[CHRISTMAS] Duke brought me here at the Holy Grain Coffee Shop that is only nearby. He is now sitting in front of me and we are waiting for our order to arrive. I only order a Cappuccino while he order Dolce Latte. I'm a little bit uneasy at this moment, thinking what are we going to talk about. Is it about what happened between us that night? Oh crap! I hope it is not. "Is there something troubling you, Christmas?" Duke asked in his forehead knotted. "Can I go in the comfort room?" I asked permission instead of answering his question. He chuckled. "Of course, you can just don't make me wait too long." I didn't reply on him and immediately walk towards the comfort room. I face myself in the mirror and close my eyes for a second, thinking what I should do if it's that we are going to talk about. "I think I can ditch and leave him here?" I said to myself in the mirror, "But I'm sure he will go in the shop or even at my apartment to ask me why I left him? That will make things more complicated." I pulled my hair in frustration by making the situation complicated. So what if we are going to talk about it? It's just a talk. Nothing more and nothing less. But I don't know what I will say! My back was slouch as I got back where I left Duke. Our order are already arrived and I fake a smile as I sit in front him. He is now manly sipping at his Dolce Latte. "So, what are we going to talk about?" I asked and sip also at my Cappuccino. "About what happened to us that night," he answered that made me cough on death, "Hey, are you okay?" I placed my cup back in our table and nodded at him. "I'm sorry. I was just taken aback." I answered. "S-so why do you want to talk about it?" "Why? Don't you wanna talk about it?" he asked me. I averted my eyes outside, feeling my cheeks burning in shame. "I-I want to but I'm not comfortable." "Hahaha. Don't worry we are not going to talk about what we had done exactly that night." I grimaced because I am the only one who is nervous here. "Then what?" I faced him. "It's just a one night stand. What do you want to talk about?" He look at me in the eyes seriously that made me gulped twice. "I want things to work out." "W-what do you mean?" "You and me, Christmas. I want us to work out." My mouth forme into O on what he just said. "You are kidding, right? You had a fiancee and you are talking about us to work out? Are you insane!" I yelled quitely. "We are already done. I told you she cheated on me." "You are telling me you want us to work out? Did you even ask yourself, if you already move on at her? You will just going to make me a cover for her while in the fact you still love her!" I said that I didn't even think every words came out in my mouth. "O-kay? Calm down, Christmas. I am not hurrying things and for your information, I don't care anymore at her since the day I caught her cheating." "Tsk. That fast?" I raised my eyebrow. "I don't believe you. It's impossible you don't really care anymore." I averted back my eyes outside. "Then let me make you believe." I faced him in my forehead knotted. "What do you really want, Duke?" "I already told you. I want us to work-" "Yea, I already know that you want us to work out but why me? We don't even know each other and you just met me that day. Are you playing on me because there is something happened that night?" "What?!" He looks at me unbelievable. "I ain't like the man you were thinking, Christmas. I'm not playing here and I can't do that to you." He said sounded like I offended him. "Okay, I'm sorry," I only had said and drink at my cup to hide the tense. He heaved a sigh. "I don't have any bad intention with you, Christmas. I just want to know you more because you seems different from other girls I known." He said and I just remained silent, sipping at my cup even it's already empty. "I want to know you more, Christmas and I hope we can work things out." He pause. "I don't know when I will see you again but if you like to see me, you can contact my secretary or go at my company." He place small white card in front of me. "Okay," I stupidly said and kept the card. "I guess you are already done sipping at your empty cup," he said laughing at me. "Ah-eh y-yea," I just said and place down my empty cup. Duke brought me back here in the shop and left quickly because he has a job to do. I took the card he gave to me and there is an Earl Grey that written together its address while a contact number is written at the back. While looking the card in my hand, I suddenly remembered what he said recently. Is he really serious? "I don't have any bad intention with you, Christmas. I just want to know you more because you seems different from other girls I known." "I want to know you more, Christmas and I hope we can work things out." "I don't know when I will see you again but if you like to see me, you can contact my secretary or go at my company." I heaved a sigh. "Why are you doing this to me, Duke?" I asked in the air and about to place back the card in my pocket when... "What is this?" "Auntie! That's mine!" I said, trying to get the card to her. "Calm down, Christmas," she said and distance herself to me, "Hmm. Earl Grey? Why do you have this kind of card?" she asked, raising her brow. "I just got it!" I answered and get the card quickly in her hand. "Hmm. Did the man gave it to you? Is he the one owning that Earl Grey?" "W-whose man you are talking about?" I asked innocently. "C'mon, Christmas! The man you are with when you left recently. Is he courting you? If he is, you should grab the opportunity." My forehead knotted. "Grab the opportunity? What do you mean?" I asked stupidly even I know what she meant. Aunt Lorie suddenly twined her arm to me and we are walking back now inside the shop. "You know what, Christmas? You are beautiful, smart and hard working person. Sometimes you need to be practical if you want a better life." She said that making my forehead knotted. "That is why I'm telling you, if he is courting you or whatever don't miss the chance.” I quickly distance myself and face her. “I am not a good digger, Auntie.” Her eyes widened. “What? That is not what I meant, Christmas.” “But it is to me. I know what you are trying to intend and no!” I said and walk towards at the counter. “Think about it, Christmas. You will realize that I am right,” she said once more before she get back at her mini office.
