I got up from the sofa and headed to the bathroom to clean myself up. I stood in the hot shower for a long time contemplating my plan and all of its possible outcomes. After drying off, I stood in front of the steamed-up mirror and wiped it clean, and looked at my reflection. I narrowed my eyes, my nostrils flared, I braced myself up and psyched myself up.
