Prologue

"Ample of water will kill fire, drown the flame in the deepest water, never let the fire strike to make more shellac and dusts, end the war. Human can't go against gods." I kept on hearing Vriveta's words on my head. "She's of no use! Kill her or I would!" I was stunned from the words that swayed along in thin air, cold, harsh, and grotesque. She's pinned on the cushion as I stared at her sending message of how horrendous she sounds. We did everything so we can keep Cyan, aftermath of the war. Suggesting such evil solution is horrible.  "We'll be forever chased by death for what she did. We'll die when she stays here. She should have died, she messed everything up instead of making our life out from danger! She's just a burden Rain! Send her away or bring her back to that place or I won't stop myself anymore from killing her!" I can't stand how devilish she had become that she's willing to kill her own sister, just because she did something that's out of her consciousness. I swallowed the lump on my throat before I could utter a word; she stood, so I seized her right wrist.  "If you don't want her here, we'll separate. You go on your own and I'll keep her with me." I saw how she swallowed hard, scared of the speech that seems latent to me but a visible threat to her, how can she not be afraid when I am the only key to keep them alive? How can she be this ruthless asking me to kill a life that is more valuable than mine? "She rode an Eruvun and commanded a Rogomon! She's a monster, she's not my sister anymore, she was possessed by someone who wants chaos! Can't you see it Rain? She needs to die!" I cannot decipher the eagerness of Huestia on killing her own sister; I cannot accept any reason, even if she's being rational this time. There's no way I'll participate in that. And after all those repent that sufficed, I ended up here, standing, willing, and decided to end Cyan's life. 'She has to.' "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I don't want her to hear me sobbed; I don't want to let her feel that after trying to be brave the whole time. I was truthfully weak, she is my weakness. I should have told her before this happened to her. I know, in her state of trauma, eyes were open but the look seems to be in an abyss, blank and emotionless. Her mind was in balmy, her brain was in peace like dreaming the entire time, but I know for sure she can still hear my whispers on her ears. I know she can still hear my words of assurance. 'Everything will be okay, keep sleeping.' But then, in my pretentious bravery, my shaking shoulders and shivering hands cannot be kept anymore. I covered my mouth with the back of my hand from producing any sounds of sorrow. For all the departure I did, this might be the farewell that I couldn't take, it seems to be a death of me too. I have given myself options: Let her live with eyelids close or let her eyelids close... permanently. And I choose the latter. I don't wanna see her die, but why am I here? I was on the edge of the cliff, cupping her head on my thighs as her defunct body still creates beauty with her red tight dress, few more seconds and her beauty will be one with the water. I tightened my grip. Goodbye Cyan. I'm sorry. No. I can't. I shook my head several times and my sob becomes louder. Then I heard growls. Just across the cliff is a never-ending forest, where curses begin, where monsters lived. 'A toughened Eruvun that breathes fire, winged rogue wolves, and winged giant lions.' Their roars of something I couldn't name accompanied each other loudly. It seems like a cry and a warning of the monsters who took her soul. "I love you so much, I love you." I loved her, but why? Why? "This was the best decision you should have made a long time ago, son." I swiftly tilt my head up and saw another monster hiding in a foreign and beautiful visage. My heartless father, King Ore Thoisco Evionoire, stood grim and virile on his darkened armor that's tainted with bloods. On his copper-yellowish hair, lilac eyes and fair complexion hides a monstrous man. I was surrounded by armored soldiers, spears, swords, and bows aiming at me. Looks could really mislead a strong empire.
