Chapter 16

JIMIN

"Jimin. Ya, Park Jimin!"

I looked over to Sulli who was sitting at the front of the car.

"Wae?"

"Didn't you hear me or were you up in the clouds again?" She seemed annoyed. "Anyways, you have three radio show guestings coming up this week and a photoshoot tomorrow afternoon. Then you'll be performing on three music shows for the next three weeks. I e-mailed you the new sched. Which you can just link to your calendar."

"Sulli, how old is Minji again?"

"She's five months old. Wae?"

"Nothing." I looked out the window.

Jiyoung... I'm positive he's mine. Was that the reason why she left? Or did her father found out about us and forced her to leave?

After Chaeyoung left me, I fell into a depression. I would get drunk every single night and cried myself to sleep. I became lifeless.

But one night, while I was in a bar singing my heart out, a talent scout discovered me and casted me as a trainee. My life still meant nothing back then but it got me busy. I poured everything into composing and singing until I debuted a month after. I became a hit.

Then I made Sulli my manager after she gave birth since she needed the job to support Minji. Her courage was really admirable and I felt kinda responsible for them since it was my father who knocked her up.

I scoffed. I'm here taking care of Sulli and her child while I didn't even know I got my girlfriend pregnant.

"Jimin. Is there something wrong?" Sulli asked.

I sighed. "I saw Chaeyoung."

"Chaeyoung? The Park Chaeyoung your girlfriend who suddenly disappeared?" I nodded. "When? Where? How?"

"Ya. Ya. Ya. One question at a time. Sheesh."

"You can't blame me, Jimin. I feel really guilty since then. I've always thought it was my fault why she left you."

"I already told you it's not. Before she left I specifically told her that I wasn't Minji's appa," I assured her. "And she trusted me. I felt it."

"Yeah yeah. But you can't blame me if I feel responsible," she countered. "It was so big of a coincidence that she left when I got knocked up by your good for nothing father."

"I warned you not to go near him, didn't I?"

"Yeah but I fell for him." She sighed. "This is why I hated relationships with feelings involved. But at least I have Minji."

I looked at how happy Sulli looked when she mentioned Minji's name. There was no sign of regret or anything at all. I wonder if Chaeyoung felt the same. If she had regrets or anything.

I took my phone out to message my hyungs. Yes, we still keep in touch. Even Kookie.

famousmochi: she was at the airport too when I arrived from my tour. 

famousmochi: she was carrying this infant around five to four months old.

actortaelien: she got married?!

namjooninyourarea: if she left when she was a month pregnant, then eight months plus four....

famousmochi: that child is mine

famousmochi: and she must've left because of that

famousmochi: or her father found out about us and forced her to leave

At aroung seven pm, I arrived at Hobi hyung's bar. Everyone was there including Jennie.

"Hey Jen--aw!" A nice strong slap in the arm from the one and only Jennie Kim. "What was that for?!"

"For knocking up Chaeng causing her to leave!" she exclaimed. "If you two were fooling around, why didn't you use some condoms, you jerk!"

"We did use one! Every damn time!"

"Ya! Don't scream at her," Yoongi hissed. I rolled my eyes.

"Those things aren't a hundred percent reliable," Jin muttered.

"Irregardless, we have a baby and I have no freakin' idea what to do right now."

I massaged my own temples as I processed all these sudden revelations. A part of me is furious 'coz I had no idea that I'm a father now and Chae didn't even tell me, but the other part is esctatic 'coz hell, I'm a freakin' dad! I have a kid! With Chae!

"Jimin? Hello? Earth to Park Jimin..."

"Hm?"

"As I was saying, what are you planning to do now?" Namjoon repeated. "Remember, you're an idol now, Chim. You might put both of them out in danger."

Right. Fans are a bit... possessive. They once attacked Sulli because they thought we were in a relationship. Even my make-up artist noona and stylist noona. What more if they find out she's my girlfriend and that we have a baby?

I felt Taehyung's hand on my shoulder.

"Aren't you even a tiny bit mad at her for leaving you just like that?" He asked. "And not even contacting you for a year?"

"I know her, Tae," I replied. "She wouldn't leave me without any reason. If she didn't havea good one, I still won't be mad at her because I love her so much. I'd rather make up for the lost time we have than get mad over something as petty as that."

"What if she's already married?"

"She didn't have any ring on her finger." That was the first thing I checked when I saw her. "Not even an engagement ring."

"What if she just hid it?"

"A woman won't hide her ring, Tae," Jennie chimed in. "Especially someone like Rosie."

Taehyung shrugged and admitted defeat.

"Hyung... what should I do? I want to meet my son. I want to be with Chae again." I looked over at Namjoon.

"Well, you can't file for a custody complaint since that would be noisy and very messy," Namjoon adjusted his tie. "The best thing to do right now is to find her and talk to her about your baby. From there, you can decide on what to do next."

"Also bare in mind, you are a public figure," Jungkook said. "You can't meet with her where there's a lot of people."

I nodded. Then my phone suddenly rang.

"Sulli?"

"You will not believe who I just saw come out from your new neighbor's door."

I almost dropped my phone.
