CHAPTER 3

"Good morning!"

"Nothing's good this early in the morning," he said, sarcastically.

"Oh, c'mon! You'll soon love mornings." I cupped his cheeks and I found him cute, so I laughed but he rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I don't think so."

"You'll love them!" I stubbornly said and he just nodded while eating his breakfast.

"You're my alarm clock. I didn't even set my alarm clock 'cause I knew you'd wake me up."

"Well then... Hi, Apollo Moon Gray! I'm your official human alarm clock for three months." I winked.

"But don't wake me up on weekends. I'd love to spend my mornings in my bed, peacefully sleeping, please." He stated with a sarcastic manner and I chuckled.

"Yeah, but I'll wake you up at six." I smiled.

He dropped his spoon and fork and looked at me with his tired eyes. I find him very funny! His expressions entertain me.

I laughed and stood up. "Love you! You'll love mornings soon. I swear it." I stated so loudly 'cause I went out the dining room.

"I will probably hate it!" he screamed.

I chuckled. So cute. I got his necktie and went back to the dining room. He's still eating. I woke up extra early today 'cause I need to go to school early.

I put his necktie on him and fixed it.

"You'll go now?" He asked.

"Yeah, I need to go early. I'll go to the library. We have a long, long quiz for professor long." I chuckled.

We call that prof, professor long. Because he gives quizzes and tests very very long!

"Oh, what a hell. We're probably next then."

"Yeah, you better review, young man!" I patted his shoulders. "I'll go now!"

"Take care."

"You, too!"

I got to school almost 40 minutes earlier than the time I was supposed to. I went to the library and saw Candy.

"Read chapters four to nine. Students from section AB5 and AB4 said that's where the prof focused on his test."

"We still need to read chapters one to eleven. We never know, professor long is very unpredictable! He might change the test."

"Oh, curse him." Candy said with a tired expression.

With the remaining time, Candy and I studied 'til the bell rang. I was nervous 'cause I didn't get to read chapter eleven! What the hell.

"I'm freaking nervous!" Candy shrieked.

I was about to reply but, as expected, Professor long always came ten minutes earlier than his time!

"Prepare your whole sheet of pad paper and number it from one to ninety-five."

Hayst.

All of us sighed but we all did it.

"Forty minutes... Starts... Now." He started the timer and we all focused on our quiz.

Yes, we only have forty minutes to answer this one hell of a test. Because the remaining twenty minutes were checking and announcing of scores. If your name didn't get called because it ran out of time, you're doomed.

Forty minutes passed like a blink of an eye and it was checking. I was hoping for at least 10 mistakes below but I didn't expect me to get a ninety-three!

Candy got ninety and half of the class got a line of nine type of score. I was proud. He now called names for recording of scores. I waited 'til he called me.

"Sauria, Lyanne Angel."

"93!"

"Tuarez, Candy Allithea."

"90!"

And so on and so forth.

"That was one hell of a quiz! But, see?! Told you! It was chapters four to nine!" Candy stated.

"Well, better to be safe than sorry. I also saw some items that were from chapter ten." I shrugged and drank my chocolate milk.

I'm hungry.

Three more subjects, then, yey, lunch time.

Oh, I guess it's their turn.

I texted him about what to study and to focus more on.

Karl Williams: Wanna go out?

I was surprised by that notification!

I looked at Karl and saw that he was staring at me. I smiled and typed in my answer.

Lyanne Sauria: Where to?

Karl Williams: I'll take you to one of my fave places

Lyanne Sauria: Hm? So WHERE

Karl Williams: It's a surprise ;)

Before I thought of a reply, I immediately thought of Apollo. Wait, why am I even... Oh, of course. He's my big bro.

I saw that he was online on f*******: messenger, so I just messaged him there instead of texting.

Lyanne Sauria: PSSSSSSTTT

Apollo Gray typing...

Apollo Gray: What?

I took a screen shot of the convo of me and Karl.

Lyanne Sauria: [Attached Photo] Can I go out? ^_^

Apollo Gray: No.

I frowned. Why???

Lyanne Sauria: I'll be home before five!

Apollo Gray: No. Not until he says where you two are going.

