"Good morning, ganda!" I giggled when I saw Joana smiling at me.
I blushed when I saw Jewel with a bouquet of chocolates in her hands.
"Wow! Sana all may chocolates bouquet!" I gushed when I approached my table in class.
We are still waiting for our professor today. It is officially our first semester in our second year as college students.
And, officially, me and Damon's sixth month together as a couple.
Yes, it has been a blissful six months together. He was just the right definition of an ideal man.
He is always the prompt and gentleman that he is. He became extra caring and extra sweet to me since that day.
"Sa 'yo yan, gaga!" Jewel rolled her eyes and shoved it into my chest.
I gasped in amazement. I blinked at her.
"Naks! Ganda ka, ghorl?" Alvin mocked and Joana snickered on her seat.
I sat down on my chair too and grinned at the thing I was holding.
Cadbury, Ferrero Rocher, Musketeers, M&Ms and even Hersheys.
I am in heaven, literally. Chocolates have always been one of my many weaknesses.
Then, I remembered my friends. If there is one thing we all have in common are our sweet tooth.
I snatched one of everything from the bouquet after snapping a photo of it and posting it on i********: and sending my appreciation to Damon on his messenger and gave it to them.
Hersheys for Jewel, M&Ms for Alvin, Ferrero for Joana and Hersheys for Tristan.
"Kaya love na love ka namin eee!" Alvin hugged me immediately when he got his chocolates. Joana and Jewel squealed and hugged me too.
"Hey, don't I get a hug, too?" I joked Tristan and soon, all of us are enveloped in a hug.
"Shocks, ang sweet nila!" Teresa cooed and snapped a photo of us hugging each other on my seat.
"Pahinging copy, Tess. PM mo sa amin ha." Joana grinned at her and suddenly, our phones beeped and we received two photos of our squad grinning and hugging each other like old fools.
"Thank you, Tess!" Alvin exclaimed and posted it on i********:, tagging each one of us.
Chocolates talaga kahinaan naming lima. Kaya lab na lab kita, Papi Damon eh! ?
I chuckled and liked his picture.
I love you, best Brit! ? squad is here!
That was Jewel's post. She snapped a picture of the chocolates they each get along with their groupie with me.
? squad, indeed! Tysm, B & D!
A simple appreciation post came from Joana and I shook my head thinking their shallow happiness.
Happiness definitely comes from little things.
❤ Thanks, Brit and dude, Damon. ?
Tristan, who barely post things in i********:, did it today.
I was about to catch his eye and tease him a couple of chairs away in front of me when our professor for Principles of Management and Organization came in.
"Good morning, class. I am Prof. Eduardo Ramirez or Prof. Edu, for short." He said meeting each of our eyes. "In this semester, I am expecting everyone to be a little serious in our class. You all are halfway at the end. And this is one of your major subjects, so shall we begin our orientation?"
The class became quiet and we all answered yes. Soon, Prof. Ramirez handed out the course syllabus and started discussing his midterms and end of the semester requirements which we all have to comply.
Lunchtime came and we, five, are again seated in our spot at the cafeteria.
"So, we have two hours break time. Do you really want to eat here? I am craving for some American Barbecue and Chocolate Mousse." Tristan broke our silence as we began thinking of food to order.
Automatically, our eyes bore into him. We all felt quite lazy today but at the same time, hungry for some decent food.
"My treat since today's my birthday. Let's go to Kenny Rogers, guys!" Tristan said, winking at us and stood up with his backpack on.
"What? Today is your birthday!" Jewel exclaimed in surprise.
"Loko ka! Hindi ka nagsasabi, papi! Sana may regalo kami sayo!" Alvin scoffed at him and slapped his arm.
"Kailangan may pananakit?" Tristan glared at him and cackled still. "Tara na. Baka maraming tao sa mall, lunch hours pa man din ngayon."
The four us scampered along and we walked briskly to the entrance of the campus. Thankfully, our building is almost beside it so it did not take us long enough to get out.
We hailed a jeepney to the mall and it was Alvin who paid for our fare.
"Ano meron sa boys natin ngayon, no, Joana? Bakit biglang umihip ang hangin at ang babait nila ngayon?" Jewel teased them and I laughed when Alvin answered her.
"Boy lang! Nasa mood ako ngayon maging mabait kaya, samantalahin mo na, gaga!" Alvin glared at her which made us laugh even more. He immediately clung to Tristan's arms and cooed, "pero mas love ko pa din si Papi Tristan kesa kay Papi Damon, kahit saang anggulo tingnan, likas na mabait!"
"Vin! Stop leeching to me!" Tristan protested shying him away but he clung even more. "Sige ka, ikaw magbabayad ng lunch nating lahat ngayon!" He threatened him and Alvin removed his hands away from his arm.
Soon, we got out of the jeepney and was strolling inside the mall and into the Kenny Rogers Restaurant. Fortunately, we found a vacant table of five. We ordered our foods and I snuck out for a moment while they were chatting.
I bought a truffle cake for Tristan with a short birthday dedication from us at a bakeshop across Kenny's. I told one of the KR's crew to keep it for a while and will cue them when it will be served with candle.
After having served our orders, I checked on my watch and saw that we still have an hour left for the next class. I continued eating and when it's time for dessert, I signaled the waitress to serve the cake.
Along with her are the crew who began singing a birthday song for Tristan, we sang along too and my heart went out to him when I saw his eyes began to water.
"Ano ba yan! Hindi nyo na ako kailangan suhulan! Ako naman magbabayad ng mga order nyo!" Tristan chortled and wiped his tears immediately.
"Blow the candle, baby boy!" Alvin taunted him and he rolled his eyes and blowed the candle.
"Yeey! Happy birthday, Tristan!" We all greeted him like kindergarten pupils and we all sniggered.
"Ate, papicturan naman kami oh!" Jewel asked one of the waitresses and she nodded when the former handed her phone.
We all scooted closer to Tristan and gave our best smiles at the camera. With him holding the cake, we didn't notice his plan.
Soon, our faces have finger coated pecks of chocolate cake on the photos and happy smiles painted on our memorabilia.
We quickly went to the washroom and washed our faces before returning to the campus and to our next class.
The day ended with Damon's frowning face waiting for me at the parking lot.
"How was your day, babe? Had fun today?" He asked in a serious tone.
Uh-oh, what did I do wrong?
