 “MA’AM, you can’t just intrude Mr. Monte Mayor’s unit. We followed protocols here.” Nagkanda-ugagang sabi ng clerk ng condominium building kung saan umuukupa si Drake.

Hinablot niyang bigla ang susi ng condo ni Drake after she addressed herself as Drake’s wife to the clerk although, the woman was quiet skeptical about it.

“Do I have to remind myself? I’m Mr. Monte Mayor’s wife and I need this damn key!” Bulyaw niya sa clerk na napatahimik nalang habang patakbong pinasok ni Ava ang elevator.

“Hell!” Her hands were shivering while holding the key written no. 35th room.

Nasapo niya ang sintido. Gusto niyang maguilty sa tinuran niya sa clerk but she couldn’t help it. She earned her demeanors for such a long time—but not that long until tonight.

Lahat naman siguro ay mamabaliw kapag nalamang nilang nagpanggap na patay ang isang tao just to escape their marriage.

“Drake Monte Mayor, you played very well.” Ava said when she sternly inserted the key and opened it. Right in front of her was Drake’s stunned face while facing naked to his woman undressed, too.

“Oh, s**t! Who the hell are you!?” The man exclaimed and hurriedly grabbed a blanket.

“Who’s this girl!?” The woman yelled at dali-daling isinuot ang mga hinubad na damit.

“Who am I!?” Hindi sukat akalain ni Ava na iyon ang maririnig niya sa mga labi ni Drake. Kaya sinugod niya ito at pinagsusuntok sa dibdib at sinampal niya ito ng pagkalakas-lakas.

“That—for fooling me and my family, you coward!” She fiercely asserted to young man’s shattered face.

“You should’ve told me if you really wanted to back out from the wedding—hindi yung ganito..” Isa-isang pumatak ang mga luha ni Ava habang ang babaeng nasa harapan ay naningkit ang mga mata na nakatingin sa lalake.

“Bastard!” The woman said and abruptly went out.

“Wait--! f**k! Who are you?! And..what the hell are you talking about!?” Galit na sabi ng lalake na nakabihis na ng damit and anger registered to his face. Namumula ito sa kahihiyan at p********l ni Ava.

“Well-played, Drake! Your s**t pretended you just died and now pretending you got—a what—amnesia? Damn you! I hate you!” Galit na wika ni Ava habang papalabas ng condo nito.

“s**t! I’m not my—I’m not Drake!” Pahabol pa nito kay Ava.

“Oh yeah? Right, you are the only son of the devil so, you can stay in hell!” Then Ava descended sobbing and shattered from what she found. Worst feeling she have felt than she knew that Drake died…

MM Elite Company...

“KENDREIK!” Mr. Erik Monte Mayor’s voice soared inside the conference room.

Tumikhim si Kendreik when he finally woke up from his reverie—still about last night’s incident.

“Yeah? What was that?” He doesn’t even have an interest about his Dad’s subject kung bakit ito nagpatawag ng isang private conference just between them.

“Are you even listening?” Naningkit ang mata ng matanda sa ipinakitang kawalan ng interes nito sa pamamalakad ng kompanya.

“You knew my verdict ‘bout this, Dad. You don’t have to ask about my interest.” He coldly said to his dad’s startled face.

“And what? You’ll just waste your life doing nonsense in Paris?” His dad candidly exclaimed na hindi nagustuhan ng tenga ni Kendrei.

“You don’t know about my life, ‘dad’—or should I have to addressed you that? I and mom were leaving at peace in Paris—contented with our simple life.” Nagtatagis ang bagang ni Kendrei at tumayo sa kinauupuan.

“Son—“

“I should have not left Paris. This is nonsense.” Kendreik disclosed their conversation and was about to open the door nang bumakas ‘agad ang pinto.

“Tito Erik, I’m sorry—I’m late—.” Ava froze when she entered the conference room.

Erik Monte Mayor called her just an hour ago to attend a very important meeting with him. Kahit namumugto pa ang mga mata niya sa kakaiyak dahil sa nalaman niya about Drake, she was certain about their agenda—it would be Drake’s real score.

Ava also wanted to make manifestations about their company. As CEO, she wanted to separate with MM Elite. She knew, his dad’s company has an excellent capabalities without them.

