CHAPTER THIRTEEN
After discussing my plan with Zane, we prepared to carry it out. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, and there were no guarantees, but we had to try. It was the only way I could think of to infiltrate the Castle and accomplish our mission of capturing the Queen of the witches.
I was sure it wouldn’t be easy, especially since I had a hunch that she was accompanied by a powerful witch who possessed knowledge of dark magic from the Devil’s Lair itself. That’s another reason I wanted to go alone—to test the powers I now had and the knowledge I acquired from the Devil’s Lair.
“I can transport you into another tree without them noticing you. It’s up to you how you’ll lure them toward our other team,” I told him, raising my hand to enchant a spell specifically for Zane.
