Seven years ago…

YES!!! napapasigaw siya habang nanonood ng PBA play-offs, naka shoot ng three points yung super crush na PBA player niya na nagpapanalo sa team nila. It was no other than No. 14 of SMARThunders, Terrence Miguel Corpuz. He is a rookie player and yet he was already taking in a lot of attention from the fans. Well she can’t really blame them, who wouldn't go crazy over the guy, he was 6’2 feet tall, has chinito brown eyes, sexy curved lips, pointed nose, tan glazed skin complexion, and a very muscled lean body, everything about him is just so dreamy not to mention that he is very athletic and a good shot.

Di niya mapigilan ang sarili na kiligin. Her room is full of his pictures and posters all over. She was a hopeless case and she knows it. She was a senior taking up Bachelor of Science in Social Work in a public school. She was not really a fan of basketball but when she saw Terrence in an interview, she began to take interest and has constantly followed him in the social media, yes she was a stalker, thank God for social media and technology. It was the first time that she felt an intense feeling for an idol, she wasn't much of the fanatic type but this time she felt really giddy over a star. Yes, for her, he was a Star. A star out of reach for ordinary people like her.

PIA’s POV

She was startled when her chair was pulled by Cass, kaya naman nanumbalik ang consciousness niya sa kasalukuyan “Pia, have you heard the news? Mag reretire na daw si Sir Sam, and someone would replace him immediately next month. So that means, we will be under a new management.”pabulong na sabi sa kanya ni Cass.

Sir Sam was the one who hired her in the company five years ago. Their boss was definitely one of the best, walang ere, parang hindi ito may-ari ng kompanya kung umasta, almost all of them were treated like a family, kaya naman lahat sila masaya sa kanilang work place. He was humble, considerate, and patient. Napakabait lalo na dun sa mga utility nila. Isa ang matanda sa dahilan kaya nagtatagal siya sa company na yun, she has learned so much from him. Isa siya sa mga may mataas na posisyon sa company even at her young age. Although it was hard at first to prove her worth but eventually she was able to earn their trust and confidence. Sabi pa nga ng Boss nila when she took the courage to ask him why he chose her for that position, nakikitaan daw siya nito ng potential, at naniniwala ito sa kakayahan niya. Kaya naman pinagbutihan niya ng maayos ang kanyang trabaho at di minsan naging pabaya.

“Are you sure? pagkokompirma niya. We just had our meeting yesterday at hindi naman namin napag usapan ang bagay na ito.”confused na wika niya.

“That is what I heard from Peachie, nasa office kasi nila ako kanina”, sabi nito sa mahinang boses.

“Eh dapat sana diba nagpatawag na agad ng meeting?”nagtatakang tanong niya. She was still stuck on the thought when her phone beeped. A message from her friends. They were supposed to have dinner and go out for the night since they were in the city. The usual, kinukulit nanaman siya na ilibre ang mga ito. Since she also missed them so much, she agreed to meet them at 7pm. She checked her watch for the time, nagulat siya na 6:30 na pala kaya mabilis pa sa alas kuwatrong nagligpit siya ng mga gamit.

“Cass, i need to go, I’ll see you next week”, niyakap niya ito at tumalikod na siya at dali-daling umalis.

TERRENCE POV

He can’t help but stare at the girl who caught his attention. He was on his way down when he stopped on his tracks when he saw her. Nakaupo ang babae sa swivel chair nito, she seemed to be in deep thoughts, in fact nakakunot pa ang noo nito habang kinukutkot ang hintuturo sa kanang daliri nito, it was a total turn-off for him pero hindi yun ang dahilan kung bakit siya napatigil, the girl looked familiar but he can’t remember where he met her. She looks like she is in her mid 20’s, she has a long black wavy hair, chinky eyes, cute nose kasi sobrang liit pero hindi naman ito pango, nakikita pa rin ang medyo nagpipilit na matangos nitong ilong. Her face is cute over-all but definitely not an extraordinary beauty. He was about to leave when he saw another girl approached her, medyo mas mukhang matanda young babaeng lumapit, they were in a serious conversation since he can see the change of expression on her face, when suddenly she stood up and run to leave.

Someone tapped his back bringing him back out of his reverie, when he turned to see who it was, it was his father. They were supposed to leave ng napatigil siya kanina ng makita niya ang babae.

“Son, are you okay?” tanong sa kanya ng kanyang ama nang nasa sasakyan na sila, dahil tila napansin nito ang kanyang pananahimik.

” Yes Dad I’m fine”, his curt response to his father.

PIA POV

Diyos ko po! Muntik na siyang ma heart attack ng makita niyang may lalaking nag-aantay sa kanya sa mesa na pina reserve ng mga kaibigan niya. She is being set-up for a blind date again. They know how much she hates those antics. Kaya hindi pa man ay lumapit na siya sa lalaki at nag apologize at dali daling lumabas na ng restaurant.

“I am going to kill you all. Nasaan kayo?!!”, she was in high spirits. She can’t believe they have pulled that trick again on her.

Si Timmy yung sumagot, “we are at the coffee shop, just try to relax first okay baka akalain ng mga tao dito nabuhay si Gabriela Silang. It’s the coffee shop across the restaurant”.

Nang pumasok siya sa coffee shop nakita niya agad ang tatlong mga haliparot na nag set-up sa kanya, her best friends since the time immemorial. Sina Timmy, Cheska, and Lily pag mabait siya, pero pag ganitong medyo negative vibes, si Timothy, Francis, at Leonardo sila.

“Talk, who planned that?” tinitigan niya any tatlo.

“Okay, okay it was me this time”,natatawang sabi ni Cheska. “That was my officemate Charles. He is actually nice but since you are already here, I’m sure you didn't bother knowing him” nakangusong turan nito.

“Hayyyy Rori when are you planning to have a love life, kung 50 ka na?” si Lily na nagbabasa ng feeds nito sa f*******:. “We are concerned, although we would love it if you remain single forever like us, but we can’t just take it” at sabay na nagtawanan ang tatlong bruha bago pa dinugtungan ni Lily and sinasabi nito. “It’s been seven long years, and since then wala na kaming narinig na may nagustuhan ka maliban dun sa in-idol mo at cmpre maliban sa mga Korean idols na kinababaliwan mo.

“Rori, gusto mo bang maging kasing dry ka namin forever”? natatawang sabi ni Timmy at nakitawa pa ang dalawang baklita.

These are her friends, for them, she is Rori, their pet name for her, while she is Pia in the office short for Sophia Romina. “Maraming salamat sa concern mga besh, but right now you know I have my priorities”, she seriously replied, which earned a look of sympathy from the three. She added “ at please lang itigil niyo na ang blind dates, naaawa na ako dun sa mga pinapa date ninyo sakin, eh d naman ako kagandahan” nakangusong turan niya habang dinudutdot ang pisngi niya .

“Well cmpre alam namin yun dahil sating tatlo kami yung nabiyayaan ng sobrang kagandahan diba Lily at Timmy?nakatikas ang kilay na sabi ni Cheska.

At yun na ang simula ng bangayan, asaran at walang humpay na tawanan nilang apat. She was thankful having them around, they knock some sense to her brain at times. Magkasama na silang apat since high school pa lang, kaya masasabi niyang kilalang kilala na nila ang isa’t-isa.
