I woke up with a comfortable, fuzzy feeling in my chest being in Jaxx’s embrace. The heat of his skin enveloped me as he pressed on my back and against my thighs, his arm wound around my waist. His warm steady breath on my shoulder made me want to meld into him. A small smile crept to my face as I kissed the inside of his arm my head was resting on. He smelled like home. I wanted to stay right here, just like this until January 1st. I knew I would regret this soon. Let regret come later. I wanted to savor the moment that I wasn’t able to appreciate the first time around. This was bliss. Absolute bliss.
