Chapter 8

MAYUMI had a good time spending her free days without tapings or shootings. She can breathe freely, she can sleep till what time she wants. She also hangout herself. She wants to paid off all of her hard works.

She's now in the mall when Bunny texted her. She open the message and raised her eyebrows when she reads the message.

"Oh, sh*t! How come? Argh, I never thought of being with her again. That stupid!" She muttered after all. She will be having another telenovelas together with Briana, her greatest enemy.

She paid all her bill and immediately go home. She's been annoyed when she knew about it. She wants to talked with Bunny.

She put her groceries and things to the back compartment of her car. She drove home immediately.

She calls Bunny while she's in her way home. " Bunny, see you in my house later, we need to talked." She end the calls as soon as possible. She quicken the car to easily arrived her home.

She arrives her home. She put her things all up. She also cleaned her mess and scattered things. She's not having time in cleaning her house because she was busy in sleeping and doing nonsense things.

Bunny just arrived and knocked her door. She immediately open it. " Bunny please have a seat. I need to know all, why is this a sudden that were going to be in same sets of shooting Bunny? Who recommended us? I don't think I want to do this project," she's annoyed and embarrassed.

Bunny threws some air before he talked. " Well, sir Kalel wanted it. He's the one who suggested the two of you."

Her eyes widened for a little shock. She raised her eyebrows again and thinks something. " Hmm. He really wants to annoyed me, he's stupid. If he will make us to quarrelled again, then I'll give him a play." She smiles devilishly.

Bunny furrowed his eyebrows. "Hey, what are you thinking of? Stop it! Hmm. You're an actress and not a killer or a demoness."

She slightly laugh at what Bunny had said. "I am not like that, I'm an angel in disguise. I'm just joking. By the way, when is the start of the shoot?" She asks without any emotions.

Bunny wondered a lot, earlier she's deeply angry but now she's calm that nothing had happened. Bunny couldn't think of deep reason why Mayumi reacts like crazy fool actress.

"What are you staring at me Bunny? You don't believe me? I will accept that project, I will not let Briana bring me down. I will fight her, I am pretty sure that you will be at my back when time I need some help, right?"

" Sure. By the way they don't announced it yet. But we should wait for the exact date. Tomorrow you will have a conference meeting. This conference will be air in the television as a project signing together with your co-actors."

"Okay. So, what's the genre of this telenovela? I'm bored with spice of life and lots of quarrelled scence. I want new, like action-romance or action comedy. Or something new. Im tired of grabbing Brianna's hair and slapping her damn face."

" So far, now I don't know yet. Only I knew is you will have a new project together with Brianna." It laughs. " If your tired of slapping her, now you can kicked her ass."

"Your so harsh Bunny. By the way I bought a lots of groceries and I shop, I think I will cook some foods. Please stay, then we will eat our lunch together."

" Sure. I will be there. I missed this. We are not so busy this days. We can also breathe some fresh air. I can also find some handsome men." It sat in the sofa while crossing his legs. Arms in the couch.

" What? Are you crazy, just save your money for better purposes and not for men, they are just thieves who will stole your money. They will not going to stay once you have no money." She also bleeh at him.

" Just, wait. I'll cook first."

Bunny nodded. He is playing in his phone. He received a text message. He reads it. It is about their upcoming telenovelas. It will be shooted in Friday, two days after their conference.

"Finally, I'm done," Mayumi said while putting the foods on the table. It's smelled and looks delicious. She is also good in cooking. "Bunny come here, let it. I'm hungry." She called him. It immediately approach the table...

"Wow, it's yummy! I miss this. Maybe next time we can have our time like this to bond together. By the way, when will you go back in Verde Island? Next time, I go with you there. I want some vacation to relaxed my dumsel beautiful." She impasize his feeling of being beautiful. Gays are really feeler and crazy.

Mayumi couldn't herself keep not to laugh at Bunny.

"Baliw, okay I will go together with you. Sana girlfriend na ang kasama mong pumunta doon at hindi boyfriend," Mayumi teases her.

They both laughed. They are happy together. They are teasing with each other. They talked about boyfriends that they never had.

After eating, Bunny immediately went to Ayala entertainment to clarify something. He also meet Pushy, they had also got quarrelled a little bit. They are also enemies. They are also cats and dogs that would bite each other anytime.

After cleaning the house, and washing the dishes Mayumi calls Michelle. She wants to knew if Michelle already have the permit. It is the one they ask for in the City Mayor in Batangas.

If Michelle will be given the permit to operate then, the construction of high school classroom will be started as soon as possible.

It finally rang. " Hello Yumi? How are you? Why you called me?"

"I miss you Michelle. I called you to ask if you had the permit?"

" Yes, I already have it. The mayor just give it to me yesterday. He also promised to help this project. Nothing to worry anymore, Yumi. I'm excited to see the finished buildings."

