CHAPTER 28

The banquet ended smoothly. Before the guests return to their carriages to go home, they brought their presents to Harriet who accepted them shyly.

And when the guests already gone, two groups come forth: the King's Saviour and Area 666 envoys.

"Are you okay? Are you tired?" Evans asked her nervously.

"No. I can still hold on." Harriet replied with a smile plaster on her face.

Her ankles hurts but because of her newly discovered power, the nature helped her to ease the pain.

Harriet, as an Immortal possesses powers that an ordinary Immortals and Immortal Realm's citizen can hardly obtained. Harriet have the power to control the nature and fly up above with her wings. Having two to three powers is considered legendary for a normal Immortal Realm citizen. In Harriet's fast development and life-and-death experiences, no one knows what and how many powers she will possess.

"Okay." Evans said while still looking at his companion with worry.

"Harriet! I finally found you!" Crow exclaimed when he finally reached Harriet.

Evans look at the newly appointed City Lord. He looked at Harriet and Crow. They seems so intimate that made Evans feel jealous.

"Why are you here?" Harriet asked him instead.

"Don't you know? The King's Saviour appointed me to be the City Lord of Area 666." He answered excitedly.

Harriet is shocked but then, she treated Crow professionally. She don't want Evans lose face. He is still the host of the banquet, after all.

Crow feel so sad about it. But he understand her intentions so he collected himself and brought the gifts he prepared for his long lost friend.

The King's Saviour envoy finally stepped forward. The joy once Harriet felt turned to fear. Evans saw it clearly and wondered why. But he didn't dared to ask.

Dark felt so sad for the distant attitude of Harriet to him. And he know, he felt that he is responsible for it.

The glimmer returned when she saw Silver who is smiling at her from behind. She jumped and hugged him that everyone shocked.

"Master! I miss you! I thought we will never meet again." Harriet sobbed at her Master's arms.

Silver hugged her back and nudged at her beautiful red hair. He must admit that he enjoyed acting as her Master. He is overjoyed for the fact that she actually missed him.

"Have you been good in here? Have you eating well and healthy? Sleeping in the right time? Master is worried to his little girl." He really treat the Princess like daughter. That's why when she left the Area 666, he felt so blank and lifeless.

"I am behaving in here, Master. I also teaching little kids. I love kids." She said happily.

Everyone in the room was shocked to the closeness of the two. Dark felt a little bit upset, but seeing his Princess happy again, the feeling of sadness slowly disappeared.

Harriet and Evans exited and let the King's Saviour envoy rest in his mansion. She bid her goodbye to her Master and returned to her little world.

"Master. He looked so happy with the Human Immortal. I am sorry for being rude but please let her go!" Sera complained.

"Come again?" Dark glared at Sera.

Sera is frightened and step back. But she collected her thoughts and continued. "She doesn't deserve your efforts Master! She don't even recognize you! That woman is nothing but your stepping stone for the thro—"

"Say it again, Sera!" The red eyes of a Master flared while holding Sera's neck.

Burrow and the others are shocked with the sudden transformation of the calm and stern face of the deity.

His veins almost popped out from his neck and his teeth started to grind against each other. He is furious with what Sera stated. Harriet is after all the princess of his realm. Harriet is still his disciple and adopted daughter. It really hurts for him to hear people badmouthed her in front of him.

Sera looked at the cold and angry looks of Silver and her Master. She knows that she's wrong for talking bad to the Princess. But she can't stand it whenever she watches her Master almost turning the world upside down to look for the her. She thought that he deserves better partner. And that one isn't the Heaven Realm’s Princess.

"M-master!" She is choking to death but Dark's face is unchangeable.

"Silver, let go." Dark ordered.

Silver pulled out his hand from Sera's neck. But suddenly, before Sera can catch her breath, another hand grabbed her neck but compared to the previous, this hand is stronger. She looked at her Master with disbelief. Dark is more furious than Silver.

"I guess, you are tired of living." Dark said while watching Sera turned black and blue. He waved his hand and throw Sera on the cold floor.

The cleaners ignored it and continued cleaning. Louie on the other hand is watching the show while clenching his fists. He also hated it when someone badmouthed his Lady. He wants to attack Sera but Steven hold his hand and shake his head for disapproval.

"Don't meddle with it. The third Prince can handle it." Steven said.

"What is the relationship between the Lady and the Prince?" Louie asked curiously.

"I guess, it's so deep that we cannot find the answer from it. So don't tell this to your lord. Or else, he may do something despicable." Steven warned Louie.

Louie understands it. For the past ten years, he didn't even have the chance to see Evans be so intimate to a woman. He didn't even dared to look at one. Even touching it nor talking with them, he didn't even saw one.

But when Harriet came into the Area 667. He saw the sparkles in his eyes that he didn't imagine that he'll witness in his entire life. He is grateful to Harriet for giving Evans another happiness. For that, he knows that when Evans learned the relationship they assume between the Lady and the third Prince, he will do something despicable to protect his beloved.

