"DAMN IT!" Tyron angrily ran his hand through his hair as he entered his room. He punched the wall.
That tigress really knows how to piss him off. She knows exactly where to hit him to make him lose his good mood. Just when he was enjoying bantering with her, she suddenly says something he never thought would affect him.
He wasn't offended by what she said, he just suddenly remembered what Catriona said before, that no matter what he did, she wouldn't stay with him. That's why she left him.
Why? What's wrong with Tyron? He did everything for her. He loved Catriona sincerely. He gave her his world. But why wasn't it enough? Why did she still choose her career over him?
Exactly last night marked one year since Catriona broke up with him. That's why he intentionally didn't let Emilia come home so he wouldn't remember the painful scene last year when she broke up with him and left him in the penthouse. They were already living together. But in a blink of an eye, she left him. And every corner of the penthouse reminded him of her. Even if he wanted to leave that penthouse, his heart wouldn't let him. Because there's a part of him that hopes she'll come back, even if it's unlikely. He hasn't heard from Catriona since. The last he heard was that she competed in an international pageant, but she didn't win. And then she joined the national pageant again. That's it, nothing else.
Tyron sighed and stared at his bloodied fist. He was just staring at his knuckles when his personal phone rang. His grandfather is calling him. He took it and answered.
"Mariano," he greeted from the other line.
"Tyron, son, when are you going to visit me here at the mansion? If I didn't call you, you wouldn't talk to me at all?" the old man's voice was tinged with resentment.
Tyron went to the bathroom and put the phone on speaker. "Actually, I'm about to take a shower. I'll visit you there today."
"Alright, I'll expect you."
Tyron shook his head when Mariano hung up the call. Yes, he doesn't visit the mansion often because of work, but he sees Mariano at the company. He stepped down as CEO and Tyron replaced him while he became vice president. So Tyron doesn't understand why the old man is resentful.
"That old man," he muttered under his breath and went to the shower area. He took a shower and let the blood flow from his fist. Like the bleeding, his heart also hurts today. It's been a year, but it feels like yesterday when Catriona broke up with him.
After showering, Tyron wore a simple polo shirt and jeans. Wearing his shades and carrying the car key in his right hand, he left the room. He didn't see Emilia there anymore. The dining table was also clean. Even the dishes he ate earlier were cleaned by her.
That woman. She's really too feisty. She's not afraid of him.
Tyron left the penthouse. Driving his car, he went to Mariano's mansion.
When he arrived, he found Mariano having coffee near the pool area. When he saw him, he looked past him.
"Are you looking for something?" he asked.
Mariano nodded. "I'm just looking to see if you have a girlfriend with you."
"I don't do girlfriends," he said and sat in front of him. The helper immediately took care of him and prepared food.
"Why is that? Don't you see the color of my hair? From blonde, it's white now. It just means I'm old and getting older. Tyron, son, when are you going to get married? I want a grandchild from you. We're the only ones left. Give us another heir to our lineage. Make a baby so that while I'm still strong, I can take care of it," he lamented to him.
Tyron's head was aching because of the hangover, but it was hurting even more because of what Mariano wanted.
"Haven't you found a replacement for your ex-girlfriend yet?"
"Mariano..." Tyron's expression turned serious. He didn't want to talk about Catriona. It was torture for him.
Mariano didn't pay attention to his seriousness. He continued talking, “She's not coming back. Didn't she choose her career over you? Even if you get back together, her priority will be her career. You won't be able to have a child with her right away."
Tyron sighed. He knew that. But he was willing to wait however long it would take for Catriona to be ready to settle down if she ever came back.
"Let's not talk about that," he said. "What's the reason why you called me here?"
Mariano sighed. "You're already thirty. At your age, you should be married and have kids," he said, ignoring what Tyron said. "Do you want me to set you up on a blind date? I know a lot of the daughter of the company's partners."
At that moment, it was Tyron's turn to sigh. Mariano wouldn't stop nagging him if he didn't agree to what he wanted.
"Alright," he said in a forced voice. It's just a blind date. He won't take it seriously.

IT WAS twelve noon when Emilia arrived home. Henry greeted her with worry as she entered the house. Apparently, he didn't tell Marie that she didn't come home last night because he was sure she would worry and she didn't sleep at home.
"Are you okay? You look tired, darling. You seem to be lacking sleep. Did Mister Patterson really make you work a lot?" Henry asked her.
She looked away and slowly nodded. She felt guilty because she had to lie to her Dad. It was true that she was tired and lacking sleep. But Henry didn't know the real reason for that.
