“Let’s go,” sabi ko at nagpatuloy na sa pagtahak ng daan papunta sa tuktok ng bundok. “I need to see that kid.”
“Huh?” Sinabayan ako ni Xan ng paglalakad. “Why?”
“Xan,” Hinarap ko siya. “That kid is all alone in this place right after she killed her beloved father. Living here all alone for thousands of years and now you are telling me to keep her like that for the rest of her life.”
“Oh come on, Hope.” Ginulo niya ang buhok. “Please tell me that you are not hoping to take her in.”
“Oh,” I shook my head. “I am not hoping. I am actually going to take her in.” Ngumiti ako at tinalikuran siya. “Well, that will depend on how she will react after seeing me.”
Nagpatuloy na kami sa paglalakad.