Damn. I looked at Karl and saw that he was now laughing with his friends.

Lyanne Sauria: Karl, can I please know where? My mom is asking for the location

Karl Williams: Fine, to the movies [Attached Photo] We're going to see this show if you like it

I took a screenshot of that and sent it to Apollo!

Lyanne Sauria: Looks like I won't be home before five :D

Apollo Gray: That's a boring movie.

I pouted. What a way to ruin the moment.

Apollo Gray: He chose a boring movie to make out with you throughout the whole movie, Lyanne. So, no.

Well... okay, I admit it, It looks boring as hell! And... he has a point. Why am I agreeing on this now?

Lyanne Sauria: He might be my boyfriend though...

Apollo Gray: Study first.

I smirked. He's really acting like a brother-dad right now and I find it amusingly irritating.

Lyanne Sauria: I HAVE BEEN STUDYING SINCE I WAS THREE YEARS OLD AND THIS YEAR IS NOW MY LAST YEAR OF STUDYING, SO TECHNICALLY, I HAVE BEEN STUDYING FOR 17 f*****g YEARS OF MY f*****g LIFE AND I HAVE THE STATUS OF "NO BOYFRIEND SINCE BIRTH" DO YOU GET ME???????

Oh my gosh... I just sent that message... I was... confused and irritated, alright!

Apollo Gray: Then study more, miss. :)

ARGH! I threw my phone on my table and ducked my head onto the table. I sometimes hate him as a brother!

I took my phone again to reply.

Lyanne Sauria: I hate you so much

Apollo Gray: I thought you love me?

Lyanne Sauria: Not anymore !

Apollo Gray: Okay, fine. Do you want him?

I froze at that question.

Apollo Gray: You're not an innocent child anymore and you know what's gonna happen inside that cinema, Lyanne. Now, do you like him or not?

Why am I overthinking about this? Uhm... it's not bad to try... Right? I should ask Candy.

"Candy, do you think I should go out-"

"YES."

"Candy!"

"What?!" She laughed so hard. "It's a yes!"

"You didn't even let me finish my question!"

"Then finish your question miss ma'am!"

So I asked her if I should go out with Karl and I told her that I think I know what his plans were. We're going to make out! I didn't tell her about Apollo. She doesn't know yet... I'll tell her soon.

"Then go! What are you nervous about?! It's just kissing! No harm in trying. Oh, Oh! And this advice will help you. Uhm... since you're a first timer... when the time wherein you both face and stare at each other... don't immediately close your eyes! Close your eyes when you're an inch closer to each other and make him do the work first and then try to mimic his move-"

"That's too much! That's French kissing!"

"That's the definition of kissing! Oh my, you still got a lot to learn about!"

And now I'm stuck with Candy with her advice!

Apollo Gray: You're not answering me.

Apollo Gray: Lyanne.

Apollo Gray: f**k, answer please. Are you mad?

Apollo Gray: I'm not caging you or whatever, I'm just trying to protect you.

Apollo Gray: Lyanne Angel Sauria.

Apollo Gray: Fine, you can go, but on one condition, I'll fetch you.

What are these messages?

Lyanne Sauria: Hey, I'm not mad. I asked my best friend Candy HAHAHAHA but since you agreed... okay! I'll let you fetch me.

Apollo Gray: Damn, don't you ever leave me on seen, Lyanne.

I laughed and just reacted to his message. That's considered a reply.

I messaged Karl that I'd go out with him and I immediately saw his reaction. He screamed yes and all of our classmates diverted their attention to him.

"I'm going out with this amazing lady!" He bragged and we all laughed.

Damn, is he that happy?

"Wow, grab those lips, Sauria!" Candy whispered and laughed.

I rolled my eyes and I smirked.

The day ended and I messaged Apollo what mall we were going to.

"It's cold..." I bit my lower lip and hugged myself.

"Oh, take my jacket." He took off his jacket and I was about to protest but he immediately put it on me and he's still wearing his coat, which was the uniform, and I think that's fine.

"Thank you, Karl." I smiled.

In the middle of the movie, I began feeling nervous. He held out his hand and I took it. We intertwined our hands. This is it. This is what Candy told me about.

