A LOUD knocked disturbed me from fixing my tie. My forehead crease with confusion. With a few step I reached the door and opened it quickly.
"Hugo?" His eyes were blank. Walang emosyon. Nakatingin lang siya sa mata ko na para bang may masamang balita itong ipinahahatid.
The sudden nervousness gripped my stomach. My jaw clenched tightly as anger built in me. My ball of fist clutched the doorknob trying to calm my blood down.
Umatras siya at pinadaan ako. Diretso akong bumaba at tumungo sa sala kung saan nandoon ang mga tauhan ko. All of them were staring at me intently.
"What happened?" I asked full of authority.
Hugo took a step towards me and he tapped my shoulder. "They.." He took a deep breathe. "..took her."
Every nerve in me fired with anger. "How?" My gaze turned to them.
