“MY LORD, we finally own England and the nearby territories. The pack also controls Madrid. The vampires’ territories are now limited. According to our map, the red marks here are the only places we still need to attack. After that, victory will be ours,” Esmundo reported.
He was the king’s general—Sebastian Estacion’s most trusted man. He laid the map flat on the old round antique table. The place had once been a vampire station; now, the wolves owned it.
Sebastian stood and examined the marks Esmundo pointed out. A satisfied smile curved his lips. Thousands of vampires still needed to be annihilated, but he was pleased with the progress. Millions had already been killed in just a short span of time. It was a great number. It was good news.
“Your father must be very happy and proud, my lord. You lead the pack well,” Esmundo said proudly.
Sebastian grinned. Esmundo was one of his greatest generals—and his most loyal warrior. That was why Sebastian had chosen him as his right hand. They had known each other since childhood. He trusted Esmundo’s strength and skill completely. Esmundo was born for battle.
Sebastian, on the other hand, was not just strong but also intelligent and wise. That was one of the reasons his father had chosen him to lead the pack before he died.
Sebastian clenched his teeth, rage flickering in his eyes as the memory of his father’s death came back to him. The wolves had been living peacefully in Barcelona—until the vampires came. Ruthless and merciless, they destroyed everything. They shattered their peace.
Ten years ago, the war between vampires and wolves began. It all started when Igme killed a vampire in Madrid. What followed was revenge—an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. The vengeance grew uncontrollable until it became a full-blown war.
Sebastian’s father had wanted to end it. He had made a brave decision—he sent word to the vampires, asking for peace talks to stop the fighting. But tragically, they killed him and his men before they even reached the meeting place.
Sebastian and his warriors arrived too late. He had only a few minutes with his dying father—just enough time to hear his final words: continue the plan.
Even though it went against his will, Sebastian made a promise. If he had the chance, he would answer their cruelty with war. Life was not fair! His father had only wanted peace, and what did the vampires do? They murdered him! That was proof enough that vampires never wanted peace—they wanted war.
Still, Sebastian obeyed his father’s final wish. There was nothing else he could do but return to the village and carry out his father’s will.
But one day, the vampires struck again. They burned their village to ashes—along with his wife and eldest son, Allano. Only Adan and Amado managed to survive by hiding. That day, Sebastian’s wrath consumed him. He wanted revenge. He wanted blood.
Sebastian forgot his father’s wish for peace. Rage now ruled him. His fury became his army’s strength. The war between wolves and vampires grew even larger. He refused to let the vampires make another move. He made sure the wolves were always one step ahead.
He turned everyone into warriors. Adan and Amado were no exception. As his sons, they were trained rigorously. He wanted them to learn everything—not only to survive but to win. The two of them grew up in the arena. Sebastian constantly reminded every wolf of their mission: avenge the dead; eliminate every vampire.
The wolves didn’t hesitate. They volunteered, trained, and mastered their weapons. From there, the bloodshed began. Sebastian led them himself. They slaughtered every bloodsucker they encountered. Fueled by vengeance and fury, they became unstoppable.
Sebastian soon realized that anger was the most powerful weapon of all. It drove them to victory. Their remorse and hesitation vanished.
Their triumphs made Sebastian a legend among wolves. The pack crowned him their king. His leadership expanded their lands and power. Every wolf admired his strength, his wisdom, and his unmatched determination.
“I know my father would understand what I’m doing,” he muttered, gritting his teeth as he stared at the map. “This is all the vampires’ fault. Wolves lived in peace. My father wanted to stop the war, but what did they do? They killed him! I will never forgive those blood-sucking leeches!” His voice trembled with fury. His fangs began to show, and his body threatened to transform. It was natural for wolves like him to shift easily, especially under the full moon—and these past few nights, the moon had been at its brightest, almost as if it were on their side.
“You’re right, my lord,” Esmundo said, placing a firm hand on his shoulder. “And remember—we are with you. Your loyal warriors will never leave your side.”
Sebastian nodded and looked back at the map, thinking deeply. He pointed to England. “Tomorrow, when the sun rises, we attack this place. Close all the roads leading to the colder regions. I’m sure the vampires will head that way.”
“Consider it done,” Esmundo replied.
Sebastian turned to him. “What about my sons? Which group are they assigned to?”
Esmundo sighed. “They joined Bagwis’ team. They attacked America. Bagwis said he had no problems with Adan, but Amado… he’s uncontrollable. He often skips training. Bagwis even caught him sleeping during missions. The last time he checked, Amado disappeared in the middle of a battle.”
Sebastian rubbed his temples in frustration. Amado was one of his greatest disappointments. He just couldn’t understand his son. Despite everything he had said about their cause, Amado didn’t care. He disobeyed orders and refused to fight.
Two months ago, they had argued. Amado said he didn’t want to go to war. He wanted a different life—he wanted to become a painter, to live normally.
Sebastian was furious. A painter? They were wolves! They weren’t meant to live normal lives. They had a mission—to avenge their clan. That was what Amado needed to understand.
But Amado was stubborn. His eyes were filled with defiance and pain. He was a rebel. Remembering that argument drained Sebastian’s energy.
Still, Sebastian knew one thing: Amado could take care of himself. He was a far better fighter than Adan. His skill was exceptional—his strength, his precision, his instincts. If only Adan had Amado’s fighting prowess, or Amado had Adan’s discipline, Sebastian would have been proud of both.
Amado was naturally gifted. He handled weapons—guns, spikes, knives—with ease. He was a sharpshooter, agile, and cunning. His mind worked fast, and his senses were extraordinary, even for a wolf. Transformation came easily to him, unlike Adan, who took months to master it.
Sebastian sighed and shrugged. “I just hope one day, he’ll see everything clearly. I hope he puts our mission first.”
“Don’t worry, my lord,” Esmundo said reassuringly. “Things will happen that will make Amado change his mind. Trust me—he’ll understand someday.”
Sebastian nodded slowly and exhaled. He hoped Esmundo was right.
