Umugong ang palakpakan sa paligid noong ipakilala na siya ng host.

There are media people who they invited to cover his speech—more likely clearing up his name from the absurd rumors.

“Good evening. Welcome to the Gala for a cause.” They clapped him once again at tinignan ni Alejandro isa isa ang tao sa paligid.

This people that loves you when it is your time—the moment you are shining but the moment when you fall at the ground they will barely spare you a glance.

“My mother founded this orphanage even before my father became a politician. She always had this great love to the children—children who are unfortunate by this evil world. Children that are unlucky to be burn in this kind of society.

My late mother decided to build couple of orphanage not just here sa Mirasol but even in Csilla, Manila, Davao and different parts of the Philippines. At hindi na kataka-taka na na-adopt ko ang ugaling iyon and I couldn’t even deny that I love them so much too.

Those precious little beans that has nothing to do with the world yet they were abandoned. This orphanage is so important to me because this is will always be the treasure that my mother has given to me.

Treasure that I will always keep. For the future of those children and for the memories of my mother.

And with regard to that I would like to address those absurd rumors that has coming lately—hindi ko alam kung saan nang galing iyon but I profusely deny it.” He’s going back and forth and when he deny those allegation he stopped in the middle of the stage. He saw that the medias are taking audio, video and pictures. He saw those actors and actresses not paying mind—well of course they just went here for recognition.

“I am giving my full condolences to my secretary who has always been a good secretary. Kahit pa sa administrasyon ng aking Ama ay ipinakita niya ang kanyang kakayahan sa trabaho. I am grieving for weeks already. And I will always remember her. She is almost like my family, she became a mentor when I started and she trusted me to be her daughter’s godfather recently lang eto bininyagan. It is also painful to me— t-to lost her—personally. That is why those rumors are absurd—can’t I just love little children just how you adore your nieces and nephews?”

The media and the people have been silent all the time Alejandro was giving a speech. It became a short speech as he saw Peter signing him to finish the speech and he has something to say.

“Being silent doesn’t mean you are guilty. I think it also shows that you give your condolence to the person you greatly respect and appreciates.” Nakita niya kung paano tumango ang mga tao na tila ba nakuha nila ang punto sa sinabi niya.

He gave them a little smile and a little nod. “Enjoy the gala everyone and have a good night.”

Umugong ang palakpakan sa loob ng venue at tuluyan na ngang bumaba ng stage si Alejandro at nagtungo sa nakalaang upuan niya. Nandoon sa tabi ng upuan niya ay si Peter na nakasuot ng navy blue suit at blue rin na maskara.

Nilapitan siya nito para bumulong. “According sa attendee—”

“And will go to the most anticipated part! The bidding!”

“Samantha is here.”

Alejandro’s rage spike up. Napalingon siya kay Peter dahil hindi makapaniwala sa narinig. The world between them is getting closer and closer.

“Don’t let her go again if you want to push your plan, Alejandro.” Peter give him a nod. “But the last decision will always be yours.”

Hindi niya mapigilan ang kanyang malapad na ngiti. Parang hindi niya na kailangan ang napakagrandeng plano. Ang mundo na mismo ang naglalapit sa kanila.
