Riven sent me home after what happened at the club. Gabing-gabi na pero ‘di ko namalayan iyon. It was… it was a night, to say the least. Riven and I, and Arthur and Samantha? It was a lot to process.
I woke up the next morning to a call from my Mommy. Pipikit-pikit pa ako at masakit ang ulo nang sagutin ko ang tawag, hindi na sinilip pa ang caller ID at basta sinagot na lang. “Hello..?”
“After five missed calls, you picked up. Where are you, Hennessy?”
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa boses ni Mommy. Her voice was enough to wake my senses up. Napatayo agad ako at nagsuot ng robe. “M-Mommy!”
I heard her disappointed sigh in the other line with Daddy telling her to calm down. Alam ko nang pagagalitan niya ako kaya hinanda ko na ang sarili ko.
“Mommy… n-napatawag po kayo?”
“Why not.”