Meanwhile, the two rested on the grass at Harriet's courtyard. They're both lying on the grass while watching the sky full of shining stars.

They are like in a well. The walls are the bamboo trees and other kind of trees that bears fruits. The fresh air from them whistles by passing those bamboos. A melodic scenery which everyone wishes to witness. The perfect way to describe a new world within the forest.

"You said, you know people among the guests. Who are they?" Evans asked curiously.

"There are three of them. First, Crow Philips. He is my friend. He was my boss. And also the one who helped me escape the Area 666." She answered.

"The City Lord?" Harriet frowned with his statement.

"What City Lord? I know that Area 666 don't have one."

"Don't you know that Timothy Top, that old hag was punished severely by the King's Saviour? And the Area 666 is now under a major rehabilitation." Evans explained.

"Oh! Is that so?"

"Yes. Why? Do you have a plan to come back?" Evans tried to conceal his sadness but failed.

"No." She answered immediately. "That's not my home."

"Huh? Where is your home?" Evans inquired.

"Don't know. But living in here in peace will be a considerable decision for me to stay here for good." She said honestly. "Everyone loves me. Accepted me for my difference and also, I have a good friend in here who loves to chat with me tirelessly."

"I will never get tired. I may be old in Mortal time. But I am not that old enough to lose my touch." He teased Harriet.

"Stop that nonsense Evans. It's creeping me out." She giggled while pushing Evans from her who is crawling by his back towards her.

"Hey! Who are the other two?" He changed the subject.

"The one I hugged earlier is the deity I am telling you. He called himself Chrys. But I guess, that's not his true name. He taught me how to be a sole survivor from the human extinction in Area 666. He also taught me how to cook, fight, defend. And also, I treat him as my father. He loves me and always thinking about me."

Evans saw love and adoration in Harriet's eyes. He loved to see those eyes of hers. He loved to see her happy and away from worries. He want to share weal and woe with her until his last breath. Weather she choose him, or not.

"The other one?" He inquired.

"The man in front of them. Dark." Her eyes changed into fear that made Evans regret for asking. "He used to be a friend of mine. He take good care of me while I am under the influence of transformation. But, all of a sudden. I feel like I really know nothing about him. I'm afraid of him." She said honestly.

'Maybe, if I didn't tried to look for him that night. I will never discover his true intentions toward me. I am happy yet afraid that, now he knows where I am, he will kill me for sure.' She thought.

"Don't worry. I will protect you even I need to face death. Just... Rely on me. Okay?" Evans coaxed her and hugged her until she fall asleep.

The next day, another day for the children to go at their studying site. The kids now increased compared yesterday. Harriet is happy yet shocked. She didn't imagine to have many students.

She told them stories that she heard from her Master. She also taught them to read and write. And when the lunch time came, Evans suddenly came with foods with him. The children is so happy when they personally meet the City Lord. They hugged him and praised him.

A kid who is known to be the number one fan of the love team of Harriet and Evans pulled each other's hands and made it hold together. The two blushed that made the kids feel giddy.

"Naughty." Evans shook his head while mumbling.

"Go! Go! You have lots of works to do. Visit me here if you have no works!" Harriet chased Evans away who's face is red.

"Bye kids!" Evans said before giving Harriet a peck of a kiss on her cheek. Her face turned red.

'That's my...'

"Kids! After eating, take a nap and then we will start another story. Okay?" The kids cheered and started eating.

Harriet's smile never failed to stick on her face. She watched the kids eat the foods Evans gave. And she also watched them sleep one by one. She tucked them in the blanket she have and started to wander around the premises. When she saw the clearing where she used to practice, she snapped her wings open and started to float in the air.

She lift herself up until the vast ocean was under her feet. She closed her eyes and made a wave in the water by her hands. She gathered all the water fragments into a large sphere and removed the impurities in it by waving her left hand while holding the large sphere by her right hand. She lowered the water's temperature until it becomes a large ice. When she was finished, she flew up above the space where the kids are now watching her. With the tremendous force, she crushed the iced water into a snow.

The kids are overjoyed with that event and cheered while playing with the snow their fairy teacher made. They started to make snowmen. They grabbed lots of branches and stones to make a face that made her giggle.

She charged forward and let her body fall down like a rocket. The kids saw her coming that they made her a way. The wind by her snow-white wings is strong that made the trees around swayed and follow the wind direction. She turned to the center and out from the kid's snowmen, she created a bigger snowman and a little snow playground around it.

Harriet is happy with the outcome. Her powers are now stable and she is now ready to give her other powers have their way to her.

In the distance where is out of the range of Harriet's sight, there are Silver, Dark, Crow, Louie and Evans who are secretly watching and smiling with the joy Harriet's feels.
