A Night with a Stranger

Chapter 21

Buong maghapon lang nakahiga si Jamaica sa penthouse ni Light. Medyo masama pa rin ang pakiramdam niya kaya tinatamad siyang bumangon. It was nearly dark when she decided to get up from the bed and check the fridge. She needs something to eat. She smiled when it was full of stocks. Unlike before his fridge is full of unhealthy food. She prepared all the ingredients needed for her chicken curry. She hummed while cooking. Nagsaing na rin siya ng kanin para pagdating ng binata ay kakain agad sila. He said to come home and she expected him to come at 7:00 p.m.

Tapos na siya sa pagluluto pero wala pa rin ang binata. It is past 8:00 o'clock in the evening. She sighed heavily while looking at the food she prepared for him. Baka na traffic lang siguro. She even checked her phone, maybe he sent a text message to her but it wasn't. She waited for another hour but still disppointed. Wala pa rin si Light. She sighed bitterly.

"What do I expect from him?" she said in melancholy. Lumamig na ang pagkain pero wala pa rin si Light kaya she decided to stand up and leave. Umuwi siya sa kanyang sariling condo. Nakaramdam na naman siya ng kalungkutan habang pinagmasdan ang kawalan. She checked her account. While scrolling up her newsfeed, nakita niya ang post ni Bliss. "Thank you, boss." yon ang caption ni Bliss and ang picture nito kasama si Light. Nakaramdam siya ng kirot sa kanyang puso ngunit hindi naman magawang magselos kay Bliss sapagkat ikakasal na ito. She turned off her phone and laid down her bed.

"Thank you, boss sa pagsama sa akin. Naiinis kasi sa pagmumukha ni Night eeh. Ayaw kong makita pagmumukha niya pag kumakain ako. Nasusuka ako."nakasimangot na sabi Bliss sa kanya habang kumakain ng Sundae.

"Pinaglilihian mo na naman yong fiance mo. Sa akin na naman yon maiinis. Alam mo naman napaka seloso non." natatawa niyang sabi kay Bliss.

"Bahala siya sa buhay niya. Basta inis na inis ako ngayon sa kanya pero pag hindi niya naman ako kakausapin eh nalulungkot din ako." pagmamaktol pa ni Bliss sa kanya.

"Hormonal imbalance. Dahil yan sa pagbubuntis mo. Sige ka baka maging kamukha yan ni Night." nakangiti niyang sabi kay Bliss. He founf her adorable. He thought he liked her more than just a friend or sister maybe she looked like Alanna but hindi pala. It's a platonic love. He just sees her as his little sister.

"Thank you talaga boss pogi sa pagsama sa akin. Masama kasi pakiramdam ni Jam kaya di ako nasamahan eeh."

He suddenly stop blinking when he realized that Jamaica was there in his penthouse.

"Boss, okay ka lang?"tanong bigla ni Bliss ng mapansin nitong hindi siya nagsasalita.

"Y-yeah. I am fine. Ahmp, are you done?"

Tumango si Bliss sa kanya. "Come on. Let's go. Ihahatid na kita sa inyo." aya niya kay Bliss.

"No need na boss. Nasa labas na si Night. Sinusundo na ako. hehehehe..." sabi ni Bliss. Lumabas na sila sa Jollibee para umuwi na and true to her words nasa labas na nga si Night naghihintay sa fiance nito. Masama ang tingin nito sa kanya but he just smiled at him.

"Don't look at me like that. Your fiance doesn't want to dine with you." he teased him.

"Whatever." Night said in annoyance.

"Baby, don't be hard on him. He was telling the truth okay." naglalambing na sabi ni Bliss kay Night.

"Sige na. e uwi mo na yang fiance mo." He said. Night and him are now okay. They fixed everything. Afterall, they are family. Whatever happened from the past was part of the memories already. They need to move forward.

He drove his car immediately to his penthouse. Baka naghihintay na sa kanya si Jamaica doon at hindi pa ito kumain. Nag take out na lang siya ng pagkain para sa dalaga.

Pagkarating niya sa kanyang penthouse, madilim at tahimik.

"Did she leave already?" he asked to himself. He turned on the lights and checked his bedroom, wala na ang dalaga doon. Pumunta na lang siya sa kusina para ilagay sa fridge ang binili niyang pagkain.

He looked at the table, may nakahandang pagkain roon. There was a sticky note on top of it.

"Just reheat the food if you want to eat. I assumed you didn't eat your dinner. I hope you like it. "- Jamaica

He called her but out coverage area ang dalaga. Kinain niya ang pagkain niluto ng dalaga and the taste was familiar to him. He believed that it was not the first time he ate the food she cooked for him. He wanted to remember everything. Naniniwala siyang si Jamaica ay parte ng buhay niya but he wasn't sure of it.

Pagkarating ni Light sa opisina agad niyang pinuntahan si Jamaica. She looked at him flatly and coldly. Alam niyang palaging masama ang tingin nito sa kanya dati but today is different.

