I already finished Chandra's operation and now, palabas na ako dahil ililipat na sa stretcher si Chandra para ihatid sa room niya. Nadatnan ko si Vesper sa labas na may kasamang matandang lalaki. Lumapit ako sakanila para ma acknowledge nila ang presence.

"Vesper," tawag ko sa asawa ko. Agaran siyang lumingon sa akin at dali dali niya akong nilapitan.

"How's the operation?" tanong niya sa akin. Ngumiti ako sakanya.

"It's successful, let's just wait for my approval para alisin ang benda na naka lagay sa mata niya," sagot ko sakanya. Huminga naman ito ng malalim at niyakap ako.

"Chi è questa donna, Vesper?" Who is this woman, Vesper?

Tanong ng matandang lalaking kasama ni Vesper. Kumunot ang noo ko at tinitigan ito.

"Chi sei?" Who are you?

Kunot noong tanong ko naman sakanya. Kung titignan ay hindi ko talaga siya kilala. And I don't even like the tone he gave me.

"Lei è mia moglie papà, ed è lei che ha gestito Chandra," She is my wife dad, and she is the one who operated Chandra.

Seryosong sagot ni Vesper sa tatay niya. Tumayo ako roon at tinitigan ang matandang lalaki na kung maka titig sa akin akala mo isa akong pesteng kailangan nang patayin. Hindi ko siya sinagot o binigyan pa ng kung anong reaksyon dahil hindi ko gusto ang buong pagkatao niya.

Sagot ko pabalik sakanya. Kumunot ang noo niya sa sinabi ko.

"Papà fermati. Non ti ho chiamato a venire qui per mancare di rispetto a mia moglie. Chiudi la tua bocca o sarò io a buttarti fuori da questo ospedale" Dad stop. I didn't call you to come here to disrespect my wife. Stop you mouth or I'll be the one who will throw you out of this hospital.

Sagot ko sakanya at inirapan siya. Hindi pa nga ako nakaka alis ay may nag datingan na mga tao pa. Lumapit sila kay Vesper at tinanong nila ang kalagayan ni Chandra.

"Yes! you always known that my daughter hates italian women!" sagot niya kay Vesper kaya napa ngiwi ako sa sinabi niya.

"You know what, Vesper's choice won't be changed. We are now married, so shut your muth people or I will tell the owner of this hospital to ban all of you!" sigaw ko sakanilang lahat.

"What? you're just a doctor here, you can't do that," sagot niya sa akin. Clearly mocking me.

"I am not a resident doctor here ma'am, hospitals flocks on my feet so I can use their hospitals for the eye operation I am doing. I am Zephyrine Velvet, I just hope my name rings a bell. So, don't make a ruckus here, I'm going to call my friends," sagot ko sakanila at hinawakan ang braso ni Vesper para mag paalam muna sandali. Pumunta ako sa quarter na pinahiram sa akin ng mga doctors here para makapag pa hinga pagka tapos ng operation.

"Dove sei Zephy? Attualmente siamo alla mensa dell'ospedale, vieni qui" Where are you Zephy? we're currently at the hospital's cafeteria, come here.

Sambit ni Eleanor sa akin. Pinatay ko ang tawag at bumangon sa pagkaka higa ko sa kama, sinuot ko ang lab gown ko at lumabas ng kwarto at dumiretso ako sa cafeteria, nadatnan ko ang dalawa roon na kumakain ng mga pagkain na binili nila sa labas.

Tanong ko sakanila pagka lapit ko. Kumuha ako ng pizza at kinagatan ito, palagi naman silang ganito dahil kapag may operasyon ako, pagka tapos ko mag opera ay pinupuntahan nila ako para dalhan ng pagkain dahil hindi ko kakayanin na kumain ng hospital foods.

Natatawang sambit ni Lucia sa akin. Tumango naman ako dahil sanay naman na sila sa set up namin. And they are happy to cater all of my needs because according to them, me using their hospital for my operations is such an honor. Isa ako sa mga sikat na ophthalmologist dito sa italy kaya rin siguro gusto nilang hospital nila ang pipiliin ko dahil ako lang ang ophthalmologist na walang hospital na pinag t-trabauhan. Dahil ayoo ng lifetime responsibility, ayokong matali sa trabaho.

I am doing this for my self satisfaction adn to help, pero wala akong balak gawing lifetime wrk ito. I still have my company to think, na kayang kaya tumayo na kahit wala ako para i handle ito,

Sagot ko sakanila. Tumango naman ang dalawa, sa lahat ng inoperahan ko ni isa sakanila ay wala pang naging unsuccessful na operasyon, kaya siguro andami ring gusto magpa opera sa akin around the world, ako nalang talaga ang tmatanggi dahil ayoko ma stress.

As much as I want to help, I can't burn myself out, I also need to make myself comfortable, kahit alipin ako ng pera kailangan ko rin namang tumanggi sa mga malalaki nilang offer, dahil baka kapag pinilit ko ay pare pareho kaming mahirapan pa.
