Unexpectedly, Engaged.

Chapter VIII: Help.

EUNSOO'S POV

Am I jealous? I asked myself.

My heart skipped a beat.  I really cannot understand the meaning of this feeling. It is not jealousy. I know it is not, because I know deep inside my heart, I still like Zeus but, what is this? Really?

Is it because he is my fiancé? Yeah, I think it is only natural to have this kind of feelings for him. I am not that cold.

When I realized that what I had seen, I picked the DVD I dropped a while ago and immediately went outside the store. I tried to hide from Jaeyeol and from the others.

I released a deep sigh, "I hope Jaeyeol didn't see me a while ago, because if he had seen me, I am dead."

When I went outside the mall, I saw the favorite milktea store of Seho, beside the entrance of the mall. At the sight of it cause me to crave for it that I decided to buy one. I bought a Cookies and Cream milktea and stayed inside the store for a while.

"The atmosphere here is so peaceful.” I brought out my history book and started reading it.

TIME PASSED BY AND I DID NOT NOTICE THAT IT WAS ALREADY 8PM IN THE EVENING.

Gosh, it is late, ugh. I really enjoyed reading that did not bother to check the time! Now my parents might scold for this. Aish.

I immediately walked outside the store, then I saw Jaeyol with his colleague, still holding Ara on his arms. Again, I felt that unexplainable feeling. They were waving their hands on each other. I think they were saying their goodbyes

Oh no, I need to go, or else Jaeyeol might see me! He might think that I am stalking him.

I immediately ran out the store, and tried to hide from them, without realizing that I walked in a dark alley. A very dark one. Seriously? Why did I go to this place? 

It was too dark. The lights were flickering, and it just added fuel to the fire because I am afraid of the dark.

Suddenly, I felt someone grabbed my arm. I turned around and saw the guy who was holding my arm together with two others who seem to be drunk.

"Ayo Young lady! Are you lost? Want my help? I will bring you in my house, you want?" Said the guy and then pushed me in the wall.

“Ugh." I screamed because of the pain I felt when my spine hit the wall.

Suddenly, I felt chills coming out from my body. I was so afraid that I really do not know what to do. I could feel my eyes were starting to well up.

"Oh, calm down, we just want your Cellphone." The other guy said.

"Might as well her body. Look she is beautiful. She has the curves that I really want." Added the guy who was still holding me from the wall.

"Oh well, you're right, can we just take her home, then continue in there?" Said the other guy, then brought out a knife.

My eyes widened up when I saw the sharp knife he brought out. I could feel my body shaking because of the terror I was feeling right now. My tears started to fall from my eyes because of fear.

“Please, don't hurt me.” My lips let out those words without me realizing it. “I will give you my phone, my money, everything I have but please don't kill me." I pleaded.

"Yah, just continue in our house." Instructed the other guy.

"Hehehe, come' on, let us just leave her alone. Just look at the bag of that young lady and check what she's got." Asked the other guy.

"Oh no, I won't hurt you lady. We will just enjoy. Hmm. Let us enjoy okay?" answered by the guy.

No. Is this the end of my Life?

I feel hopeless I do not know how I should respond. Suddenly, I felt the guy unpinning my uniform. I could feel his hands moving in the middle side of my legs and was lifting it up.

Then I remembered all the words that Jaeyeol told me that night.

He is right.

The only thing I could do cry. Nothing else.

"Calm down miss. Just enjoy it, okay?" Said the p*****t.

"Hey, be good to her, she's honest and innocent. I will make up with her after you're done." added the guy who is now holding my phone and my wallet.

When everything was so uncleared, there was one name that was very cleared inside my mind.

And that was the name of the very person I was wishing to help me at this very moment.

"Jayeol, please help me!" I shouted out very loud, trying to release from the hands of the p*****t guy. “Jayeol, please help me! I beg of you please."

"This lady knows how to ressist!" He said then punched me in my stomach

I fell on the ground. I received another heavy kick on my stomach, then a slap on my face.

