thought it was fun for him. His life should be ended" Felisa murmured gently to Jocefie, as if her voice whispered into the air. Jocefie Abad chewed on the fruit while sighing quietly. However, she felt a little anxious as she recalled the energy that had encircled that man's body when he made his moves. Being possessed, she had imagined that she would merely have to put up with living under the control. Who would have known that the inhabitants of her world can adapt the immortality doings? The cultivation skills of immortals reached her real world? Everything else, though, seemed less bizarre when she remembered that she is just a human, born into such a goddamned environment. While the powerful individual, and cultivators has an everlasting strength! Then, in the eyes of these growers of immortality, her entire arsenal of abilities would be worthless! Later, she threw the partially consumed apple out and sat down, grumbling to herself. Up until a loud, distinct sound burst out directly in front of her. "Ching! Ting! Ting!" A silver coin appeared out of nowhere in the cracked bowl in front of her, and began to spin in a circle before landing in the center. Jocefie picked up the broken dish to look at the silver coin inside it in a blank manner. Except for the fact that it was covered in silver, it felt exactly like any other metal. When she raised her head to look at the person who had tossed the silver coin into her bowl, she noticed a person's wide back who was wearing a black robe. He was moving slowly, with light but solid steps, and he exuded a terrifying atmosphere that made others want to avoid him. Without considering it, she turned her head and leaped to take hold of that man's leg while screaming piteously in a loud voice: "Woo! Uncle! I've finally found you, oh my Uncle!" The man swiftly ducked, leaving her grasping at the air. As a result of the forward momentum, she fell forward, scratching both of her hands and groaning in pain. The black-robed man frowned, his sharp and penetrating stare briefly traveling over the little beggar on the ground before resuming his stride ahead. With a single glance, he was able to identify that the beggar on the ground was simply a commoner who did not cultivate. Of course, Jocefie Abad was simply a regular individual at the time. Felisa Adonis' body's prior cultivation had been completely undone by the poison Rowena Sagi had pushed into her mouth, and she was now just an average person with no cultivation powers. And it was precisely because of this that when those cultivators of immortality saw her, an ordinary person with no cultivation would drop their guard in the presence of someone like her. "Uncle! Please do not desert me! I suffered so much hardship before I managed to find you! So please...Uncle." She stood up and pounced again, tumbling a few more times until the black-robed man in front of her finally stopped. "Uncle!" she calls again. The opportunity could not be passed up! Jocefie Abad hugged herself around the man's leg, clutching on tight as she raised her tear-brimmed eyes, injected with some trepidation, to stare at the man. And when she observed the man's expression, her mouth twitched uncontrollably. This leg she was hanging on like a koala was possibly a mistake. Looking at her broad back, the man in front of her eyes stood out as a magnificent example of what it means to be a man. But when she saw his face, she just wanted to slap herself on the forehead and moan, "Come on!" This is clearly the visage of an elderly relative in his thirties! The sharp-featured, strong, and hard face was half hidden by his beard, and his face shape and countenance were obscured. Despite the set of eyes being eternally deep and intriguing, he was an uncle in his thirties, and he couldn't quite fit the profile of being anything like her youthful, nubile body's Uncle. But he had no choice in the matter, and she was not going to let go of the leg she was clutching, and she continued to scried: "Boo hoo! I finally found you! Uncle..." Leonardo Boras slanted brows creased together as he stared at the malnourished little beggar latched onto his leg. As he was unused to being touched, his entire body was currently completely frozen. He tried to shake the beggar off his leg and he gave a low holler: "You've mistaken me for someone else! Let go of me!" However, the little beggar was clinging on too tightly and he could not shake him off. "Woah!...... If I'm not mistaken, My Aunt said you had a fantastic beard. I remember seeing you when I was very young, and I will never mistake you for anyone else. Oh no..... Don't push me away, Uncle; there is no one at home anymore, and my stepmother wants to sell me! Oh, no... Uncle... Please take me with you, I promise I will do anything. Please..." "I am not your Uncle! You've really got the wrong person!" The frigid atmosphere that was coming from Leonardo Bora's being became more intense and terrifyingly icy. However, the small beggar who was hanging to his leg was not letting go of his hold in the slightest. He gave his leg a few more shakes, but the guy remained in place. When he reached out to take the small beggar off, the tiny man shouted and grabbed onto him even harder. His head even brushed up against a delicate spot between his legs. His body instantly tightened, and his face instantly turned dark. "Let go of me!" "No way! Unless you agree to take me with you." Although the man was a little cold in his