I GLANCED AT Fern when she took out her card. I was expecting her to pay for all of these. Hindi naman na ako umaasa na ang magbabayad nito ay ang kapatid niya, syempre siya. I went to her and slowly wrapped my arms around her waist. The cashier glanced at me and smiled shyly.
“I’ll pay,” I uttered and handed my card. Tinignan ako ni Fern at tatanggi pa sana, kung hindi lang kinuha ng babae ang card ko at iyun ang ginawa.
“Thank you, Kuya Garreth!” Mika happily said near us.
Hindi ako umimik at hinalikan lang sa ulo si Fern.
“Are you hungry?” I whispered to her, but she looked at Mika and asked the same question I asked her.
