Samara POV

"Good afternoon student's, I have the result of the exams and would like to congratulate you all for doing a great job, all of you passed and exceed in my subject but most especially Ms. Don for scoring 110% of the exam score" anuncyo ng aking guro pag pasok pa lang nito sa silid, I wasn't surprised at all, bata pa lang ako ay nabiyayaan na ako ng aking katalinunan, my dad said that I was a genius.

"know it all" malakas na comento ng isa kong kamag aral, tamang tama lang para marinig ko. I got pick on a lot because of my gifts, hindi ko sila masisi, people get threatened when they feel that someone is more superior than them, it's in their nature. Words doesn't bother me naman so I just ignore them.

Hindi nag tagal ay nag simula na ang aming klase, I wasn't really paying attention to the class, bakit pa kung alam ko na rin naman ang tinuturo nito, I was just looking outside the window, observing the branches of the Molave tree outside, when something caught my eyes. It was a little scarlet bird with black wings and a yellow beak. Napakunot ang nuo ko, I never saw that kind of bird here in this place its eyes are almost looking in my direction it was beautiful and enchanting.

Nawala ang atensyon ko sa ibon ng maramdaman kong may mahinang dumapo sa mahaba kong buhok. When I touch it I felt the stickiness off the chewing gum on it, lumingon ako sa likod ko at nakita ko ang dalawa kong kamag aral na si Maricar at Pauline na nag tatawanan.

I know it was them, ever since I transfer here they treated me like a trash, they always do something teribble to me, tinitiis ko lang dahil pangatlong paaralan ko na ito ngayong taon, Father will kill me kung hindi ko ayusin dito.

I raised my hand and excuse myself, I need to get rid of this gum. Pumasok ako sa girls comfort room at sinimulan tangalin ito ng malamig na tubig. I was getting frustrated when I heard the door opened, I saw Maricar and Pauline came inside the girl's comfort room, grinning and holding a scissor.

"you got to be kidding me," I said to myself.

"I think you need this Samara." Maricar said and raised her hand with the scissor.

"No thank you," I said between my teeth, I'm losing my patience, and they won't like it when I'm mad.

"Come on Sam, I'm sure you need our help" Pauline said and grabbed my arms. Pilit nya akong idikit sa pader ngunit nag pumiglas ako.

"Stay still, we're just going to make you more beautiful" pang aasar pang sabi ni Maricar.

"Let go off me" Pag pupumiglas kong sabi

"Sabi ng wag kang malikot e" Maricar said ang s***h my cheek using the scissor. I felt the warm blood run down my cheek. I couldn't take it anymore, I squeeze my fist in anger and grab my arms from Paulines grip. I pushed them both away and punch Maricar's face, na pa higa ito sa malamig na sahig ng banyo, she glared at me when she felt the blood on her lips, but I wasn't done my patient just run out, dinaganan ko ito at sinimulang suntukin ang kanyang mukha. Nag dilim na ang paningin ko, I can only move my hands and just punch her, hindi ko na pansin na inaawat na pala ako ng dalawang security guard.

I found my senses when I felt hot blood on my fist, I cursed myself when I realize that I went too far. That's when I saw Maricar's face full of blood and unconscious her arms was smoking and burned like it was set on fire. I look around us and saw a lot of students surrounding the girl's comfort room. They look frightened and the thing that I'm scared of is that they all look frightened to me.

It's already almost an hour since the incident, the nurse already took care of my cheek, mahapti ito but I could care less. I'm in waiting area outside the Principal's office, Maricar's already in the hospital, wala akong balita rito kung kamusta na ba ang kalagayan nito. I just sigh, this isn't the first time I hurt someone but this is the first time I almost killed someone. I don't know what happen to me, bigla na lang nag dilim ang paningin ko, it's like my fist has it's own mind.

"Sam," I heard a familiar voice called me, when I looked up I saw my father and my stepmother ran towards me. "What the hell happen?" my father asked. I just looked down and did not answer. "For God's sake Samara, answer me" he angrily grabs me by my shoulders and shakes me. He release me when the principal called us inside her office.

When we walk inside I was expecting Maricar's parents but instead, an old bearded man greets us with a genuine smile, he was wearing a long black coat and a hat, his hair is grayish and long but just above his shoulder. I stared into his eyes when I notice his pupils have different colors, one is gray and the other one is brown, it looks enchanting. He stood up and gave his hand to my father then he approach me, he stared at me for a sec like he was memorizing my face before he speaks.

"You must be Samara?" He asked and gave me his hand which I did take. Tumango ako sa tanong nito.