"I'm sorry daughter if you're the one sacrificing for our family," Henry said to her, sadly and shyly.
"Don't apologize, Dad. I'll do anything for you and Marie..." She smiled at her dad and gave him assurance.
Henry smiled too. "When your mommy gets completely better, I'll make it up to you."
She nodded. "I'm going to rest now, Dad. I'll just catch up on sleep."
"Have you eaten? Do you want me to cook for you?"
"Later, Dad. I'll sleep off this tiredness first."
After saying goodbye to Henry, Emilia went to her room. She lay down then stared blankly at the ceiling. She heaved a sigh then closed her eyes. But she immediately opened them again because she remembered the hot encounter between her and Tyron last night.
Yes, she didn't like her situation now where she had to offer herself in exchange for her family's huge debt to Tyron. But she couldn't deny that last night, her body enjoyed the pleasure Tyron gave her.
The way he thrust inside, the way he licked, sucked and kissed his body. And how Tyron moved on top of her while his forehead was sweating with a soft moan coming from his lips.
Emilia had only experienced that now. But that feeling was crazy. It was different when only Emilia was the one making ways to please herself.
She heaved a sigh. The moans she made were still fresh in her mind. She couldn't believe she moaned like that. It felt like she didn't know the person who gave in last night.
She should be crying now because she lost her virginity to a man who wasn't even her boyfriend. But why wasn't she feeling any regret in her heart?
"That's right. It's good that you don't feel any regret, Emilia, about what happened last night. You'll accept what happens faster. Your sacrifice won't be in vain," she whispered, still looking up at the ceiling.
Emilia forced a smile. And she's glad she could do that without any difficulty.
A while later, sleep finally took over Emilia. She slept for too long. When she woke up, it was past seven in the evening, because of Henry's knock.
"Sweetheart, are you awake? Dinner is ready."
Emilia got up. "Yes, Dad. I'll be at the table soon."
When she didn't get a response from Henry, Emilia went to the bathroom and washed her face. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and noticed the numerous marks Tyron left behind. That man. He was too wild last night. Almost every part of her body was touched by his lips.
She shook her head. It's a good thing she has concealer. She'll use it to cover up her kiss marks. She'll just let her hair loose for now to make sure no one sees them.
After coming out of the bathroom, Emilia left her room. She went to the table and found her parents there.
"Marie." Emilia immediately hugged her mom. Just seeing her parents made Emilia's tiredness disappear.
"Emilia darling. How are you? Henry said you're busy with work. Are you okay? Maybe you're overworking yourself?" she said worriedly.
She secretly glanced at Henry before answering her mother's question. "I'm fine, Mom. I'm not pushing myself too hard."
"That's good. Don't just focus on studies and work, okay? Rest sometimes."
She just nodded.
That night, they all ate together at the table. They had a conversation filled with laughter, something Emilia would treasure and wouldn't trade for anything.
After dinner, Emilia was the one who cleaned the table and washed their dishes while her parents went to their room to rest.
After cleaning, Emilia went back to her room. Because she slept all afternoon, she wasn't sleepy yet. So she studied and reviewed her lectures.
It was past eleven at night when Emilia finished reading her notes. She was already yawning while putting away her notebooks and books, she was about to sleep, when suddenly her phone rang.
Her brows furrowed, wondering who would call her at this hour. She stopped what she was doing and grabbed her phone from the bed to see who was calling.
When she saw it was Tyron, Emilia sighed. What could be so important that he had to call her at this hour? Usually, it's just Mark who she talks to when Tyron needs something.
But well, why did she even ask when Tyron only wanted s*x from her. And most likely, that's what he wants to happen now.
But really? Wasn't he tired last night and wants to do it again tonight? And besides, it's Sunday. Tomorrow, she has classes at the university.
But Emilia had no choice but to obey him because he might stop their agreement.
So even though Emilia didn't want to, she still answered Tyron's call.
"Why?" she said directly. She didn't even greet him when he called.
"I'm outside your house. Come out here."
Emilia's eyes widened and her heart immediately pounded with fear at what she heard. What is Tyron doing here? What if Henry sees him? What excuse would she give and why is her boss, Tyron, here at this hour?
"What? It's late Mister Patterson! Why did you come here?" Emilia whispered, as if Henry could hear her.
"Just come out here if you don't want me to knock on your door."
"Damn it!" Emilia cursed and immediately hung up the call and quickly went out of her room to go to her bossy boss.
