I quickly looked at Abby to confirm my suspicions were right, so I approached her with flushed cheeks, clearly angry, and brought the phone to my ear to hear what the man on the other end had to say.
"Mr. Lancaster. I hope your sudden call is to inform me that you have already signed the divorce papers?” I asked coldly, trying to remain strong, although my hand was beginning to tremble slightly. Abby noticed and placed her hand on my back to give me support and calm my nerves.
