I had to let go of his arm when he walked towards Princess Niriana. I stood there with my body frozen in shock. I watched as my world crashed down to my feet. My heart was racing painfully, and the stabbing pain of betrayal was eating me raw. I helplessly watched two people find their destined soulmate. Imagining Erdy looking at her with so much passion was enough to make me wish for death.
I only stared at Erdy's back, which is a few feet away from me now. Then I turned to look at Princess Niriana, who looks so ecstatic at this moment. Like the world didn't matter anymore since all she could see was the most important person in her life.