“…and that would be my first step to forget Drake and move on.” She uttered to herself while she was driving earlier.

“You!” Kendreik yelled out nang mapagsino ang babaeng nasa harapan niya ngayon. How can she forget this girl having a blazing hazel eyes last night? He was thinking about her awhile ago kaya ‘di siya nakinig sa mga sinasabi ng kanyang ama tungkol sa company nila.

Naningkit ang mga mata ni Ava ng makita ang ayaw na niyang makita pang muli. Her face was 5 inches away from him, that she could almost smell his mint breath.

“Hi, cat woman.” Kendreik gave a sweet smile to the startled woman in front of him. Naniningkit pa rin ang mata nito sa ‘di niya malaman na dahilan. He recalled her hitting and slapping his face last night like a mad cat.

He was about to hit a ‘jackpot’ with this sexy woman she met in the Resto bar nang pabiglang pumasok sa condo niya ang babae and accused him a lot of stern accusations.

MALAKAS na sampal ang nagpagising kay Kendreik when he recalled last night’s incident. Nasapo niya ang namumulang panga.

“You devil!” nanggagalaiti sa  galit si Ava nang tawagin pa siyang ’cat woman’ ng lalake. Something’s changed with him—he became so rude! O ‘di kaya’y noon pa man ay bastos na ito at ngayon lang niya napagtanto.

“Woman, you’ve done a lot of physical harassment against me.” Kendreik startled from that slap and made him annoyed. Sumusobra na ang p********l nito sa kanya. He doesn’t even know her!

“Hija, Kendreik—please sit down.” Erik’s baritone’s voice hault them both, specially Ava when she heard another name.

Tumalima sina Ava and Kendreik habang halatang naiinis pa rin ang binata dahilan ng pagkakasampal. Titig na titig naman si Ava rito.

“Ava, please meet my second son—Drake’s twin brother, Kendreik. Son, this is Ava—CEO of Ava Empire our long time partner since then and fiancé of your late brother.” Pagpapakilala ni Erik sa dalawa.

“Oh, yeah? No wonder, I received slaps and punches.” Patuyang saad ni Kendreik nang makilala kung sino ang magandang babaeng mahilig panampal sa kanya.

“D-drake’s t-twin?” Ava stammered she she heard it all and suddenly, last night’s incident flashed deeply within her thoughts when she swooped inside his flat without any preamble…

“Drake Monte Mayor, you played very well.”

“Oh, s**t! Who the hell are you!?”

 “Well-played, Drake! Your s**t pretended you just died and now pretending you got—a what—amnesia? Damn you! I hate you!”

“s**t! I’m not my—I’m not Drake!” Pahabol pa nito kay Ava.

“Oh yeah? Right, you are the only son of the devil so, you can stay in hell!”

“Hija..” Pukaw ni Erik sa dalagang natulala sa kinauupuan nito.

“T-tito?” Napaiktad si Ava. Gusto niyang matunaw sa kahihiyan na nagawa niya sa kambal ni Drake.

I saw him naked with his girlfriend. I accused him, slap him, punched him as hard as I could—but, oh my God, his not Drake! What was I thinking?

“Ava, para yatang namumutla ka? Are you okay?” Erik’s voice was a bit worried. Ava looked so pale.

While Kendreik snorted at halatang natatawa sa kinauupuan.

“No, tito..I’m fine. It’s just—I..I didn’t anticipate this. I really thought he’s Drake.” She explained and as she regained her poise, she humbly stared Kendreik although she saw Drake’s physique.

“I’m sorry about last night—I..I thought you were Drake.” Paumanhin ni Ava sa lalake na halatang ‘di naman nasiyahan sa paghingi niya ng dispensa.

“Well, damage has been done..” Sabi ng binata sabay hawak sa panga nito.

“Anyway, I called you both for a very important matter. I and Edric worked hard for our company joining our ambitions to unite our names as one. As our descendants, you’ll both do the same..” Erik started.

“What the hell I could do for those anachronistic ambitions of yours?” Naiiritang saad ni Kendreik at maging si Ava ay nagugulohan rin sa narinig.

“You will marry Ava,instead.” Erik declaired without hesitations straight to their shocked faces.
