He took a glimpse of me, and then returned his gaze onto the front. "Your mother and the head of Clasiso had an affair, Azora. I discovered it one night when I invited the Clasiso and other prominent families to attend the banquet for her birthday."
"A-Affair?" I gulped hard.
Dad nodded. He knotted his brows. "I was mad when I discovered that they were cheating behind my back. But I forgave your mother and locked her inside her room for months."
