I glanced at my wrist watch, it's already past twelve midnight. We've been married for almost eleven years and yet I never go home late, only this time. I have a piled up job that needs to tend to since I need to catch up for the the annual board meeting.
It wasn't difficult for me to reach home, there are almost no other vehicles running, but there are still some people who are still awake.
Pinagbuksan ako ng gate ng aming night shift na security guard. "Good evening Sir Lionel!" He politely greeted me.
"Good evening and good morning!" I chuckled.
"Ginabi po ata kayo Sir."
"Oo nga Manong Pierre." I replied, "masyadong tambak lang ang trabaho. Sige po, papasok na ako."
"Sige po Sir, magandang gabi ulit." He smiled as he closed the gate.
