"Can we all talk about the not leaving his unit situation? There's no f*cking way that we all moved on and not talked about that in dept. Tita? Aren't you surprised by that at all?" Shawn whined as he got of his car in the condo parking lot. Rui was standing beside Patricia giving him a weird "Shut the f*ck up look" as they wait for Leyla to finish parking her car.

"Shawn nak, nasabi naman na lahat ni Leyla ang gusto niyang sabihin kanina. Gusto lang niyang may kasama si Rui do'n sa unit niya, at wala na akong say sa mga ganoon, binata na itong best friend mo eh!" kinikilig na sabi naman nitong Ginang.

"Ew! Tita! Kadiri! Tignan mo nga 'yan! Kung makangiti akala mo malinis ang budhi. If I know, nilalandi to the max n'yan si Leyla. Hoy! 'Wag mo masyadong harutin, baka matakot sayo-"

"Shawn! Tumahimik ka nga, kung anu- ano na namang kadumihan ang nasa utak mo. We were officially dating for a day, we're not even a week in yet," namumula na naman ang pisngi ng lalaking pilit na ikinukubli ito para hindi ma-bully ng kaibigan.

"So what you're saying, you are waiting for a week to- oh gosh, you're nasty! Stop smirking like that! Naiinis ako na alam ko lahat ng expression mo, I could clearly tell what you are thinking of at the moment. And Tita let me tell you, it's pure mud in there!"

The older woman started giggling to herself, " 'Wag mo na siyang lokohin Shawn, alam mo naman na this is a first for him. Let him test it out and enjoy the moment. Also, that girl, I really like her Rui. If things go well, I would gladly call her as a daughter in law."

"Nako tita 'wag mo na kunsintihin sa kalandian 'yan at baka pumutok ang mukha sa sobrang hiya, pulang pula oh!"

Patricia reached out and tapped Rui's cheek, "Nak, I want to ask you something really serious, I want to know what you seriously feel. Okay?"

"Hm? What Mom?"

"Do you really have feelings for her or do you just feel that this is a chance since she's not the same as other girls? Because if you are just staying with her to keep her close because you benefit from it, it's not fair for her," she watched her son give her the most sincere smile in the world. That kind that he always have on when he look at her straight in the eye.

"Ma, 'wag kang mag- alala. My feelings for her are genuine. We might have met by chance or maybe by some miraculous thing that happened to me, and yes I don't plan to let her go but no, I am not just in it because she's special. You should now mom, she's awesome. And I never felt this happy and secured before. I just hope she will forever be happy with me."

Patricia and Shawn could tell, that might have been the most sincere and genuine thing that Rui has ever said to them. They could see the admiration seeping out of his eyes as he watched Leyla got out of her car.

"My baby is finally enjoying the life that was meant for him," Patricia whispered. "Don't worry nak, she's a good one. I can tell that she actually really loves you."

"Of course she does," singit ni Shawn "If not though, I might get a chance to sneak a super ugly crying picture from Rui."

Akmang hahampasin na ni Rui ang kaibigan pero mabilis siyang napatigil nag lumapit sa kan'ya si Leyla.

"Sorry, are you waiting for me?" she shyly asked.

"Don't worry darling, it's fine. Come let's get up."

They all walked together. Rui have let Shawn and his mother to pass them before sneakily holding on to Leyla's warm hand. She looked up at him with a very confused expression.

"What's up?" she asked. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Rui silently shook his head, "Nothing, I'm just thinking about some things."

Naramdaman niya ang marahan na paghaploas ng daliri nito sa kan'yang kamay, " 'Wag kang masyadong mag- isip," bulong ng dalaga. "We are here together, happy and your mom is home. Don't think of anything else, just be happy."

"Right," sagot ng lalaki. "Let's go, they've been waiting."

The two sweetly walked hand in hand and followed to the elevator, in there they saw Shawn and Patricia casually talking about random stuffs but in reality, they were focused on watching them be as cute and lovely as paid actors that should show how great a relationship is. What's crazy about it though is that they just recently started dating but the presence they emit screams the energy of an old couple has. They are too relaxed, and too dependent to each other.

"Oh, dito ka lang?" tanong ni Patricia kay Leyla nang bumukas ang elevator sa floor niya.

"Ah yes po tita-"

"Ma, search up the four digits of pi, that's my pass code," Rui interrupted and instantly pulled Leyla out of the elevator.

"The what-" hindi na nila narinig ang kasunog ng sasabihin ni Patricia dahil sa biglaang pagsara ng mga pinto.

"Hoy, bakit ka nagpaiwan?"

"Shush, don't ask too many questions, let's go."

