Chapter II: And so it begins.

EUNSOO'S POV

"Don't worry guys, you will not be married right away. But you should marry after your college years or else the inheritance of all the ownership that supposed to be passed down to you will be held, cause your marriage is included in your both grandfathers' last will of testament, that if their grandchildren will not be united through marriage then all of the ownership or inheritance will be transfer to the second family." Aunty In-ha added.

"WHAT?!" We both exclaimed.

"So, it's like we don't have a choice but to do this?!" Jaeyeol asked while his voice was shaking.

"Well, you do have, but if you will not be married, then the inheritance will be removed on your bloodline." She replied.

I felt tears welling up in my eyes. After all my hardships, I even let go of my first love because of this heirship abruptly, everything will be lost If I will not agree with this sudden arranged marriage.

"You just need to pretend you are already married in front of your grandfather. And then that is it. The life of Jaeyeol's grandfather is already short for him to see your successful marriage. So, he requested the two of you must be married right away. But Eunsoo's father disagreed with it, so we made an agreement that the two of you will just pretend that you were already married in front of him and then when you were both finished on your college years, that's the time you will have your official wedding in front of the altar." She told us.

"Okay, please understand the situation of Jaeyeol's grandfather Eunsoo-ya. Every grandparent hoped to see their grandchildren having a successful marriage..." She added as gently as she could as if she is trying to comfort me " I'll leave this document." She added as she handed us an envelope.

"Wha-what's this?" I asked

"Well, it's your marriage agreement. Let us say that it is just a preparation for your future wedding. So, when you signed it with your official signature, then in the eyes of the law, you are already committed to each other." She told us.

Our eyes widened up when we realized that it is reality.

Us being engaged.

Us being a couple.

And I as Mrs. Park Eunsoo, in the near future.

*Songhyun calling*

"Wait, your mother is calling me. I think she called because of your arranged marriage, I'll return, just make yourself comfortable with each other so that it won't be hard for the both of you to accept the fact that next few years of your lives."

"Just stop it Omma we already got it," replied Jaeyeol then smile sarcastically

She left us hanging.

AWKWARD.

"I'm sorry, If I know that this situation will happen, then I should have let go of you a while ago," Jaeyeol told me.

"I-I-I ... no.."

Realizing that all of this is not just a dream, suddenly, the tears I'm holding up to this point suddenly burst out of my eyes.

"Why are you crying? You are making me feel guilty about this. Aish." He blurted out.

"Sorry..."

"It's not your fault." He said while smiling beautifully.

His smile comforted me by just looking at it. His eyes were talking as if it's telling me to calm down.

"Alright, we don't have a choice, so why can’t we just do this? We can't run from this situation, but we can face this situation together, well as friends though." He told me then suddenly held my hand

What is he doing?! Why is he holding my hands?! Is he trying to give me his pity?!

A while ago he hated me for what I did to his shirt and now what?!!

"What?!" I exclaimed

"Come' on Eunsoo, let us not be childish here. Let us face the truth that we are both the heir of our family. So, we don't have any choice but to do this right?" He told me with a smile on his face

I nodded.

The puppy eyes.

I really cannot resist his charm. I do not know but I just like the way he stared at me, at that moment. Why is he like this.? Why am I acting like this?! Really?!

"Let us have an agreement, OKAY? We just need to pretend that we are a couple in front of grandfather. A really sweet one though" He added.

I felt my heart skipped a beat from what he said.

"We should at least be sweet in front of him, right? Don't worry, just in front of him...I won't bother you outside your house... your world is yours and mine is mine... no commitment, okay?" added Jaeyeol

It was really a ridiculous idea. As long as I will not be committed to anyone especially with this guy then it's a good idea.

"Okay. It's a deal then." I answered.

"But... I should call you Jagiya (Wife), as a part of the plan, well having call signs like that makes a couple, cuter right? So, from now on I will call you Jagiya and you should call me yeobo (Husband), you understand? You are my FIANCE ANYWAY." He added then gave me a playful smirked.

SERIOUSLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS JERK?!

We started to sign our engagement agreement. After signing the documents, suddenly I felt chills coming from other's hands. Those chills were from Jaeyeol's hand. It moved towards my face. Suddenly, I felt nervous. What is he doing?! Trying to make me fall for him?! Is he fooling around!! UGHH!

We did not notice that we started to stare at each other's eyes.

"Well, this moment is our engagement anyway, but because you are to become my wife in the future, then I shall give you the first sign of my commitment." He said while holding my cheeks.

I felt my blood rushed towards my face. I cannot help but blush. What is this feeling he is giving me? I cannot express it with words

He suddenly leaned his face nearer. I did not understand why I closed my eyes.

I felt a peck at my cheeks. I was mesmerized by what happened. Wait, what happened?

Then the realization hits me, he kissed me on my cheek.
