The throbbing pain on Peyton’s head was the first thing that greeted him the second he tried to open his eyes. His eyes quickly shut off as the pain from within his head was like needles being pierced several times from his scalp and into his brain. Squinting, Peyton attempted to open his eyes once again, yet to no avail, he could not see clearly. All he could see was a blurry image of his surroundings, adjusting to the brightness of light.