"Mr. and Mrs. Don this is Headmaster Echethier, headmaster of Lunar Academy, he's here to speak to you regarding your daughter"

"Is my daughter expelled?" my father asked my principal. Headmaster Echethier and principal Cho looked at each other seriously

"Mr. Don are you aware of the elements?" headmaster Echethier asked, my father, did not answer. " You do know that your daughter poses one, right?" I didn't know what he was talking about.

"What does he mean dad?" I asked but he didn't answer, everyone looks like they know what's going on except me and my stepmom.

"It's time Mr. Don, no more running," Headmaster said. "I'll give you until dawn to sort things and tell her everything" he added while walking towards the door. "And Simon, if you run again you know what will happen"

We arrive home shortly after, my father drove fast like he was chase by someone. Nag madali itong pumasok sa loob ng bahay sinundan ko ito para itanong kung anong nangyayari ngunit inutusan lang akong mag impake nito.

"What's happening Simon?" Nag aalalang tanong naman ng stepmother ko, like me she is clueless. My father didn't answer instead he walk towards our bookshelf and pull a book, inabot nya ito saakin. It was the book of the Elemental people, my favorite book when I was younger.

"Take this, I can't explain everything because Mary is here," he told me and glance at my stepmother. "Everything you read here is real and you are one of them," He said while caressing my face. He stared at me lovingly.

I have so many questions but I respect his decision to keep it a secret from my stepmom. If I remember it correctly mortals are not supposed to know about the Elemental people, but if my stepmom is mortal does it means my dad is-

My thought was cut when a loud bang echo our house. We ran down to see where the bang came from, I was surprised when I saw the place, it was filled with thick dust and we can barely see anything.

I look around and passed by our living room, "There's no one here," my thoughts. I looked back and thought that my father and my stepmother will be there but I was alone, I ran back upstairs to check if they were there but there's no one. I check all of the rooms but I couldn't find anyone not even a single soul.

Bumaba ako olet para icheck ang kaisaisang silid na hindi ko pa nasususri. I went inside the kitchen to check, it was dark but I can still see a figure, I thought it was my father hindi pa man rin ako nakaka lapit ay lumingon ito, then I realize IT wasn't my father, it wasn't human at all it looks like some kind of a dog or a wolf but it was standing upwards just like humans, its eyes were all white and the most terrifying thing is its wide mouth and sharp teeth.

"Alzalam" the only word it mutters, hindi ko naintindihan ang ibigsabihin nito. I don't even know if it's capable of muttering word. I froze when I heard it growls and slowly walks towards me. "Ant almukhtar." it speaks again but this time its more aggressive. I couldn't move its like my energy is draining. 

My vision becomes blurry slowly I felt my body on the cold floor and before I passed out I see a light coming from behind the mysterious creature and heard it scream horribly.

there it is again the song I hear almost every night in my dreams, but this time it was a different voice.

"His hair it hangs in ringlets, his eyes as black as coal, My happiness attend him wherever he may go, From Tower Hill to Blackwall, I'll wander, weep and moan, All for my jolly sailor, until he sails home. My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold, There is nothing can console me, But my jolly sailor bold." The voice is softer rather than ere like I usually hear. I slowly open my eyes when I realize the voice I hear wasn't in my dream.

My eyes roam around an unfamiliar place, I was in a room full of branches. The bed frame was made of off wood, the ceiling is painted like the sky and the room is filed with plants and trees.

I got up in bed and walk around, I saw a stair and went down it, "This is why people die in horror movies,"  I can still hear someone humming, when I reach the last step I saw a girl wearing some kind of uniform and writing something on a desk, her hair was blond and short with natural curls to it, I can't see her fully for I was behind her. She stopped humming when she noticed me, nilapitan nya ako agad at dun ko nasuri ang kabuoan nito, she has light blue eyes and pale complexion, her face is filled with freckles but it doesn't hide her cuteness. She's also shorter than me, but I'm sure she's the same age as me.

"Thank Enchantress you're awake! We're all worried, that night caller almost took all of your nature," She said, I looked at her cluelessly I have no idea what she's talking about, and where am I exactly?

"Who are you?" I asked curiously.

"I'm Vanadey Gimemour you can call me Vana, I'm your roommate," She said cheerfully. Lumapit ito sakin para hawakan ang kamay ko but I step back, I notice her eye changed colors from light blue to forest green.

"Roommate, where exactly are we?" I asked again but now I sounded more anxious, I slowly remember what happen that night and felt nervous, "What's going on?"

"We're in Lunar Academy," She said with a worried look.

Lunar Academy is there such a thing in my town.

"You are in Ethereal Isles the land of Etheral" She added. I look out the window and saw a place beyond imaginable, a place where we can only read in books and watch in movies, a world of elements.