"Lyanne,"

I faced him. "Huh? W-what did you say?"

Karl chuckled. "I didn't say anything... yet..." His face went closer... and closer. "You're cute."

"H-Huh?"

Wait, don't close your eyes, Lyanne!

I waited for the distance and I... felt his lips brush mine. It was a peck. I was about to open my eyes when... he kissed me now for real! Like for real!

I let him dominate my lips until I noticed the movement of his lips and then a few moments after, I tried to mimic it.

I inhaled sharply when it was getting hot.

After a few more moments of kissing, we both let go and we're both panting.

"Damn." He whispered so hotly and gave me one quick kiss. "That's amazing."

I licked my lips and smiled.

"Is this official? You know that when you kiss, it's... day one, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, day one." I smiled.

We kissed and kissed and kissed...

"Had fun, bae?"

Bae...

I was about to speak but I was startled 'cause I heard a honk.

It's Apollo. Oh my gosh, I am so gonna tell him what happened to me today!

"It's Apollo. Yes, I had fun. Thank you so much!" I smiled.

He leaned closer to kiss me and I think I blushed. "Take care. I'll call you once I get home."

"Take care, too." I smiled and waved a little goodbye before I got inside of Apollo's car.

"You... kissed." He stated.

"Well... YES! OMG!" I said so excitedly and Apollo was shocked. "Omg... I felt so embarrassed. I don't think I satisfied him... It's my first time!"

"Second time."

"I don't consider your kiss a kiss, Apollo Moon. That's a peck."

His eyes widened from shock. He looked at me for a brief moment before returning his attention to the road.

"That's a kiss."

"I thought we were not going to talk about that anymore?"

He got quiet at that so I chuckled. "Anyways! I think... I did... okay? Goodness!"

He let out a heavy sigh. I spanked his arm lightly but he over reacted.

"What? What do you want me to say?" He asked.

"Well, make me feel light? I felt so embarrassed! Like... I don't know!"

I saw him lick his lower lip but he didn't respond.

"I made out..." I whispered.

"And you're proud of that?"

"I am! It felt... good. At least for me! I don't know about him!"

"What did he say after the kiss?"

I looked at him. He looks serious, but that's his normal and everyday appearance.

"Well... he cursed and said that it was... amazing..."

"Then it's fine. Don't stress about it. You made him crazy about the kiss."

"We're probably gonna talk about that one tonight."

"What?"

"He said that he'll call me."

"But, it's your first, so, don't go overboard. Know your limits. It might feel good but, you must control it."

"If you're talking about sex... I'm not ready for that." I smiled and Apollo just bit his lower lip.

As soon as we got home, we both ate dinner first.

We both went inside our rooms and right after I took a shower, Karl was calling!

Oh, s**t. I didn't know why I did it but I barged into Apollo's room.

He was sitting on his bed while watching Netflix. He looked shocked.

"He's calling!" I showed him my phone that was ringing.

"Then answer, miss! What the f**k are you doing inside my room?"

"I feel so embarrassed! I don't know what to say! Oh my, hurry!"

"What will I hurry about?!"

"What should I do?!"

"Then don't answer!"

"I have to answer!"

"Damn it, then answer!"

I answered the call.

"Hey, what took you so long?"

"Hey!" I chuckled nervously. I looked at Apollo and saw that he was also looking at me. He pointed at his door as a sign that I should go out, but I didn't follow that. I went and sat beside Apollo instead.

"Sorry, I took so long to answer. I was just in a shower," I explained.

I looked at Apollo and he just rolled his eyes.

"Oh, okay. What time will you go to school tomorrow?"

"Same time every day."

"Can I fetch you tomorrow? Or are you going to be with Apollo?"

"I-I think I'll be with Apollo."

Apollo was shocked at my answer but I shushed him before he could say anything.

"Okay, sure. No problem."

"Oh, by the way... your jacket..."

"Keep it. Its yours."

"Really?" I bit my lower lip.

I almost burst out laughing 'cause of Apollo. He looks so done with me right now.

"Are you going to flirt in front of me?!" He asked in his whispering voice.