It was Rui who confidently pulled Leyla behind him straight into her unit. He had a very serious look on his face as he watched her press a couple of numbers on her lock. Without saying a word he walked inside the unit with her. He's completely silent, still in the middle of thinking about something serious, at least that's what Leyla could tell based on the frown on his face.

"Rui?" she called him. But he did not respond, still sitting on the couch. "I'm going to change, okay? If you want something, just check the fridge. I have grape juice in there," she said.

Hindi sumagot ang lalaki kaya naman tumuloy nalang siya sa kuwarto para kumuha ng mga damit na gagamitin niya pamalit. She pulled out a large black shirt and comfortable pants. But she did not expect that as soon as she pushed the cabinet doors closed, Rui was standing right behind her.

"Oh, hey?" she was surprised. Rui rested his right hand on her left shoulder, "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Leyla, you told me before right? You understand what I really mean and what I want?" bulong niya.

She watched him force his eyes shut waiting for her to answer, "Yes, I understand you. I know what you mean, why are you acting so worried and sad all of a sudden?" she held his chin with both of her hands. He comfortably rested his face on her warm palm.

"This is my very first time diving into a relationship, you know that right?" he asked with his eyes closed, his only way to continue talking without getting shy, "You are the only woman that made me feel this way, I know you are the only one that can technically come closer to me but I... I-"

"I am the first ever woman that did not give you any anxiety attack," Leyla cut him off, "Now if you think about it, infatuation is not out of the table," she calmly stated.

"But it's not," he whispered.

"Rui listen to me, I can see how you smile towards me. It's something so precious to me, you have no idea. I can see your sincerity through it. I don't have any reason doubt you or this relationship."

Rui pushed down her hands and pulled him closer in for a warm embrace, "You really could tell huh?" he whispered. "I want you to remember what you see, and whatever happens, the only reason is you. I hope you would never despise me even if you uncover something so dreadful."

"Rui please, I only have one reason why I am here hugging you like this," natatawa niyang bulong. "You always call me a genius, do you think I will stay here, waste time, if I have a plan of leaving? You're stuck with me."

"I am scared, very scared. What it one day you wake up and instantly forget about me. Like a computer that just got wiped off it's-"

Before he could complete his sentence, Rui was cut off by a passionate kiss. He felt her small warm hands hold his face. He could feel her breathing, the loud deafening beating of their hearts. She pulled him closer, and he lifted her to the bed where she sat on top of him. It wasn't about the butterflies or sparks flying, but he knew, the moment he pulled away and watched his own reflection in her magical eyes, the happiness and satisfaction curved up on her messy lips, and the intense warmth and joy he feels, this is as real as it gets. This is what he prayed for.

"Babe," he whispered in a very low and deep voice as she slowly rested her head on his broad shoulder giving him a tight hug.

"Hmm?" she asked.

"Do I need to say it?" he asked.

She giggled and pushed him a bit to look back at his eyes, he smirked, watching her realize what he was thinking about. After a few seconds she shook her head.

"No, you don't have to say it. I know."

"You do?"

She nodded.

"So?"

"I love you too," she whispered. Pulling him in a very tight hug, without any intention of letting go, "Please, don't forget that," she asked him with a hint of fear on her voice.

"Why would I even forget that? Of course I wont."

"Nothing is impossible," malungkot niyang sabi. "If you ever forget about me, and if you ever forget that I love you, could you at least promise me to listen to me? Make me try one more time?"

"Dummy, I would never. Paano kung sa' yo nangyari 'yon ha? Kakasabi mo ng gan'yan, baka magkatotoo."

"I'm worried now," bulong na naman niya. Her warm breath brushed upon her neck as she's still sitting on his lap, facing him.

"Memories and feelings can be forgotten, that is why we need to cherish everything at the moment," sabi niya sa lalaki. "But if I ever forget, as if somehow I deleted everything and left your side, can you promise me that you'll try and find me?" parang bata siyang nagtatanong. She felt his huge hand slowly rubbing her back.

"Well, when you're asking that cutely, how could I not?" he teased. Kaya naman mahina siyang pinalo ni Leyla.

"If I'm as genius as you said I am, you just have to remind me," said Leyla. "Can you please follow me until I remember? I don't want to live such a boring life. If you're not there to act like a little baby, how will I function normally?"

"Hey, little baby? Who's acting as a little baby right now?" reklamo ng lalaki.

"Come on, just promise me."

"So you need to hear the promise?"

"Well if you don't verbally say it, how can I argue with you when you did not keep up with it?"

"I promise. But please don't let it happen, that will f*cking break me you dummy."

Leyla giggled, "Thank you Rui," she left a little kiss on his neck, "Thank you for showing me life."
