"I NEED five minutes to take down the missile" Zyl uttered.
Zandro nodded and then released his katana hanging from his back. "I'm running out of bullets, All of you, run as far as you can. Save yourselves—"
"We can't do that—" Anax responded on the other line. Anax is the chief leader of the Akritai.
"This is an ambush, so run away and save yourself. I commend this as the first Archon", Zandro added.
"Y-yes, first Archon". The whole team answered and there was nothing they could do because that was the order of the first Archon.
The Triad surrounds the first Archon as well as Ara. They are so numerous, that Ara and Zandro are trapped in the middle. "Just stay behind me" the first Archon's commanded.
"I'm done taking down the bomb, you can leave where you are, Ara" Zyl said.
"You ran away too, Zyl, we'll follow", Aniya. Ara and Zandro looked at each other then nodded.
"Ready your weapon."
The two turn their backs on each other as they fight in Triads. They ran out of bullets, so Zandro used a katana while Ara used a dagger.
Simultaneously, Zandro fights the five men while Ara attacks those who try to hurt the first Archon. She was about to be attacked by a man so she immediately dodged afterward and kicked him hard on the thighs. The man fell to the ground so she threw her dagger upside down, then stabbed the knife in his chest. She has no hesitation in killing because she knows that every person in the Triad is a soul -a blocker and no doubt a killer.
When they knocked down the Triad, she was immediately pulled by the first Archon to escape. They ran fast and never looked behind them. They both knew that someone was chasing them, so they ran even faster.
Instead of getting out of the forest, they went even further into the remotest parts. They could count on the finger who chased them, so they decided to stop, but unfortunately, the first Archon fainted. Zandro was attacked again because of his illness, so Ara took the katana held by the first Archon and faced the Triad.
The Triad men stopped to see Ara's sharp stare that scared them. "You all made me so tired tonight. Come closer and the sun will not rise on you. "
"You are committing treason" sagot ng isang Triad.
She smiled half and gave a frightening look at those who wanted to oppose her. "Tsk!, Wrong move!" she uttered.
"Leave the Archon to us and we will leave you alone."
"Touch him and you're dead—" Ara said dangerously "The Archon is mine!!" she added. "Fight me first before you touch the Archon."
Someone dared to shoot her, so she quickly attacked them with her katana. She slowly walked toward those she considered her opponents because they were against her wishes. "Yahh!!" she shouted as she started to attack the men. The rustling sound of sharp knives could only be heard around, as well as the gunshots. She turned quickly to avoid a man's knife after she immediately waved the katana. Two men fell, and she had only four to defeat.
He waved the katana around, then started to attack. She bent over when she was suddenly shot by two men on either side of her. Instead of her being shot, the two Triads were hit by bullets.
"There are only two left" she murmured.
In her exhaustion, she could not immediately dodge the dagger thrown by a man, so she was hit in her thigh. She got on her knees then rolled to the ground as the man tried to fire a gun at her. She immediately stood up and violently attacked one man with her elbow, then kicked the other one.
When one fell to the ground, she immediately turned around, then aimed the katana at the man's neck, then stabbed him. Before the other one could stand up, she quickly threw her dagger and stabbed it in the back of the last opponent.
"D-don't mess up with the monster—" she uttered.
She thought her fight was over but another Triad arrived. "This is a very dreadful night", she commented, then took the dagger and stabbed him in the back of the Triad.
"Ikaw!!, hindi kita pagbibigyan dahil sa ginawa mo sa mga triad na ito!!" anito.
She laughed softly because of the courage shown by the man. "All right, I'll give you what you want, fight me without a weapon and so will I."
"I don't trust you?!!."
"Okay, you choose, you're going to die because of this dagger or you're going to die because of my fist" she replied, then grinned.
The man threw down his knife and the unloaded gun, so she did the same. She clenched her two fists and positioned herself to attack.
The man attacked with a punch so she quickly bent down to avoid it. She immediately retaliated with a strong blow to the stomach, then wrapped her arm around his waist, then, with full force, lifted and thrown backward on the ground.
The man tried to attack her in the back with his elbow but she attacked first and punched him hard in the upper lip, then rolled away over him.
She immediately stood up and quickly picked up the dagger, then pointed it at the man's neck to end the fight. "You should no longer follow your weak allies."
"You also belong to us—" The man could not continue what he was going to say when Ara stabbed the man in the heart.
While panting, she stood up and looked at Zandro, who was still unconscious.
"What else would you expect from someone like me ?." There was bitterness in his voice, then she dropped her weapon. She sat on the ground and gasped in exhaustion.
Ara was trembling when she looked at her hands full of blood. "I d-did again, I have killed so many people again because of this f*cking mission!!!."
She picked up her dagger again, then forced herself to stand up and walked towards the place of the first Archon. The sharpness of her gaze had not yet disappeared, she gripped her dagger tightly and tremblingly pointed it at the first Archon. "If I end your life now, will everything be back to normal? Will the anger in my heart disappear?!"
Ara tried to stab it in the chest of the first Archon but she couldn't. She released the dagger then burst into tears. "Why are you torturing me like this God?!!" she shouted and almost scolded the lord out of anger "What did I do to make you punish me like this!!—" she bit her lip to suppress the noise of her groan then sat down next to the first Archon. "How do I end this?!."
Gradually, the first Archon became conscious. He saw Ara's wet cheeks and bloody hands, so she slowly sat down. His eyes widened as he saw the bodies of the Triad lying on the ground and lifeless. "Y-you did this?!" she stuttered while asking Ara.
"Y-yeah, I am the monster that killed them," Ara said bitterly.
He knew his Sandra was strong but he didn't expect her to be this strong, "Is this what anger does?" he thought.
Zandro looked at Ara, who was stunned. He noticed the cut on her left thigh that was bleeding. "You're bleeding!!" He exclaimed, then immediately tore a piece of his shirt to tie to Ara's thigh. "Forgive me if I suddenly fainted at the time you were fighting... I'm so useless—"
"No you're not" Ara replied, then looked at Zandro. "You protected me when I couldn't fight because of the bomb."
"Still, I am so sorry" his persistence "We need someone to pick us up so we can get out of this jungle."
"There is no signal in this area so you have no one to call to help us. We need to walk out" Ara said, then forced herself to stand up.
"You can't walk in that condition," Zandro said, then bent over and "Hop in."
"I c-can walk" she stuttered.
"No you can't— your wound will bleed more when you force yourself to walk", Zandro replied. Ara did nothing but follow the first Archon.
As the first archon walked and treaded the dark road he could not help but ask "How did you become so strong?"
Ara was silent for a few minutes before answering "Because I chose to be like this, I had to be like this... I went through a lot before I became a heartless killer."
Zandro sighed because of what Ara said, "Don't be so mean to yourself. As for me, I can't count the bad people I had to kill... And we have reasons to do those things. "
"Why are you like this to me? Why are you kind to someone like me?!" Ara couldn't help but ask because of the dealings shown to her by the first Archon.
"I don't know either. As far as I know, that's what my heart wants—" Zandro replied honestly.
