Heiress 15: The Next Day

Irene’s POV

*RING *RING

I sat up and searched for my goddamn phone but I shouldn’t have because my head felt like it’s being pounded damn hard.

Damn it!

Shit!

Damn hangover.

I wonder what had gotten into my mind that I drank so hard last night. I don’t usually drink alcohol more than my tolerance level but last night’s different.

*KNOCK *KNOCK

I looked at the door and there entered Chelsea carrying a tray.

“Paano tayo nakauwi?” tanong ko sa kanya

“I drove us home. Bagsak kayong dalawa ni Jess kagabi eh.” Sabi niya.

“Kayo ni Lav?” tanong ko pero nginitian niya lang ako.

“Inumin mo muna yang hot water and that ibruprofen for your hangover, bumaba ka na pagkatapos. Sabay-sabay tayo mag-agahan.” Sabi niya bago lumabas ng kwarto ko.

Ano bang nangyari kagabi? Wala akong masyadong maalala.

I ran to my bathroom when I felt nauseated. I threw up and when I thought of the smell of alcohol I threw up again. Naghilamos at mumog ako bago lumabas ng bathroom. Nakita ko yung dinala ni Chelsea kaya ininom ko muna yun habang minamasahe ang sentido ko.

I went to the bathroom and took a long bath to ease my hangover then wore an oversized sweatshirt and a denim short pants. I was combing my hair while walking down the stairs.

“Good Morning, Irene.” Bati nila sakin maliban kay Jace na tinanguan lang ako.

Kay Lavalee lang ata nakikipag-usap ang isang yan eh. He’s too cold, though he’s no much to Frost’s cold attitude because the latter took his name so seriously, even Winter, Lavalee’s younger sister, took hers seriously.

Napansin kong kakaunti lang yung mga bantay ngayon. Wala yung mga body guards na galing Italy, if I remember correctly that’s the country those body guards came from as what Lavalee told us.

“Morning.” Sabi ni Jess at umupo sa tabi ko

“Damn. Damn hangover.” Sabi ni Jess kaya napatingin kami sa kanya

“Here.” Chelsea said and slid a tray towards Jess

“Hindi ka dinalhan ni Chelsea?” I asked when I saw that the tray has hot water and ibruprofen, just like what Chelsea brought me earlier.

“She didn’t or maybe I was already in the shower when she came.” She answered while massaging her temple

“Good thing I didn’t have to experience that.” Chelsea commented while looking at us

“Because you didn’t drink at all.” Jess said and leaned on her chair.

“Nagpunta kayo sa bar kagabi?” Caspian asked

“Obviously.” Jess said and rolled her eyes irritatedly

We ate in silence until a maid came in shivering. Chelsea sighed then stood up to walk towards the shivering maid.

“Manang, please tell them not to go to the garden yet, okay?” Chelsea said calmly then went back to her seat and continued eating.

“Si Lav?” I asked her she just pointed at the snowflake in the fridge and I understood what she meant.

Lavalee’s with Frost. I wonder why though.

After we ate, we went to the living room. Jess is just there staring into nothing until I decided to sit beside her.

“I didn’t do or say anything stupid, right?” tanong niya sakin

“Tingin mo maalala ko? Pareho tayong bagsak, bruh.” Sabi ko at inambahan siya ng batok

“Why ka ba naglasing, huh?” tanong niya kaya tinaasan ko siya ng kilay

“Ikaw? Ba’t ka naglasing?” balik tanong ko sa kanya at inirapan niya ako

“Duh! Kagabi lang tayo nakapag clubbing ever since we arrived here in the Seryphil.” Sabi niya at inirapan ako

“Bakit hindi kayo nagpaalam sa amin?” tanong ni Elijah sakin

“I told you before, you can’t control us.” Sagot ko sa kanya

“Pero kahit na, Ms. Irene, delikado parin. Baka masaktan kayo.” Sabi ni Ethan

“As if.” Sabi ni Jess at umirap. Sasagot na rin sana ako nang may marinig kaming malakas na ungol.

*ROAR!

“Si Chelsea!” sabay-sabay na sabi namin at nagtatakbo papunta sa garden

Ang inaasahan namin ay mg butler na nasa defense pero hindi yun ang naabutan namin instead ay mga butler na may dalang tuwalya, pagkain at iba’t ibang laruan.

Narinig naming tumatawa si Chelsea at nakita namin siyang may pinapaliguan na batang tigre. Nung napatingin siya sa amin tumayo siya at inabot sa isang butler yung hose.

“Bakit? May problema ba?” tanong niya pagkalapit samin

“Saan nanggaling yun?” tanong ni Caspian

“Huh? Ang alin?” takang tanong niya sa amin

“Yung t-tigre.” Halatang medyo kinakabahan si Ethan nung sumagot siya

“Si Mnemosyne? She arrived yesterday according to what Lavalee told me.”  Kibit balikat na sagot niya

“Where’s Lavalee?” tanong ni Jace, wow ah sa lahat yata ng sinabi ni Chelsea yung pangalan lang ni Lavalee yung narinig. Aba matindi.

“Kasama ni Kuya Frost.” Sagot ni Chelsea at maya-maya pa ang narinig na namin ang atungal ng batang tigre.

“Coming, Mnemosyne.” Natatawang sabi ni Chelsea at binalikan yung tigreng naliligo.

“Want to join?” tanong ni Chelsea sa amin

“Sure.” Sagot ko at tinulungan siya paliguan yung tigre. Ako yung may hawak ng hose habang si Chelsea naman ang nagsasabon at nag papaamo sa tigre.

