“Shall we enter?” Tanong ko rito. She nodded her head in response.
Pagkapasok namin sa loob ay sabay kaming umupong dalawa. Kasunod naming dumating ang waiter na siyang kumuha ng order namin.
Kinuha ko complimentary water na isinerve ng waiter at tahimik na sinimsim iyon. I tried thinking of ways to reject her, but I didn’t want to be rash. I have already learned my lesson with Anna.
I sighed inwardly. I just couldn’t get used to this kind of situation.
"I heard you are a nurse?" I heard her ask.

"St. Francis Medical Center."