demeanor, fortunately, he was harsh only with his mouth and not in his actions, appearing as though he wouldn't use his powers on a commoner who did not practice cultivation. Jocefie was stuck shamelessly onto the man's leg, completely unaware that her head was pushing against the person's sensitive part. Leonardo Boras took a long breath, fighting the temptation to kill, and then finally he said: "Let go! I'll let you come with me!" "Thank you so much Uncle, I knew you wouldn't desert me!" She wiped her dry eyes, which had not been wet in the slightest, and she quickly got to her feet. Seeing that the man had already turned and walked away, she immediately hurried to catch up. As they drew closer to one another, Jocefie's eyes sparked, and a smile formed on her face. It makes sense why he allowed her to follow him so effortlessly. So leaving her behind in this manner was what he had meant to do? Unfortunately, he had made a serious error of judgment. She could certainly keep up with his pace; there was no way around it! She needed to stay with him at the very least until she was able to leave Surigao City. Sticking by him would guarantee that the guards would not dare to interrupt them because it was evident that this man was not from a simple background. "Uncle! Wait up, I can't keep up! Uncle..." She trailed him slowly at first, but when she noticed that he was making his way toward the city gates, she sped up to catch up. As Leonardo moved his head slightly, his steps slowed down. He observed the small beggar's grubby hand plucking at a robe corner. He moved forward with his wide strides after flicking his arm down to brush the small beggar off. "Uncle! Please... don't be mad with me; at most, I'll stop tugging at your clothes... Uncle!" The guards at the city gates abruptly tensed as they observed the uncle in front of her and lowered their heads to bow in submission, which she noticed as she sprinted along while wailing piteously. When they heard her refer to the man as her "Uncle," the soldiers who had been heading directly towards her abruptly stopped in their tracks. Their features were tremendously perplexing as they covertly appraised the two people. "Uncle, where are we going?" she asked after coming out through the city gates, she started sizing up the people around her. At that moment, Leonardo Boras stopped his steps and glanced at the little beggar, saying in a deep voice, "You're already out here; don't follow me anymore." Jocefie Abad was startled for a moment, and she quickly continued on to say with a sweet smile: "Oh, Uncle! What are you saying?" She truly wanted to leave through the city gates, and her uncle knew it! Now that she had given it some thought, she realized it was to be expected because the man did not appear to be of common stock and her small-minded antics ought to have been rather clear to him. But what shocked her was that despite being aware of her deceit, he continued to assist her. Jocefie hastened to catch up as she saw him go off quickly and with wide steps. "Uncle...." Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted. "I am not your Uncle, stop addressing me that way." The deep voice had a deep baritone that was rough and cold, personifying masculinity in every way. "Have I truly got you mixed up with someone else? My Aunt informed me that my Uncle has a very recognizable bushy beard." He was being closely examined from head to toe as she jogged next to him. Then Jocefie suddenly broke into a huge grin and said, "Heh heh, maybe-just, Maybe-I actually picked the incorrect person. I mean, my Uncle ought to be a little younger than you." Leonardo Boras continued on his way, completely ignoring the little beggar at his side. From the way he looked at it, a little beggar with some smarts but did not practice any cultivation in the slightest did not deserve his attention and hence, he quickened his steps forward, a few times faster than he had been out in the city. In regards to his suddenly increased speed, Jocefie Abad was suddenly intrigued as she thought to herself: Watching his steps, they seemed to tread lightly upon the ground, but at the same time, they seemed to just flit across without touching. He was moving extremely quickly, but it was quite different from her own. "Uncle! Uncle! Wait for me!" It wasn't that she really wanted to stick with him, but there was only one road after coming out through the city gates. Moreover, she really couldn't afford to follow that man around, as she needed to go find some herbs, the cure for the poison which has slowly developed within the body of Felisa. Remembering the fact that Rowena Sagi wasn't just malicious. Despite the fact that the original owner of the body is Jocefie Abad, she merged with the spirit of Felisa Adonis, who had treated Rowena Sagi exceptionally well. Rowena Sagi had not only robbed Felisa Adonis identity; Rowena Sagi had even sold her to a brothel for her to be tormented and humiliated to her death. This woman was really more venomous than a scorpion. But, according to Felisa's memories, this Rowena Sagi has always looked like Felisa Adonis, having come from the twenty-first century as well. And she must be well versed in medicine as well, or she wouldn't have been able to create a mask that looked exactly like her. The more Jocefie thought about it, the more excited she became. Something that she had initially felt to be endlessly dull seemed to be getting more and more interesting!
