CONFRONTATION

"Now what???" she said angrily habang padabog nyang isinara ang pinto  pagpasok nila sa kanilang penthouse. She threw her bag  on the sofa and faced him, waiting for him to say something.

"Look, I'm sorry for dragging you out of the club. It wasn't my intention to do that but I know Ivan, that guy you have met. He was trying to drug you!" Alex tried to explain.

Mylene was a bit surprise sa sinabi ni Alex and hated herself because she was being so careless again, but she didn't show it.

"Eh ano naman ba sa'yo Alex? I didn't meddle when you had s*x with some low, cheap w***e! We had a deal, so get your f**king ass off my personal life! If I want to flirt, eh di mag flirt ka din! If I want to make out with other men, mag make out ka din. Wala ka na dun!" Mylene screamed at him to air out her dismay too.

But Alex pretended he wasn't affected by what she said, though her words cut like a dagger to him. Wala pang babaeng gumawa nito sa kanya. Kahit kailan, di pa sya sumuyo sa babe. Di pa sya nasigawan ng babae.

Only her...

And he allowed that.

He slowly approached Mylene, wearing his most pleading expression.

"Please love, let's talk. I'm sorry." he softly said.

Mylene was fuming as she pushed Alex away from her.

"Eh talagang gago ka nga pala! Matapos mo akong gaguhin, sasabihin mo I'm sorry??? Matapos kang makipagtalik sa ibang babae, I'm sorry lang??? And you have the nerve to meddle on my personal business!!" she blurted out.

"Love..."

"Tangina mo! Don't you ever dare call me love!!! Akala mo ba sa isa mong "I'm sorry" mawawala na lahat. Putangina! Wala kang pinag iba sa kanila."

Mylene felt so weak. She just wanted all this to stop. She was so tired of everything.... tired of hurting.... tired of fighting....tired of hoping...

If I'll say I was too drunk not to know, I'll be lying again. If I'll say I was so weak to be tempted, then by god, I was so stupid! I have no reason! Isa lang ang alam ko. Ang gago ko! I'm so stupid Mylene to have hurt you like that..." Alex sincerely said.

This time, Mylene let out all her heartaches and cried and she couldn't help or hide it. She hated herself for feeling that sincerity in Alex's pleading and she felt like she is betraying her ownself for feeling that way. She was trapped again, her fragile heart.

And she hated herself more for falling for him!

She gathered her thoughts on what she wanted to happen....because she needed to be on guard. She couldn't be vulnerable to get hurt again.

Alex took a deep breath. He, too, was so lost. Ngayon, masasabi nyang he couldn't afford to lose her, and he was going to do everything to make her stay with him. Wala ng pa pride. Wala nang pagmamayabang sa kakayahan nya. He had proven that ample times. He had to make her give him that chance.

He looked straight into Mylene's eyes...

She was so torn between believing in his sincerity and broken by his lies. She had to safeguard her heart. She composed herself, took a deep breath, and said,
