When Kelly finally felt better, it was already Saturday the next day. She did not have to go to work so she just stayed in the orphanage to oversee the final touches of Adeline's birthday celebration on Sunday.
And since her mommy was there, Kelly took advantage of the opportunity to always stay by Ely's side. Elyana let her be as she was still weak. Her eyes were puffy but her big smile hid that at first glance.
By the middle of the day, Kelly disappeared from her side. Elyana was busy so she did not pay attention much to it. Besides, she knew, the kids couldn't just leave the premises without going through the gates with high security.
However, when it was already lunchtime, Elyana started asking for Kelly's whereabouts. But the negative reply from the staff got her worried.