"Is there anything you need,sir?" pormal nitong tanong sa kanya. Her eyes looked so deadly.

"We need to talk. Ahmmp, I am sorry. I was not able to come home early last night. Are you okay now?" he apolegitically said.

"You don't need to apologize, sir. I was grateful that you took care of me.I am just your employee so you don't need to apologize if you come home or not. kung yan lang ang sadya mo sir pwede na po kayong umalis. May kailangan pa akong tapusin. Anyway, may meeting pa kayo ni Mr. Mariano mamaya." she said coldly. Light looked at her intently. He tried to read what was in her mind.

"What?Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked irratingly.

He smiled "You looked gorgeous when you are irratated." he said

"Whatever, Mr. Del Monte. You can now leave my office. Kahit ikaw pa ang boss dito you can not just disturb my work anytime you want." bulyaw ng dalaga sa binata. She felt uncomfortable when he looked at her. Feeling niya parang may hindi na kanais -nais itong nasa isip. She knew that stare.

"Are you afraid of me?" he asked . Inilapit pa nito ang mukha sa kanya. Pilit niya namang lumayo.

"Lumayao ka nga sa akin at bumalik sa office mo." pagtataboy niya sa binata. Mahina ang tolerance niya pagdating kay Light.

“I will not leave until you will forgive me.”

“Arggggh. Gosh Light Assher Del Monte. Para kang bata. Okay, na nga.” naiinis niya talagang sabi. “stop acting like a child. It will not work for me.”

“sure?”

She glared at him.

“But I like looking at you when you are pissed off at me. I wanted to kiss you badly.” he said nonchalantly. Nanlaki ang mata niya sa sinabi ng binata. He was so bold and vulgar in his words. Walang filter talaga ang bibig nito.

“Stop playing with me, Mr. Del Monte. We are here to work not to play around. Leave me alone.” she said dryly.

“What if I don’t? What are you going to do?” he said seductively.

“Shit.” napamura na lang siya sa kanyang isip. He looked adorable. Bago pa man siya makapag-isip ng matino. Sinakop na ng binata ang kanyang bibig. She was shocked for a second and did not respond to his kiss but the man tried his best to infiltrate her mouth and kissed her torridly. Indeed a good kisser.Nadarang na siya sa halik ng binata. She responded. His hands began to roam around her body. Her body arched and moved in pleasure. She felt a tingling sensation because of his touch. Naging mapangahas na ang binata at saka nagsimulang humalik sa kanyang earlobe pababa sa kanyang leeg. Nag-iinit ang kanyang katawan sa ginawa ng binata.

Bumalik lang ang kanilang katinoan when they heard a knock from the door. Agad natulak ni Jamaica si Light dahilan sa pagka out balance nito.

“Fuck.” he said.

“Oh my gosh. Sorry. Come on. Magtago ka.Ayaw kong ma issue ng dahil sayo.”sabi niya sa binata

“What? Are you kidding me?”

“Bilisan mo na. Diyan ka sa ilalim ng table ko. Faster.” she said at inayos ang sarili. She opened the door kasi naman ni locked ng kumag niyang boss.

“Oh, Mr. Romualdez, what I can do for you?” she asked. Si Mr. Romualdez ay ang accounting head sa accounting department.

“I just want to submit this paper. Kailangan ng perma ni Mr. Del Monte.”anito sabay bigay sa white folder.

“Okay. I’ll give it to him after kong ma check.” she said casually.

“Are you okay, Ms. Cruz. You looked so tense at parang pinagpapawisan ka.” sabi ng lalaki sa kanya.

“Yeah, I am fine. Mainit lang siguro.” she said dryly. “If wala ka ng kailangan, you can now leave.” she said.

“Okay. Well, anyway, are you free tonight? I want to invite you to a dinner.” he asked politely.

“Hmmmp, I’ll think about it.” she said

“Okay. Bye.”

Nakahinga ng maluwag ng umalis ito and close the door. Lumabas naman si Light sa ilalim ng lamesa niya. Natawa si Jamaica sa hitsura ng binata.

“Why are you laughing?” he asked irritatingly.

“You looked horrible. Hahahaha.” komento niya.

“It’s your fault for hiding me there. Fuck.”he said.

“Sige na. Umalis ka na dito baka may iba na naman pumunta dito. Ayaw kong ma issue ng dahil sayo.” she said casually at umupo sa swivel chair niya. Inayos niya ang kanyang buhok and nanlaki ang mata niya ng makita niya ang hickey sa leeg niya

“Light Assher Monteverde Del Monte. What are you doing? Look. You put a hickey on my neck.” inis niyang sabi sa binata.

“You should not go on a date later with Mr. Romualdez, my sunshine.” he smirked. Hinalikan muna siya sa noo bago umalis sa office niya.

“That man is sly as ever.”
