Letisha
Her lean figure was leaning against the large branch of the tree, the fugitive light peeping through the leaves which hit her face, but it didn't bother Letisha as she was in deep slumber, her arm resting on her forehead. Not minding anything especially those Sylphs that were shouting her name in distress.
They were looking for her for at least an hour but they still couldn't find her. A Fae which was three inches tall looked down. She was watching over Letisha in case misfortune decides to surprise her such as falling down the tree which never happens yet, by the way. She was quite good at sleeping in the branches without even slipping.
"Letisha! Don't be a coward, reveal yourself!" A young and slim woman, elevating in the air shouted in full annoyance.
The fairy glanced at Letisha who was now moving slightly. Slowly and reluctantly, she removed her arm away from her face. She blinks, closes her eyes, and blinks again. Her emerald green eyes shone in the warm light. Then, she groaned inwardly, silently protesting because of the unwanted disturbance.
"Sometimes, waking up can be really harsh..." she pointed out.
She sat on the big branch, knees closed to her chin as she wrapped her arms around her legs. She lazily stared at the small fairy standing across her who was smiling widely at her. But she knew better behind that deceptive smile…
"The Sisters were looking for you again. What did you do this time, Letisha?" the Fairy named Rin, who was her guardian, asked accusingly.
She pursed her lips, then looked down to see the flying creatures struggling to reach her place. Their wings were too small and it wasn't fully developed yet, they still tried their hardest to strike her. They can't even fly properly.
Letisha mentally rolled her eyes before shrugging, acting so innocent.
"It wasn't me who gave them false hope about their future partner. It was the Fae inside me," she answered normally. "And they are too young to believe in such things. They were expecting a loyal, and loving partner which I showed them through illusion. I don't even know if that exists nowadays."
She shook her head in dismay, still looking at them. The Sisters should practice how to fly perfectly instead of interrupting her sleep, and of course, expecting a guy to be faithful to them at such a young age.
They are just eleven for Pete's sake. They should just play in the corner as normal kids do.
"You came out as a bitter fae by the tone of your voice, Letisha," Rin commented.
She immediately peered at her, looking so disgusted by the thought. "Hell, no! I would never!" Because of her loud voice, the Sylphs found her lurking place.
"Letisha, you manipulative giant fae! Climb down the tree and face your end!"
This time, the Sylphs stayed in the mid-air, raising their heads to look up to her. From her position, she could see how their faces turned to a tomato-red out of annoyance. She has seen the imaginary smoke rise from their nostrils out of anger a lot of times but for some reason, she plainly likes teasing them nonstop because it always made her day. All the damn time.
She looked down at them then moved her lips, mimicking them. "Just go home and sulk, babies!"
"I hate you, Letisha! Giant! Fake fae! Monster giant fae!" The Sisters continued throwing words that she ignored. She was used to hearing it over and over again and it never affects her anyway.
Maybe they got tired, so they stopped and flew away. Finally giving her the peace she needed.
Letisha laughed annoyingly. "See what I'm talking about?"
She moved her legs, now straddling the branch. Putting her palms behind her waists, she straightens her back. Face crumbling as her bones cracked at every stretch she made.
"I feel like I bear all the problems here in the Acres Kingdom... My back hurts." She frowned.
"That's for not using your bed properly. You have the softest and comfortable bed in Faye but you still chose to sleep here."
"Because whenever I entered my room, my tummy just groaned in disapproval. It shouts royalty and those expensive shits I don't even need in my life."
"You can always change your room from royalty to commoner?" Rin proposed but even she was unsure of her own suggestion.
"I can't. It was La Reine who designed my room," she remembered the Queen.
Letisha lived in the Acres Kingdom which was divided into four regions. The region which is called Nixie, they are the blue-eyed manipulative Nixie that rules the oceans. The Sylphs, they were the creature who has the power over the wind and clouds, which the Sisters came from but, still not learning anything from their masters. The Sidhe or the pathfinders and lastly, the Faye region.
She rules over the Faye area. It is the biggest region among Acres and the kingdom itself is ruled by la Reine and the Roi. She's close to la Reine, or the Queen...
As per the Sister's words, they were right about her as being the Giant Fae and the tallest being amongst their land which made everyone scared of her. Except for those people who were in the same position as her, and definitely not those in the higher position. But regardless of their differences, the Queen never saw her as something weird or anything that would offend her in any way.
"Right, but you're not staying in the room she designed for you."
Now, she felt guilty about that fact.
"Because it screams royalty..." she said nonchalantly.
"Maybe because you are?"
She gazed at Rin. "Yeah... But, I don't like being one."
Her mind wanders. If she could just give her throne to someone else, she would. But a lot of Faes were dependent on her administration. She gave their full trust in her and she doesn't want to ruin it.
"Your time's up, by the way. Time to go back to Faye and play a major role as our leader, Rani Letisha."
