I was thinking what to order habang nakapila sa cafeteria , and suddenly i felt na may nakatingin sa akin.. i look around but there's no one. But when i turned my gaze sa table namin there i saw Briee looking at our side or is she looking at me?..
She seems space out..but when she realized i was looking at her, bahagya itong nagulat. "Cute...." I can't help my self smiling dahil sa reaction nito.
I decided to order pasta for her ,because she didn't like to heat a heavy meal. Nate will buy food for Nicky and Vincent for Kiara, while Rael will be holding our drinks.
Pabalik na kami sa table , when i saw Rael looking at Nicky's phone.. and then he's smiled dis appeared and he is somehow irritated. Pabagsak nitong nilagay ang bottle ng juice sa harap ni Nicky, na ikinabigla ng dalawa.
I gave Briee her food and i started to eat. Then Kiara arrived she looks a bit of excited. I heard her asking if the Jackson High will be our visitor for this year's Foundation day. Only Nate answered her.The three girls started talking about the guy from Jackson High.
To tell you honestly we were like a jealous beast pagdating sa tatlong kaibigan naming babae, As if we were born to protect them from other jerks. I don't even know why , basta ganun kami sa kanila... Especially when it comes to Briee. I didn't like the idea that she is admiring other guys.
I saw her spacing out again habang kausap sila Nicky at Kiara, Is she admiring that jerk?
I distracted her attention.
"Eat your food!" I said to her. "Don't mind them.." i added and she just nodded as she continue to eat her food.
I've finished my food so i decided to get her favorite.. mango cheese cake.
Why am i doing this? Well i don't know too.. i just feel i have to do it. I know what she likes that can make her smile.
I put it in front of her... she seems confused while she was looking at me.
"You don't like it ?" I said, kukunin ko na sana ulit ang cake ng bigla niya itong kinuha.
" Of course i like it !" she said with a shy smile. Then she started eating the cake.
She seems uneasy dahil siguro sa pagkakatitig ko sa kanya.
She suddenly offered me the cake.
" you want some..?" she asked .
I don't really eats sweet foods,but a little bite ,i guess is not too much.
"Can i?" i asked
"Sure.." she said as she push the plate towards me.
I saw the fork she used and grab it and i slice some and taste the cake.
I don't mind if we were using the same fork. I somehow like the idea of it.. "its tasty, but too sweet for me" i said.
"yeah" she smiled "and its my favorite". She said.
"I know !" I said and return the fork to her.
She eats the remaining cake with the same fork and it made me smile.
My mood suddenly went cold again as i heard them talking that guy again.
And then the three boys seems fed up too.
" I saw that guy once.." Rael said habang nakatingin kay Nicky.
" he's not that good looking as you think." Vince added .
"I also heard that guy, changes his girl friend every week." comment din ni Nathan.
"So don't make any effort, hindi rin naman kayu papansinin niyan." Rael said as he smirked.
"hmmp..! We're not asking for your opinion guys!" Naiiritang sabi ni Nicky.
"Don't do silly things" i added,looking at Briee ,i was more talking to her than the others..." unless you didn't mind seeing him returning to his school..dis abled!" i said coldly, i will broke his leg ,pag ito na gustuhan ni Briee.
They seems, scared kaya natahimik nalang ang tatlong babae.
"Come with me..", i stand up and told Briee, i grab her hand and then her back pack. Napatayo nalang din ito and said goodbye to our friends.
"Mauna na muna kami guys, see you at the classroom nalang." Paalam niya kina Nicky at Kiara, napatango nalang sila, ganun din ang tatlong boys.
"Bro ,may practice pa mamya " Rael reminded me. Malapit na ang festival kaya halos araw araw na kaming nagpapractice.
I just raised my extra hand dahil nakatalikod na ko sa kanila, habang hila palabas ng cafeteria si Briee.
Napapatingin tuloy sa amin ang ibang students dahil hawak ko ang braso niya. Nang nasa labas na kami ng cafeteria, i stop for while and then let go oh her hands as i turned to her.
"You like him?" I asked .
"Who..?" tila naguguluhang sagot nito.
"that guy from Jackson!" may diin kung tanung at matiim ko siyang tinitigan as i was studying her face., As if nasa mukha nito ang sagot. I was so furious and a little bit scared sa isasagot niya.
But then she just smiled..
" What made you think that? " natatawang sabi nito.
" Never mind , forget what I said" naiiritang sabi ko at tatalikod na sana..
" hmm.. sabagay, he's good looking naman talaga..!"
What did she just said..??good looking huh..!! I turned around to see what it is she ups too.
"Let me think.." she said and crossed her arms accrosed her chest "can I - ..."
"NO!!" bigla kong putol sa sasabihin nito. I was really furious , kung nandito lang yung lalaking yun, baka nabalian ko na siya ng buto.
I saw her teasing smile.. nagsalubong lalo ang kilay ko.. "am i joke to her?"
" Hey...I'm not done talking yet" natatawang sabi nito.
"Forget it" sabi ko at ayaw ko nadin pag usapan kaya i grab her hand and started to walk.
We stop sa harap ng library.
"library..!?" Nagtatakang tanung nito.
I nodded while looking at the library.
"Seriously, anung gagawin natin dito?" sabi nito, nagtataka siguro ito kung bakit dito ko siya dinala..dahil alam naman niya na hindi kami madalas tumambay dito.
"Wait, my assignment ba tayo? She asked again.
My actions seems funny to her.. and i guessed she is enjoying teasing me. But i can do it better too...
I bend down para magkapantay ang mukha namin and look straight into her eyes.
" Why? " I asked "may iniisip ka pa bang ibang lugar na dapat nating puntahan?" I smirked, at bigla na naman itong na space out.
" Err ..s-sabi..ko nga..d-dito sa library." she stammered at nagmamadaling pumasok sa loob. I have the winning smile as i followed her.
Parang wala padin ito sa sarili habang naglalakad, habang nakasunod lang ako sa kanya and then she suddenly turned around.. dahil nakasunod ako sa likod niya.. nabangga siya sa dibdib ko. So i hold her arms para hindi siya bumagsak.
"Are you alright?" I aked her.
Subrang lapit ng mukha namin, and it seems i can't hold my self anymore..
She was also starring at me and there were something in her eyes..
"Briee..." I called her name softly.
Bigla nalang itong natauhan and she stepped back ward.
"I'm f-fine" she said . Aalis na sana ito when i grabbed her hand again.
"stay here!" I said ,as i guide her sa reading table.
"Sit!" i said to her habang hinihila ang isang upuan. As she seated umupo din ako sa tabi niya.
Ramdam ko ang pagod sa ilang araw naming practice kaya naisipan kong magpahinga muna sa library, but i feel more relaxed pag katabi ko siya so i dragged her here.
" I'll just take a nap! " i said. "just stay here ...please and wake me up before the class started" she look at me and nodded and then i close my eyes....
If she only knows, how much she means to me.
If only i could tell her......