I shushed him once again and he rubbed his face, then he lay down on his bed and covered himself with his large duvet.

How cute.

"About the kiss..."

"I don't... wanna talk about it first."

Karl chuckled at the line. "Why? Are you shy? You're actually amazing. You learn fast."

Apollo removed the comforter and looked at me, annoyed. "Out!" He whispered while pointing at the door, but I smiled.

I wanted to annoy him more, so, I lay down on his bed beside him.

"Don't say that please..." I chuckled.

"No, really! You're good."

"Stop, Karl. Fine. You're... great, too."

"Hm, I'll take that." Karl laughed.

"Uhm, Karl-"

"Do you wanna... come to my house tomorrow?"

I'm shocked.

Apollo's brows furrowed and looked at my phone, angrily. Oh my, what did my phone do to you, Moon?

"Uhm, I'll try..." I answered.

"No pressure. Don't worry. We're taking this slow."

"Slow my f*****g ass..." Apollo whispered.

"Okay, I appreciate that, thank you, Karl."

"Oh, Lyanne, uhm. I have to go, my mom's calling me for dinner."

"Oh, sure! Eat well, Karl."

"You should sleep now. Good night, babe."

Apollo's eyes suddenly darted again on my phone. What the hell is this reaction?

"You sleep early, too. Good night, Karl."

And the call finally ended.

"So, what's the point of you being here inside my room, miss?" Apollo asked.

"I was nervous, okay?! I don't have anyone!"

"It's done now, so, can you now go out of my room?" He's really annoyed and I find it amusing.

"What? Am I not allowed to come here? You can go inside my room but I can't go inside your room?" I asked and hugged a pillow. Oh, it smells like him.

"Where are you now?" Apollo asked sarcastically.

"Inside your room." I smiled widely.

"Tss. Go out."

"I need brotherly advice. Since you've heard it, Can I-"

"No."

"You haven't even let me finish yet!"

"He's trying to get you into your panties, Lyanne. Don't act and think so innocent. You know what's going to happen as soon as you set your foot on his territory."

"Well, I need advice on how to get out?"

"Just don't go if you don't want to. You'll give him the wrong intention. If your intention is not to have s*x with him, then don't go."

"What if I want to go to his house but not want to have s*x?"

Apollo groaned frustratedly.

"Are you really asking me?" He asked.

"Well, you're a guy..."

"If I'm the guy... and you go to my house, I know what's going to happen. But I respect a woman's consent, Lyanne."

"Wow, so, why didn't you ask for my consent when you kissed me?"

"I thought we were not going to talk about that?"

"Well... okay, whatever!"

"It doesn't mean I'm a guy. Then we all have the same minds. I told you if I was in that situation. I'll read what the girl wants, but if Karl's intention is to just get you into your panties, then he won't even think about you and your decision. He'll only think of what he wants. Get me?"

"So, not all men are the same, huh?"

"Huh?"

"Nothing. How can I deny?"

"Then say no. If he can't respect that, I'll kick his f*****g ass."

"Okay, I'll say no. I'm not ready for that yet."

"Please, don't come here and ask for advice about s*x when you're ready." He said in such a sarcastic manner and I laughed.

"Oh, I think it's a good idea to ask you! I'll ask you what men wants-"

"Shut the f**k up, Lyanne. Go out of my room. I'll sleep now."

"Can I sleep here?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Out."

"I don't want to." I smiled to tease him more, but he's now really irritated.

This is what it feels to have a sibling, huh? Very fun.

I shrieked when he carried me bridal style and I was laughing. He went to my room and just dropped me on my bed.

"Sleep." He ordered and turned my lights off before going out of my room.

"Psh, that man." I rolled my eyes and just prepared myself to sleep.

I woke up as always, extra early. I took a bath and wore my uniform. As soon as I got out of my room, I knocked on Apollo's door to wake him up. He's grumpy in the mornings!

"Good morning!"

"Bad morning." He greeted me back and I laughed.

"Still don't love mornings?" I smirked.

"Told you, I'll probably hate it." He shrugged and sat down for breakfast.

We both ate our breakfast and I'll be with Apollo. I asked him to drop me off at the side of the school.

