"Hey! You're back." Niara beamed when she saw Aiden standing by the kitchen door.
He has been standing there for a while, just quietly watching her breeze through the kitchen. She looked a lot better than she did when he brought her there the other day. She also felt more at ease in the kitchen too and somehow, he couldn't help thinking about his mom.
"Hi. What's on the menu, chef?" He smiled back albeit weakly.
"Not a chef." She giggled. "But... I cooked fish. Sour fish stew with lots of water spinach." She grinned. "I saw a fisherman while I was walking along the beach this morning so I bought some fresh fish. I hope you like sour fish stew." She said as she scooped some of the soup dishes in a big bowl.
"That's actually my favorite." He told her while walking towards her directio