" Wow, congratulations if it's true . Tomorrow I'll be sending some money in your account. Also I will tell Dad about this so he can also provide some materials needed."

" Thank you so much Yumi. I love you. Okay, I can't talked to you longer, I have my next classes. I'm sorry for now. I will call you on Saturday again. Bye."

" It's okay. Just take care. I love too my friend, bye.. take care too."

She hang up the calls. She smiles even better upon hearing those good news.

It's Wednesday morning, Mayumi wakes up at 7:00 am in the morning when she received Bunny's calls. She first misses three calls before she heard him calling.

"Why you called me? I'm still sleeping. Call me later," she said while frowning.

" Hey, did you forget? Today is your conference in Ayala Entertainment, hurry up. The conference will start at 8:00 am."

She was surprised. She really forget her conference. She quickly headed in the bathroom and quickly took a bath. She take a bath for only three minutes and then find some daring clothes to wear.

"Aist, what should I wear?" She all gather her clothes. "I already used all these. I should dumped all of these later, after ten minutes of searching. She finally saw a peach-colored backless dress. She tried it and luckily it fitted her. She wear it.

She look at her watch again. She's in a hurry when she saw she only has thirty minutes to go. "Argh. I'm fool, why did I forget." She said while putting some make up. She only out a little make up then immediately get outside. She quickly drive her car headed to Ayala Entertainment.

She's in her way when she caught up by traffic. "Argh. How unlucky day." She even punched her arms at her car seat.

Her phone rang again. Bunny was calling. "Yumi where are you? The conference is about to start, it's only fifthteen minutes. Please hurry up." She end the call without any words. She's too upset. She got out from her car.

She find some motorcycle to ride on, to catch-up the conference. She finally found, she ride in it and headed at the venue.

Humahangos na bumaba si Mayumi mula sa sinakyang motor. Tinawagan na lang niya ang kanyang kakilala na kunin ang sasakyan niya sa daan.

"Yumi where are you? It is 8:00 in the morning. Aist!" Bunny muttered as he is searching his eyes from somewhere.

Brianna and Pushy just got inside the conference. They are raising their eyebrows with him.

He rolled his eyes at them. They are approaching with him. " Well, why are you like a geraffe who's looking for someone who hasn't come yet, Bunny? Is Mayumi wouldn't come? How poor thing," she said then flip her hair as she walked towards the center.

Kalel also goes in front. He already handed the microphone to announce and introduce the cast of the drama.

Bunny can't think and sit properly. He's worried about Mayumi.

"Please welcome our new faces in this new drama. Please give them around of applause."

Isa-isang pumagitna ang mga batikang artista na magkakasama ni Mayumi pero wala pa rin siya.

NAKARATING na siya sa building pero bakit hanggang ngayon hindi pa siya nakakapasok.

"Where is Mayumi Collins?" taming ni Kalel habang hinahagilap siya kung saan.

Tumawa si Briana. Natutuwa itong wala si Mayumi.

Suddenly, the door opens. All of the eyes were threws at woman who's bombastically marching towards them. It was Mayumi. She takes longer to get inside because she fixed herself.

Her hair was being rambled by air when she ride a motorcycle.

She smiles sweetly as she march in front. Many clapped their hands to her. "I'm sorry for being late, I've just caught by heavy traffic," she said while looking at Brianna. Briana has a mad face when she saw her. She doesn't care how she's feeling towards her.

Kalel also stared at her ups and downs. He is investigating her looks. She doesn't care too, she just smiles teasingly.

After they are introduce, they take some pictures.

Mayumi quickly approached Bunny who is quite setting I the chair. She thinks it is upset for what she did. "Bunny, Im sorry for making you worry a lot. I really forget this conference."

It shook his head. " It's okay. Im so worried about you, I think you got an accident." Bunny's tears fall.

" Don't cry I'm fine. By the way I'm going to get my car first. I will go first." Mayumi said and went outside the building.

She's in parking area when Kalel approach her, it is insultingly staring at her. " How cheap Mayumi. Why are you late from the conference? You think being caught in the heavy traffic is an excuse?"

She face it. She also raised her eyebrows. " Non of your business. Why would ask? I don't have enough time to talk with you Mr. Arrogant..." She stressed then started to walk out.

He grabbed her arms forcefully making her to sub at his chest accidentally. They remained in the may position for a few moments. They felt that everything around then just stop.

Mayumi first to give space and then walked away. Kalel was being left jaw-dropping.

He can't think we'll, maybe his brain and nerves were paralyzed.

Mayumi went home unthinkable. She's so upset at Kalel. "Argh, why he is always making me upset and feel irritated like this," she went to the kitchen to get some cold water to drink. She wants to release her anger. It's not good, it will ruined her skin and it will make her looks older.

She sat the chair and drank the cooled water. She also remember to call Jef, to know some updates about her mother's murder...
