"Atchi! Atchi!" Adeline shouted in delight as she spread her arms at me, asking me to carry her. I laughed as I abide her will.
I scooped her up and twirled her around. The sun shone at her back, her sweet smile was wide as she looked down on me. Happiness radiating from my baby's face.
"I love you, Adeline." I said as I planted a kiss on her chubby pinkish cheek.
"Yiyi?" She asked, her little fingers were playing with my mouth.
I laughed and said, "really."
"Then.." She said, her smile fading. She was looking at me with no emotion at all. "Why did you kill me?"
I stopped moving, looking at her with my eyes wide open. I started to shake my head from side to side denying her accusation. My fingers began to tremble. "No. I didn't kill you. I love you, Adeline."
