I am staring at her talking to my aunties. My mother is here with me, talking about something. Hindi ko makuha ang gusto niyang iparating dahil hindi ako nakikinig sa kaniya.
"Paul, are you listening?" she asked me. Tumingin ako sa kaniya at tumango na lang. Her eyes went to Mia who is now touching her belly.
"You married her without our consent and then right now she's pregnant with your child," halos hindi makapaniwalang sabi nito sa akin. I stared at her. Wanting to know what does she want right now. Why did she start a conversation like this.
"I make decisions for my own life, Mom. If you can't respect that then I am not here to earn that," sabi ko sa kaniya. Kita kong nasaktan siya sa sinabi ko pero ayaw ko naman na mas masaktan ang babaeng mahal ko. I
