When a roar of applause from the surrounding players was heard, Mercy was anchored back to reality. The loud cheers and claps were followed by the sweet voice of the lady in the speaker who woke her senses up. Pain stung on her chest.
“Players, since the god mother is here, I would like everyone to know that the third game of Evolution is finally happening, right now.”
The cheerful and spirited atmosphere inside Heaven died down. Everyone was reminded of the reality; of why they were there in the first place. The background music that was played through the speakers tried to hide the desperation and fear of the remaining players. Because of the sound effects, someone might have misunderstood the situation; that things were fun and okay. But no.