Before I knew it, I was already being beaten to death. A blood came out of my mouth. Before I knew it, I was vomiting blood. I felt very weak. If only I had listened to what Jaeyeol told me then, this would not happen to me.

"Calm down bro. You will not enjoy if she suddenly becomes a corpse." Protested the other guy.

I felt I was already dying. I could feel that I was at the midst of fainting. I could feel my head was surrendering because of the pain I was experiencing right now.

"I am sorry, Jaeyeol." I whispered.

I closed my eyes ready and was ready to give up my life, but then I heard words that I was not expecting to hear. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH EUNSOO?! You’ll pay for this!” A familiar voice shouted out.

I heard sounds that were seemed to be sounds of people fighting with each other.

"Who do you think you are?!"

"I am that girl's fiancé!"  

"Wait, we got them hyung. Do not worry I am a martial artist remember?"

"HYUNG! Just bring Eunsoo-noona out of here!” Wait, that is my cousin’s voice.

What are they doing here?

"We can do this!"

"This will be a war, brothers."

"Baekhyeon-hyung already called the police."

"Jaeyeol-hyung! Just get Eunsoo-noona out of here! We'll handle this one."

I could not see a thing and could barely open my eyes. My sight was completely blurred, and I could not hear clearly. All I could hear were sounds of people being beaten.

Wait. Jaeyeol-- is here?

Then I felt someone had lifted me up. I could feel the warm embrace of that person. Who is this? I tried to open my eyes, but I just could not. I started crying again.

"Eunsoo?! Please wake-up! Arg, this is all my fault. If I only I guarded you, then this would not happen." Said the person who was now holding me on my arms, "I am really sorry." Then I felt a tear fell from his eyes. I slightly opened my eyes then I saw puppy eyes that belong to a particular person. The person I hate but then he was the one who was here with me right now.

It was Jaeyeol.

I started to cry heavily. I could not believe he was here. Even though he is mad at me, still he saved me from those criminals

"I am sorry, I am sorry. I--- " Before I could continue, he touched my lips with his finger.

"Psh, it's alright Jagiya. Enough crying, I am already here. This will not happen again. I will protect you whatever happens, I promise." He answered. 

I wanted to express my thanks but then before I could even speak, I felt my consciousness had already surrendered and with that everything became black.

JAEYEOL'S POV

We were now saying our goodbyes to each other. Zeus-hyung left earlier because he really needs to do something. Jongil did not meet us because he has a rehearsal with our dance instructor. Although Alpha was not complete still, I really enjoyed this day because I was with Ara. She let me huger. Tsss. If only I did not lose in that dare game by that Baek Hyeon, then this would not happen. Well, good for me so I may confirm if we have mutual feelings for each other.

I really like her, and I hope I can ask her out.

"Yah, Jaeyeol, drive Ara back to her house." Said Baek Hyeon then smirked.

"That is a very good idea." Ying nodded.

"Ah, no, I can go home by myself. I am okay. Just go home. I don't want to burden others." Ara answered sweetly.

Ah, this girl is so good in making me fall over heels for her.

"Ahm, alright. I will not insist anymore.” I smiled. I admit, I was hoping for her to agree with Baek Hyeon’s idea, but oh well, it not bad for a good to be independent like her.

"Bye everyone, thank you for accompanying me.” Ara bid her farewell, but before she left, she tiptoed near my ears then whispered, “I think I like you."  

After saying those words, she rode the bus then left us.

I was left dumbfounded by what she had told me. Wait, did she just admit that she likes me? “She likes me?”

Gosh, I can finally ask her out!

"Jaeyeol? Bro? You okay? You are acting weird." Chen then asked me, “Hmm, tell us what she had told you.”

"Hmm. Nothing?" I winked at him.

"Jayeol, please help me!" I heard a faint shout, and I did not know where it came from.

I could not understand myself, but I could feel my hands were sweating and my heart was throbbing. What was that? Who was that? Was I imagining things?

"Hyung are you alright?" Seho asked with a worry on his face.

"I guess.”

