It is Saturday yet we have a make up class due to the 3 day suspension last Monday to Wednesday. There will be 2 more make up classes to catch up the lessons we missed.
After class, some of us went to Markim's house which is 10-15 minutes bus ride from school. As usual, each one of us contributed to buy snacks, pancit canton and soda-- current favorite miryenda of highschoolers today.
After eating, we decided to play spin the bottle. No dares, only truth. We used the soda bottle. To whom the bottom part points will ask question and to whom the opening part points, answers the question.
The questions circled around, who is your crush in our batch, do you still have feelings for your ex, who do you like the least and why, who do you think is playing safe etc.
The game was fun not until the opening part of the bottle points to Glacy and the bottom to Alden. Alden asked, "Have you been jealous?" Glacy immediately replied, "I've never been jealous." It was still cool. Glacy spinned the bottle again and guess what, the opening still points to her and the bottom to Alden. There was no rule that one cannot be asked again. So Alden asked again, this time it was so specific.
Alden: Have you been jealous with Elai?
Everyone was shocked with that question. It was dead silent for like 30 seconds. No one dared to speak. We kept on exchanging glances during that silence. Glacy was just staring at Alden the whole time, like she was cursing him on the back of her mind. Bobb, Glacy's boyfriend was about to speak up to change the question but Glacy replied with an emotionless face and cold voice, "No, I've never been jealous of anyone." With that, the game ended. Markim immediately changed the topic and said we all should go home. When we checked the time, it was already 6 pm. No one noticed the time not until that happened.
A short back story about Bobb and Elay. They were never a couple. When were in sophomore, Bobb was a transferee and her first crush was Elay, a freshmen. It was crush at first sight. Elay is undoubtedly beautiful, her face shows innocence. Too bad, she is the school principal's niece and they live under the same roof. Ms. Egay caught Bobb and Elay chatting at the middle of the night. From what we heard, they were caught not only once. One was at 2 am. So Ms. Egay was very furious. The next day, she talked to Bobb to stopped it because for God's sake Elay is just a freshmen, only 13 years old. They did not stopped after that until they were caught again. The funny part was Ms. Egay said Elay was under her blanket so she thought her niece was asleep but the light coming from her mobile phone won't lie. Typical teenager Elay is, haha! That is when the news spread all over the school. This is all I know from what happened back then. We don't even know if the feeling was mutual. One more thing, I think the real reason why Alden asked Glacy that question was because he also had a crush on Elay back then. How irony.
It ruined the mood so we went home after that. What I really love with our boys classmates is that everytime we go somewhere even if it's just a 5 minutes walk from your house. They will make sure that you go home safely. They will walk with you up to your house or go with you if it's a bus ride. Sweet? Yes! That's who they are, that's why I am blessed with the circle of friend I have.
