Jun vs. Gyu

Soonyang enjoyed talking about her experiences to them. It was the first time that she was able to tell these things towards others for she always refuse to do this before, even with Ji.

"To continue my stories. May naexperience din ako nung lumipat ako ng school na ang speed naman masyado. And eventually, nalaman ko nalang nung binasted ko na meron na ulit niliigawan from our class. Diba nakakatawa? Sinong di madadala magpaligaw nun?"

Ji laughed at what Soonyang said.

" I have the same experience, Soons. Sakin naman, hindi lang pala ako ang niliigawan. Sabay sabay, para kung sinong sumagot, go."

Even Cheolo laughed at what Ji shared.

"Then ayun, As I transferred to a new school din, there I met Jun. We became friends kasi sya ang tumutulong sakin habang nag aadjust pa ko sa bagong culture ng school namin. And I got more close with boys than with girls dahil nga hindi ko trip yung mga pasweet image, ganan."

(Flashback to 14 year old Soonyang)

Jun sat beside Soonyang who's fixing her things after their last period.

"Soons, pakopya ako ng notes mo."

"Eto. Nga pala Jun, sabay ulit tayo pag uwi ha."

"Pahiram muna ako ng Gameboy mo."

"Halaa, ikaw na palagi gumagamit nito ha!"

"Isauli ko nalang bukas. Punta ako sa inyo."

"Sure yan ha? Baka hanapin bigla ni Mama."

"Sure, sure. Salamat!"

Everyone can notice Soonyang and Jun's closeness that even their classmates think they are an item.

But then, there Soonyang met Gyu.

With the new additions to their class, they got their sitting arrangement changed. Soonyang became Gyu's seatmate. Gyu knew about Soonyang for she is an honor student and somehow popular at the school.

"Hi, baby."

Soonyang in shock, looking around if there's someone then pointed to herself. "Ako ba yung tinawag mong baby? Ganyan ba ang pagbati mo sa mga bago mo palang nakikilala?"

"Hindi naman, sayo lang." Gyu seems to have a large amount of confidence that even it is their first meeting, he got Soonyang laughing at whatever he says.

As time goes by, they became closer and closer. Soonyang enjoys being with and teasing Gyu.

"Babe- I mean Soonyang, Ang galing mo talaga, top 1 ka nanaman."

"Well, ganun ata talaga pag maganda ka na tapos masipag ka pa?"

"Ayy, caught off guard ako dun ah." The two always have fun joking around that even when Gyu told Soonyang that he likes her, Soonyang thought it was a joke.

I really hope it was just a joke. I don't want to assume. I might get hurt.

"Soonyang, seryoso nga ako."

"If I know, you call all your girl classmates 'baby'. How do you think that I'll buy it, huh?"

"I'm dead serious this time, Soons."

"If you say so. But please don't expect me to believe you agad. I know you."

"Sure. I promised and swear that I'm serious about it. I like you nga. And if you'll let me, I'll court you." Soonyang think for a couple of minutes before answering, "Bahala ka."

Jun noticed that Gyu and Soonyang are getting closer and closer.

Jun decided to tell Soonyang that he likes her too and he's more than willing to sacrifice their friendship just to let Soonyang know how he feels before it's too late.

Jun invited Soonyang for a stroll at the mall on weekend.

"So, anong gagawin natin dito?"

"Tara, kain muna tayo. San mo ba gusto, Soons?"

The two ate at a fastfood chain and got to talk about their week.

"Salamat pala sa libre, akala ko KKB nanaman tayo e. Hahaha. Upo tayo dun sa bench, Jun."

"Sure, sure."

Soonyang noticed that Jun was agitated and seems to be very nervous.

"May gusto ka bang sabihin? Bakit parang di ka mapakali jan? Pinagpapawisan ka rin e ang lamig lamig dito sa mall."

"Hmm- Soons, listen. Don't hate me sa sasabihin ko ha? Matagal ko na talaga 'to pinag isipan. Nakapag ipon narin ng lakas ng loob. Kaya please, listen to me muna ha."

"Sure, sure. Basta ba wag mo lang sasabihin na manliligaw ka, magagalit talaga ako sayo." Jun was silenced by what Soonyang said. He took minutes before answering.

Spoiler ka talaga, Soonyang.

"Hoy, Jun. Ano nga yung sasabihin mo?"

"Paano kung sabihin ko nga na gusto kita, na gusto kitang ligawan?"

"Hindi magandang biro yan, Jun!" While hitting him on his arms.

"It's not a joke, Soons. I'm serious. Will you let me court you." Soonyang looked down before answering.

"I'm- I'm so sorry, Jun. I can't. Pansin mo naman siguro na I liked Gyu already. I'm so sorry." Soonyang can't even look at Jun this time.

It breaks her heart also.

She knew that this would break their friendship also but she have to tell her the truth. Bakit mo 'to ginawa, Jun?

Jun stood up and patted Soonyang's head before leaving. Soonyang was left alone. As he looked behind the mall's railings, he saw Jun who was silently crying while on the escalator.

After Jun's confession, the two became distant with each other. Soonyang tries at times to approach Jun but the latter always drags himself away from her.

"What's the matter, Babe~ I mean Soonyang?"

"Nothing." After a deep breath.

"Sabay ba ulit kayo ni Jun pag uwi mamaya?"

"I don't think so."

"Why? May nangyari ba? Anong meron?"

"I don't know either. It's his fault naman, I guess. So hindi dapat ako nag woworry." Soonyang then looked away from Jun and face Gyu.

"So, nakausap nyo na ba si Maam? Ano daw status nyo for the graduation. Officially na ba kayo na included sa class namin?"

"Sadly, hindi daw. We're considered a class parin daw kahit splitted kami sa iba't ibang class. Sad ka ba na di tayo magkatabi sa graduation ceremony?"

"Baliw ka! Masaya pa nga ako nun."

"Talaga lang huh? Edi ako ang sad." Gyu pouted that Soonyang finds cute.

"Pa-cute ka talaga."

"Soonyang, basta I'll wait for you ha? Kahit hanggang College o graduation ng College pa yan."

"Bahala ka." Soonyang smiled at Gyu.

(End of flashback)

"So what happened? Where's Gyu na? Tsaka paano pala kayo nagka ayos ni Jun?"

"Yeah, we have communication until now. But actually, Ji. It's been a week since my last conversation with Gyu through a call. Wala pa ko update sa kanya ngayon. Maybe he's busy. Sa Manila kasi sya nag College. For Jun naman, we've given a chance to talk before the graduation ceremony. We have no choice. Close ang mga mommies namin kaya magkakasama kaming pumunta sa school that day."

"Pero girl, nakikita ko na di parin nawawala ang feelings sayo ni Jun. Diba Woo?" Woo flinched at Ji's question.

"How would I know?"

"Diba, mahirap para sa inyo na itago ang nararamdaman nyo towards someone? Kitang kita sa actions and reactions nyo pag may something."

"I agree to that Ji. And napapansin namin Woo na iba ka lately. You're more lively and talkative. You look inspired."

"Well, I made it clear to Jun naman that we're just friends. Nothing more, nothing less for me." Woo was somehow saved by Soonyang from the hotseat.

"Pero, Soons. Promise. Iba talaga ang pakiramdam ko sa Jun nayan. Anyways, meron pa bang next?"

"Eto, Ji. Ngayon ko palang sasabihin sayo 'to."