“Jayeol, please help me! I beg of you please” Suddenly, I heard again that voice who was callng my name.

Wait, that voice.

I know that voice, it is---

"That is Eunsoo-noona's voice!" Seho responded that had just confirmed my hypothesis.

"What?!" Ying blurted out.

"It came from that alley!" Baek Hyeon pointed out.

I could feel my body shaking, nervously. What is happening? If something happened to her, I do not knot what I would do.

Before I knew it, my feet started running towards the alley.

"Yah! Jaeyeol! Wait for us!" I heard Chan exclaimed but then I was so eager to know what the hell was happening to Eunsoo that I just ignored their calls for me to stop my feet.

I arrived at the alley and saw what was happening.

A girl was helplessly being beaten to death.

A girl who was vomiting blood.

A girl whose clothes were torn apart.

Then shivers automatically were sent to my spine when I had realized the girl I was witnessing dying in front of me, was none other than my fiancé, Eunsoo.

Abruptly, I felt a sudden rage coming out from me. I could not explain it, but my body was being overwhelmed by this emotion. My mind was preoccupied by the terror I saw.

I could not control myself anymore.

What are they doing here?

"We can do this!"

"This will be a war, brothers."

"Baekhyeon-hyung already called the police."

"Jaeyeol-hyung! Just get Eunsoo-noona out of here! We'll handle this one."

" WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH EUNSOO?! You’ll pay for this!" I said then went to one of the guys and punched him on his face.

"Who do you think you are?!" Responded the guy. Isn’t it obvious who I was?!

"I am that girl's fiancé!" I suddenly blurted out.

I could not control my emotions that I just wanted to kill that guy. I am furious at him. Who would not be?!

Then I saw at my peripheral vision that Ying grabbed me by the arm. He was trying to calm me down. Ugh, is he insane?!

"Yah! Let go of me!” I answered furiously. What does he think?! I would just let this pass?! “I will kill those guys!”

"If you go there alone, you will end up killing yourself Jaeyeol." Chan told me. "Look, they are holding knives and he has his colleagues with him. You would not be able to fight him alone." He added.

"Wait, we got them hyung. Do not worry I am a martial artist remember?" Ying was preparing his knuckles.

"HYUNG! Just bring Eunsoo-noona out of here!” Seho approached me.

"We can do this." Kunwoo added.

"Who are you!?" Asked the guy at the corner, the one who was holding Eunsoo's bag.

"This will be a war, brothers." Ying had already pulled-up the sleeves of his shirt.

"Baekhyun hyung already called the police." Chan said.

"Jaeyeol-hyung! Just get Eunsoo-noona out of here! We'll handle this one." Seho instructed.

I nodded in agreement. Even if I was wanting, for me to beat those criminals but I need to go to her.

I immediately ran towards Eunsoo and lifted her up I embraced her. I really need to comfort her. She is suffering right now. I saw her face, she was crying.

I felt my heart begun to beat faster. I cannot look at her seeing her at this kind of state. I do not want to see her crying, like this. It is stinging me.

I cannot understand why, but I just do not other hurting this girl.

"Eunsoo?! Please wake-up! Arg, this is all my fault. If I only I guarded you, then this would not happen." I told her and held her on my arms, "I am really sorry." Then I felt a tear fell from my eyes then I realized I was already crying.

But why?

"I am sorry, I am sorry. I--- " My eyes widened up because of what I heard.

Before she could continue, I touched her lips with my finger. "Psh, it's alright Jagiya. Enough crying, I am already here. This will not happen again. I will protect you whatever happens, I promise."

I could not understand what was going on with me, but then I hugged her. I felt her gripped on my arms loosen.  I guess she had passed out. Ugh, she needs an immediate medical care.

I decided to carry her in a bridal style. "I promise you Eunsoo, I will never let anyone hurt you again." I whispered to her small ears.

I will protect her whatever happens. I will not allow anyone to touch her again.

I am being possessive but if this is the only way I can protect her, then I am willing to be overly protective of her.