"Why here?"

"We can't be seen together!"

"And so? What if we're seen together?"

"You kissed me! What do you think they would think if they saw us go inside the school together?"

He didn't answer, but he just faced me. I fixed my bag and before I got out of his car, I saw that his tie was crooked. I went closer to fix it and I chuckled 'cause he was startled when I got closer. I fixed his necktie and poked his forehead.

"I'll go now."

"Yeah," His voice was hoarse.

It's just a five-minute walk, so it's not a big deal. I got inside the campus and immediately saw Candy with... Jazmond? That's Apollo's friend.

I saw Apollo, who had just got out of his car and was immediately confused. Well, who wouldn't be confused? His friend and my friend are screaming at each other.

"Candy," I called her.

But instead of getting Candy's attention, I got Apollo's attention.

"What?! You f*****g liar! You told me you didn't have a f*****g girlfriend!"

"We broke up, Candy!"

"Oh, really now?!"

"Candy!" I called her again and finally, she faced me. "Let's go." I pulled her arm and she walked away.

I was about to follow Candy but Jazmond's hand grabbed my arm.

"What?" I asked.

"Can you tell your friend to stop chasing me?"

I chuckled sarcastically. "You asked her out on a date and now that she's yours, she heard a sudden confession and you think she's chasing you?"

"Shut the f**k up-"

"Jazmond." Apollo joined the conversion but Jazmond didn't stop.

"Listen here you little-"

I stepped backward and Apollo was in front of me.

"Enough, Jazmond," Apollo stated and his gaze went to me. "Go, follow Candy." He whispered.

"Thank you."

I ran to follow Candy. Upon reaching her, she ranted and ranted and ranted. Well, who wouldn't rant?

"God, I hate him! f**k that cheater!"

"Yeah, go on." I encouraged her to just let her emotions out.

"Oh, by the way. What's with you and Apollo?" She suddenly asked! I got nervous as hell. What?

"W-what?"

"I saw him protect you. For all I know, he doesn't give a s**t to anyone."

Well... I should tell her, right? Damn. Okay. "He's my step-brother."

"WHAT THE F-" I covered Candy's mouth 'cause she was so loud!

I told her the story of me and my family. Of course, that includes Apollo.

"So you live with Apollo?!"

"Yes! Now, please, shut it! I don't want anybody to know."

"The secret is safe with me, but are you sure it's still a secret?" Candy got serious all of a sudden and I got nervous. "You told me that Karl knew it, too, right? He could betray you anytime soon, you know that? Like he can use that to blackmail you if he's an asshole."

"H-he can do that?"

"Some men are a pain in the ass. Not including every man, but some are really assholes." Candy rolled her eyes. "Be careful, hm? But don't worry. I think you're well protected now and I always got your back." She winked and that made me feel a little bit better at least.

Candy even asked about how Apollo treats me and I was smiling as I was telling it. She even teased me, but I just really find Apollo entertaining.

She was happy that Apollo treated me like a sister and I also told her about Karl.

"Oh my... be careful. Just say, you're not ready yet."

"I actually don't know how to deny it." I told her the truth.

"He's gonna experience hell in this school if he makes you cry."

Huh? "Who?"

"Oh, nothing! Just... tell Karl... to go on to another place first. It's your second date and he immediately asked you to go to his house. What a speed boy." Candy shook her head.

"What? I mean nothing's wrong with it. What if he wants to introduce me to his family?" I tried to look on the positive side.

"Oh, what an innocent baby Lyanne. It's rare if you meet a man like that, but, Karl? No. I mean it would be fine if you wanted it, too. But you're... a V... and I know that you're not ready for that thing."

"Yeah... do you think that he'll leave me if I don't..."

"Shut it! Are you saying that he's dating you because of your body?! If he does, then he's a total bitchy asshole."

I suddenly overthinked. What if...

" Your heart is so pure and kind, Lyanne. Although you can be a little flirty if you know it, but... You're a sweet girl. I just hope that he's dating you because of your heart, not your body. I mean... You're kinda hot as hell."

"Oh, shut it." I laughed and Candy also laughed.

But... what if... hm? What if... he only likes my... body...
