CHAPTER 5

RIDE

3 Months had passed and I’m enjoying my work. Though there are times that are so stressful but every Stressful times are always rewarded by satisfaction and success. I’m enjoying my stay with Quote Entertainment specially in Frost Team.

Naging super close ko na ang mga kasama ko sa work along with the members of Frost. Speaking of Frost, Hindi na ako na-iilang kapag malapit sa akin si Kyren. That’s one thing that Changes. Hindi na ako masyadong nahihiya sa kaniya at hindi na rin ako kinakabahan tuwing malapit ako sa kaniya o sa mga titig niya. It made my life easier.

He treats me in gentle now, hindi tulad dati na Cold ang datingan niya. Or so I thought… Sa akin lang pala siya naging gentle, I can still feel his coldness towards others.

Maaga kaming nakarating sa Last Shooting Site for their Music Video. At agad naman naming prene-pare ang mga gagamiting damit ng Frost band dahil niya beses silang magpapalit ng dami for the shoot.

“Cresent” napatingin ako kay Kyren sa hindi kalayuan.

“Hmm?”

“Come on, I need you here now.” Saad niya at agad na pumunta sa kaniya. Nakuha ko na ang ibig sabihin niya. I need to dress him up now.

“What time did you slept?”

“11. Why?”

“What did you do? It seems you didn’t get enough sleep.” Pansin niya?

“A-ah kasi tumawag sila Kaliyah at kendall at nagkwentuhan kami, you know miss ko na sila. Medyo hindi na kasi kami madalas magkita-kita dahil pare-parehas naman kaming busy.” Paliwanag ko sa kaniya.

“Next time sleep early. You need to get enough sleep and it’s not good if you have that kind of sleeping habit.”

“Nagsalita ang hindi nagpupuyat. Eh ikaw nga, kayo nila Ruin madalas ang pagpupuyat. 12 am na at nasa Quote pa rin kayo.” Laban ko sa kaniya.

He chuckled. “of course, we make music. But seriously, Please Don’t go sleep so late.”

“Opo.” Sabi ko sabay Tango. I saw him smile. It’s very rare to see him smile like that. Lagi kasing straight face ang pinapakita niya. Ginto ang ngiti niya.

“Good. That’s my girl.”

“You know, you should smile always. Mas lalo kang gumaguwapo.”

“Really? Like this?.” Then He Smiled

“O-oo.” I stuttered. “Ang gwapo…” I heard him chuckled. What?? s**t naman Adriella. Narinig niyaaaa. I suddenly blushed. Nakakahiya.

“Cute and Beautiful.” Then I blushed so hard as soon as I heard him say that. And he lowly laugh.

“Wag ka ngang tumawa.” He stopped laughing but he still have those smirk on his handsome face.

Nang matapos ang magshoot nila para sa MV, Ay agad kaming dumeretso sa Quote para duon mag early Dinnner. After the dinner ay isa-isa nagsi-alisan ang iba. Na-una na rin si Ate Marga dahil hinahanap na rin siya ng anak niya. Andito ako ngayon sa sa waiting Area sa labas ng Quote. Naka-upo ako ngayon habang naghihintay ng masasakyan. Pagkaraan ng ilang sandali. May huminto na sasakyan akala ko isang Taxi. Hindi pala.

Nakilala ko agad ang sasakyan. Saksakyan ni Kyren ito ah. Biglang bumaba ang salamin at nakita ko agad si Kyren na nakasuot ang hood ng jacket niya.

“Hop in.”

“Ha? Hindi na.” Hindi ko mabanggit ang pangalan niya dahil baka may paparazzi.

“Come on, I’ll drive you home. It’s not safe to go home alone.” Wala na akong nagawa dahil hindi rin naman niya tatanggapin ang pag-hindi ko. Pumasok na ako sa kotse niya. Lumapit siya sa akin at…

“Seatbelt” He said in husky voice and I heard the clicked. Then he go back to his position.

“Bakit hindi ka sumabay sa iba pauwi?”

“May ginagawa pa kasi ako eh.”

“As I said hindi Safe umuwi ng mag-isa. Lalo ngayon at mababae ka pa naman.”

“Eh ngayon lang naman ako hindi sumabay. Kasi nga may tinatapos lang akong gawin.”

“Even so, You should have called me.”

“Called you? Bakit?”

“So that I can drive you home.”

“Hindi naman kelangan, kaya ko naman eh at isa pa baka may gagawin ka.” I saw him clenched his jaw. Did I offend him?

“K-kyren, sorry If na-offend man kita sa sinabi ko. Ang hindi naman ganon ang intensyon ko. Baka lang kasi may gagawin ka at ayaw akong abalahin ka pa. Atsaka hindi mo naman kelangan gawin na ihatid ako kasi hindi mo naman responsibilidad ako.”

“Kahit ano pa ang ginagawa ko kaya kong bitawan ang mga yun, Para sayo. Gusto kong gawin yun at responsibilidad ko yon.”

“Ha?” May sinasabi siya dahil gumagalaw ang bibig niya pero hindi ko naman narinig.

“Nothing. I’m a bit offended but it’s fine.”

“Sorry. Hindi ko sinasadya. Galit ka?”

“It’s fine, really. And I’m not mad at you.” Sabi niya. “I’m mad at myself because I’m still didn’t make my move. I want you to be my responsibility.” Hindi ko na narinig ang iba pa niyang sinabi dahil ang hina nito.

At wala ng nagsalita saming dalawa. Patuloy lang siya sa pa-drive. Nang narinig ko ulit siya magsalita.

“What’s your home address?” tanong niya na agad kong sinagot.

Nang marating namin ang bahay ko ay agad kong inalis ang seatbelt. Sinabihan ko rin siya wag na itong bumaba dahil baka may makakita sa kaniya. I was about to open the door when he suddenly spoke.

“From now on, I’ll be the one to drive you home. Alright?”

“P-pero—”

“No buts Cresent and I won’t take a No.”

Hindi na ako nakasagot pa at basta na lang akong tumanog bilang sagot.

“Good then.” Sabay hila sa akin at hinalikan ako sa noo. “Go now and make sure to secure your door and windows. Also sleep early. Hm?” I just nodded unable to speak, I’m still shocked in his sudden move to kiss my forehead.

“Alright then Good night My Cresent.” Then he release my hand. I opened the door of his car and got off. Before closing his car door…

“Salamat sa paghatid. And G-goodnight din Ky.” I said in my soft voice. I saw him nod and I close to his car door. As soon as I got inside my apartment. I saw him drove away.

I go to my bedroom and do my thing. I dive in my bed and stared at the ceiling of my room. I suddenly remember kissed my forehead. I don’t know but my hands made it’s way to my forehead and touch it that brought a smile in my face. I just suddenly heard Kyren’s voice.

“Goodnight, My Cresent.”

“Good night too, Kyren.” With a smile still on my face I close my eyes and went to sleep.