Jess was holding the towel while we’re rinsing the tiger.

“Are you hungry, Mnemosyne?” Chelsea asked the small tiger while she’s drying its fur. The tiger answered with a small roar.

“Bakit Mnemosyne?” I asked her while we’re going to the stone tables.

“I don’t know, si Lavalee ang nagsabi ng pangalan sakin.” She answered and we sat on the table.

“Si Lavalee? What’s that to her?” Jess asked while telling a maid to bring her juice

“Mnemosyne’s her pet.” Chelsea said and ordered a maid to bring her sushi and milk.

She was patting and carressing the little tiger on her lap.

“You want to hold her?” she asked me and raised Mnemosyne

“Uh sure.” I answered and she slowly gave the little tiger to me who on the other hand started roaring softly.

“Hi, Mnemosyne.” I said and carressed its head it seemed calm

“Chelsea, Irene, Jess.” Napatingin kami kay Ethan

“May kasong ibinigay sa amin, aalis kami, si Ethan lang ang matitira dito.” Sabi ni Elijah

“Okay.” Sabi ko at umalis na sila habang si Ethan tumabi kay Chelsea

Biglang may nag-flash sa screen ng iPad ni Chelsea na mga salita.

“Living room?” tanong ni Ethan dahil yun ang nakasulat sa screen ng iPad Chelsea.

“Na virus ba yung iPad mo, Chelsea?” tanong ni Ethan dahil naging black yung screen ni Chelsea.

“Hindi. Si Freia ang may gawa niyan.” Sabi ni Chelsea at pumunta na kami sa living room

When we arrived in the living room the TV screen has Freia’s face flashed in it.

“Ohayo, Chelsea-chan, Jess-chan, Irene-chan.” She greeted with a beaming smile

“Ohayo, Freia.” We greeted her back she roamed her eyes on us and her forehead knotted and she tilted her head

“Where’s Onee-chan?” she asked then looked at Ethan meticulously

“Eh? Who’s he?” she asked again while looking at Ethan

“Freia.” Winter’s cold voice was heard then she appeared on the screen while being tugged by Freia.

“Hi, Winter.” Chelsea greeted her

“Ohayo.” She greeted back

“Onee-chan’s not there.” Freia said. I thought she was telling Winter but she was looking at us so it ,eans she’s talking to us

“She’s with Nii-sama, right?” Winter asked and we nodded suddenly Freia smiled widely

“MNEMOSYNE!” she said enthusiastically while waving her hand

“Kilala mo siya, Freia?” I asked her

“Of course, Irene-chan! Mnemosyne’s onee-chan Flame’s pet.” She replied

“So’ka. Flame-chan has her.” Winter said while looking at Mnemosyne

“Naze denwa shita, Freia?” Chelsea asked

At first Freia seemed confused but them she smiled again.

“I asked nii-sama if I could go there. He agreed so I want to tell you.” Freia said then her gaze landed to Ethan again

“Is he Chelsea-chan’s guy?” She asked so innocently

“Nani? Shiru.” Chelsea replied averting her gaze

“Eh? Waeandwaeyo?” Freia asked making all of chuckle

“It isn’t time for us to engage in a relationship, Freia.” Jess replied

At first, Freia seemed to look like she was about to say something but when she looked at Jess she pouted.

“What’s his name then?” she asked obviously still not letting go of the topic

“Ask him yourself.” Jess said so Freia looked at Ethan from the screen

“Hello, nii-san! What’s your name?” she asked smiled

“Delta Ethan Gonzales, assigned body guard of Ms. Chelsea Lim.” Ethan said while scratching the back of his head

“Bodyguard? But they can defeat the bad guys themselves.” Freia seemed confused

“Summer Freia.” Winter warned Freia, the latter seemed to contradict but then she nodded her head before beaming a smile again.

“Mnemosyne’s growing big but my Ryu is bigger! I want them to get married an have 13 cubs.” Freia said while looking at Mnemosyne

“13 cubs?” I asked her unsure

“Yes. One for Jess-chan,  for Irene-chan,  for Chelsea-chan, one for Autumn, one for Spring, one for Aqualyn, one for Nii-sama, one for nii-san, one for Winter-chan, one for Mia-chan too!” she beamed

“Isn’t thirteen too much?” Chelsea asked

“A-ni. It might also not be enough for everyone’s children. I want your future kids to play with them too.” she said

“That’s too early to think of.” Jess said and Freia nodded before shaking her head

Huh? I didn’t get her reply.

“I miss all of you. When will you visit?” She asked and we laughed because she was already hugging Winter’s arm

“Let go, Freia.” Winter chastised coldly making Freia pout more

“Irene-chan, Jess-chan, Chelsea-chan.”  Shecalled us while pouting

“Yes, Freia?” I replied

“Please don’t let my onee-chan get cold too, huh? Nii-sama, nii-chan, and Winter-chan are already walking ice blocks.” she requested making us chuckled

“Hai! Hai!” we replied and she smiled more making her eyes disappear

She’s so cute.

“Oke! Sayonara!” she said and waved her hand

“Sayonara, hime.” We replied then hanged up

Biglang lumapit na yung maid at ipinatong sa lamesa yung juice at sushi. Yung gatas nakalagay sa isang maliit na bowl, probably para kay Mnemosyne yung gatas.

“Here girl.” Sabi ni Chelsea at sinubuan ng sushi gamit ang wooden chopsticks si Mnemosyne.

“Pwede ba siya niyan?” tanong ni Ethan

“Yes. Ito yung pinapakain nina Lavalee kay Mnemosyne.” Sabi ni Chelsea
