A New Beginning

" What are these?" Cain ask Leviathan that place a pile of papers on his desk

" These are important papers need to be signed off, others need to be read. Morgiana also said that you should study more" Leviathan reply

" My life is... My life is shattered... I once piled dead bodies but now I was piled by papers and books. Where is my wife? " he asks

" She is outside the palace managing her cafe. She said that she'll be back before lunch" Leviathan reply

" Tch! She only knows how to put stuff in her mouth. Why she's not helping me? She's the queen and yet she just leisurely enjoys herself inside her cafe... Should I burn down that cafe?" Cain rumbles

Leviathan sighs and said, " My King I think it's not a good idea to burn down the cafe, she will know about it, and if she knows I am sure that she will hate you. Another thing my king as if you forget... you're the one that said that she can do whatever she wants"

Cain glares at Leviathan that avoids his gaze.

" Still she should help me after reclaiming our territory there are duties we must attend to," Cain said to Leviathan

" Should I fetch her? You two are very busy these days. You two only meet during lunch and dinner" Leviathan suggests

" That's true... Every night when I go to our room she's asleep. Sleeping like a log, fetch her now say that I am not feeling well" he grumbles

" As you wish" Leviathan go and went to Ghenica's cafe

" Welcome to Monica Cafe" Ghenica's greetings and was shocked for it was Leviathan

" Lady," he said

" Why are you here? You're off to work?" Ghenica ask

" No, but his majesty is feeling unwell," he replied

" Unwell why? when? I didn't know " Ghenica ask again

" I don't know why or when my lady but, I think you are not spending time with my king that you didn't even know how unwell he is. You barely see each other for the past three weeks," Leviathan answer

" Ok, I will tell Lana that I will the cafe in her care" she reply and went straight to the castle and look for Cain inside his office.

Ghenica found Cain at his working table, reading papers. She walks towards him and felt his forehead.

" You don't have a fever, why are you feeling unwell?" Ghenica ask with caring eyes and a soft voice

Cain grabs Ghenica and sit her on his lap and hug her from behind.

" You're always busy and don't have time for me. You don't want me anymore?" Cain ask in a pitiful voice

" You're also busy so don't say something outrageous" she replied

" Because you didn't help me. If you are a loving wife you should never leave me every morning, help me with our supposed to be duties so that we can sleep together" Cain complaints

" You're the one who said I can do whatever I want. Father Cobra still is the best he never make things harder for me, he treats me very well" she protests

" Then you should not accept my marriage proposal" Cain whispers and let go of Ghenica

" What?" Ghenica ask

Cain stands up and pushes a little Ghenica, he didn't answer her and leave the room.

" What? ( Is he out of his mind? What does he want? Why did he say that? He's being grumpy out of nowhere) " Ghenica thought finding herself speechless

During lunch she ate by herself and when she ask Leviathan,

" Where is Cain?" she asks

" I don't know, I look for him inside his office and your room but he was not there" he replied

" He seems not in the mood and being grumpy all of a sudden" Ghenica said

" I think it's my lady's fault, my king is lonely not having you by his said. He is working day and night which he never does, he also said that you left early in the morning and sleep early too. I think he thought that you don't need him" Leviathan explains

Ghenica was put off on silent and think her actions. She then realizes that she's wrong. Ghenica left her food and looks for Cain and as soon as she can't find him Ghenica uses the phone to locate his position by tracking him. She follows the path and found herself outside a room, the room where Ghenica stores her forged materials. She slowly opens the door and found Cain sleeping on the sofa holding his phone. Ghenica quietly gets near to him and looks at his phone and there was a note.

I'm lonely because my wife didn't love me anymore

" What is this note? You are childish" Ghenica mumble

She pinches and pulls Cain's cheeks to wake him up. Cain woke up and sit up and found Ghenica grinning at him.

" So you are lonely" Ghenica teases him

" I'm not" Cain objections

" Then why are you here, this is where I always do forging," she said

" I was looking for another weapon" he answers avoiding Ghenica's gaze

Ghenica sit beside him show the phone to Cain and said, " Then why are you holding unto this? This is the first thing I gave to you"

" I was holding to it.....just that...nothing more" he replied

Ghenica cling to his arms and said, " I'm lonely because my wife didn't love me anymore"

" Don't read the personal note, tch!" Cain reply and tries to stand to leave Ghenica but was pulled by her

" Sorry" Ghenica whispers

" What did you say? Why are you saying sorry?" Cain ask

" Because I neglect my duty as the queen especially my responsibility as your wife. I am sorry if I make you lonely. I will try my best to make you less lonely so don't get mad at me" Ghenica reply with a soft voice

" Then prove it," Cain said

" How?" Ghenica ask

" My body is lonely, I want a hug," Cain said to Ghenica

Ghenica immediately hugs Cain and he hugs her back.

