“Umuwi po siya sa Baguio,” sabi ko kay Dr. Miranda nang bigla niya akong ipatawag sa opisina niya para itanong kung kumusta ba ang anak niya sa ospital.
Well, I have tried to ask around as subtly as I could and so far, I haven’t heard any negative feedback about her. The nurses said that she’s kind and she doesn’t pressure them or anything. The doctors say that she’s patiently learning the process here and sometimes, she would even teach the residents on what to do with some emergency cases because she’s worked as a resident in Fidel Mercado for several years.
“Anong ginawa niya sa Baguio?” tanong ni Dr. Miranda.
“I think it’s an emergency with her grandmother, sir,” sagot ko. “Iyon lang ang nabanggit niya sa text niya noong nagpaalam siya dahil mukhang nagmamadali siya.”