" My mouth is lonely too, I want..." Cain said but didn't finish his word when Ghenica kiss him

" Not lonely anymore?" Ghenica ask

" I want a little bit more" Cain reply

The next day, Ghenica didn't leave the palace and a letter arrived.

" My king a letter arrived" Leviathan report to Cain that is reading some papers with Ghenica

" Why the rush?" Cain ask Leviathan that walks fast to deliver the message

" Even when he's rushed his facial expression didn't change." Ghenica mumble

" Give me the letter" Cain ask and Leviathan gave it to him but, without even knowing what is written Cain surprised face is shown

" Why the face? Who send it? " Ghenica ask

" It's the Demon King Draco" Cain replied

" So?, What about him?" Ghenica ask again

" He's a demon king that never make a connection outside his territory...so asking for an audience to his arrival is a big question" Leviathan explain

" So what if he wants to meet us, maybe he was just curious," Ghenica said

" No, he is one of the strongest demon king alive so if he wants for us to be his audience...it means a problem will arise on our part" Cain explains to Ghenica

On the day of the Demon, King Draco arrive, Cain was nervous and his guard is up. The demon went straight to his office where he and Ghenica wait for Demon King Draco's arrival.

" My King the visitor has arrived" Leviathan announce outside the office doors

" Come in" Cain reply

" It's a pleasure to meet you Demon King Cain of the demons and humans." Draco greetings

He has red long hair and eyes, a scar on his left forehead down to his left eye, and another one on his right cheek up to his left, he has a big sturdy body and has a big deep voice.

" It's my pleasure seeing a great Demon King in our palace. This is my lovely wife Ghenica" Cain replied

" Greetings," Ghenica said

" Let's sit down, I prepared a tea for you," Cain said and they all sit down

" So she was a lucky charm, Demon King Cobra and Arius did all their effort to keep her safe...but, knowing what she can do other Demon King's will want her," Demon King Draco said when Ghenica immediately said

" And so are you. I know that my Father and Godfather ask for other demon's approval that they will not lay or lift a finger on me for a year."

Draco grin and said, " so you know already and like what you said I am interested"

" I object, I will never hand you my wife" Cain protests in a high loud voice

" Calm down, I am just proposing something to you and your wife. I am not going to take her away from you so you should stop glaring" Demon King Draco explanation

" Let's hear him out" Ghenica propose though Cain wants to say no so he just sulks and pouts his mouth

Draco who is seeing how Cain reacts amuses him and grins while looking at them.

" It's a bad habit staring at others Demon King Draco," Ghenica said and smile at Draco

" So what is your proposal" Cain ask

" The lady can make different things out of raw materials which is why I want to have an alliance with you. Even I was known for being one of the greatest it doesn't mean I don't have a weakness." Draco tells them

" Why you want an alliance? Do you want Ghenica to share her ability with your country?" Cain ask another question

" Yes, because Oregon is falling. Trees and plants never grow on land, water from the spring, river, and falls is in drought, animals died so we are. I want you to help us, help me and my people in return whoever Demon Kings tries to harm you I in my name will help you." Draco added

Cain and Ghenica listens very well to Draco and it seems that he is not lying but,

" I understand but, I will only ally with you after I and my wife saw if what you said are true." Demon King Cain replies to Demon King Draco that seems satisfied.

Demon King Draco immediately leave after their conversation and tells them that they will see each other in Oregon.

" What do you think?" Ghenica ask

" He seems telling the truth" Cain reply

" Cause he tells the truth, this bracelet made of gold with a dove is given to me by Morgie... She gave this to me so that I can tell if someone tells me the truth" Ghenica said

" Then when I said I love you... You must be happy because it was not a lie" Cain ask

" No I can't tell, Morgie said that we don't need this in our relationship so it will only take effect on others" Ghenica reply

" Good, good" Cain mumble while grinning

" Don't you dare lie to me or I will hate you" Ghenica said to him crossing her arms

" How can I, hm?" he said

" Tch, "

" Going back to the issue are we helping him?" Cain ask

" Why not, like what my Godfather said my ability is known in a different territory and kingdom so many will try to grab this kind of ability. Another alliance will be a help to us we can't waste this opportunity" Ghenica explains

" The problem is how his kingdom become like that. His kingdom is rich in life that's why he secluded his territory, he also avoids conflicts and war. Is he that desperate that he ask help?" Cain said while thinking

" Then he is a good King and a good leader for he is willing to bow his head to those who are lower than him. Let's see what we can help besides I know for sure that you want to go outside than staying in your office with piled papers" Ghenica said to Cain while poking his cheeks

" That's right, I can be free again...so who should we pass these papers?" Cain ask

" Hehehe, I know someone... Don't worry about it" Ghenica replied while grinning
