Chapter 1

Mayarie's PoV

This is just a part of life that I don't want to involve into "Wolf" thingy and possibly i really hate it's affairs and it's royalties problems against us poor people.

But who cares I'm going back to the estate, i really hate this lifeeeeee!! this trashy family who adopted me, they're just abusing me because I'm just an orphan and a mere servant! I have no other options but to stay.

While i walk towards the estate, i heard someone arguing and that voice is very familiar, i took a peak and my guess were right.

Sherry Smith and Layark Woods, these two never stopped fighting they're mates to be honest but there are major problem. He's f*****g obsessed with me!!!!

"Why do you always care about that nasty servant!? she doesn't even have a status! nor a wolf!" Sherry exclaimed.

Yes Sherry, you're right but it's not my fault why Layark acts that way. I feel bad for Sherry but to be honest... i feel more bad about myself lol.

"Why do you always have to intervene with my doings?" Layark stayed cool and not making a scene.

Maybe it was a wrong timing or idea to head back here, Sherry might beat me up dead again, Cause whenever they fight about things? I always get involved! even though i have no idea what they're fighting about.

"She might steal you away from me!"

Wow!? how come would i steal that bastard from you? People are so good at accusing these days, I can't stand this anymore i should go out and escape from their meddling before i get slapped again by that b***h.

The reason why i get abused most of the time is when i fight back. I don't know why but it's a sudden instinct that kicks me in to do that.

Finally I'm away from the estate, Right now im in the capital wondering around watching children playing around, flying their kites above the sky. I feel envy to those kids, they may be poor but they have a family to keep them in piece together.

''Oh it's the Prince's Marking ceremony!'' a nitizen announced.

Prince marking ceremony? i wonder why it's public.

i follow those people towards where the marking ceremony was.

"Oh my goodness Princess Lunae is so pretty!" some of the audience exclaimed.

When i look at the princess she is indeed beautiful but I'm here in the middle of the crowds covering myself with the cloak, cause of course, Madrid told me to wear a cloak and a mask whenever i go out or else i get cooked.

As i look at the Prince, damn he's looking hot and attractive...Wait? what am i thinking?? i don't feel anything like this before! getting excited?! a sudden heat? This is going to be weird i should go back.

Before i moved back the guards were already surrounding the crowds, and suggesting us to watch till the end of the ceremony...since it's really rude for the royal family.

I have no choice but to stand and watch this boring ceremony and yes, I'm trying to avoid this weird feeling.

"We may do the honor of our alpha prince of Elarion and the princess of Solaris to start the ceremony!" Priestess.

I was wondering why would they held the ceremony when the prince hasn't been awaken yet?..

"As soon as the prince marked the princess he will awaken his primal power" The priestess said.

How dumb could they be helding marking ceremonies in public? I thought in the handbook that the marking ceremony should be held in private? but maybe...hmmm it changed.

While watching the ceremony happen, after the process the prince failed to mark the princess.

"what's going on?" the crowds whispers.

"Your highness what's going on?" the princess asked him.

"I'm trying" he said while staring at her.

"your majesty, I guess princess Lunae isn't your mate" the priest.

Maybe his imprinting marking skills are weak yet? due to his unawakened power he can't mark the princess.

While there's a little problem at the ceremony the gossips starts to get louder as the prince's knights told them to shut up or get executed.

Aphelios PoV

What's going on? why I can't mark Lunae? i was clearly sure she was my soulmate after knowing her for so long since childhood.

"Your highness what's going on?" she asked.

I'm for surely nervous about it cause all the princesses I've met and royal families. Been doing the private ceremony marking ever since and why hasn't it been working, and Princess Lunae was the last princess in all kingdoms the reason why i upheld this in public, cause i thought that she's the one.

"I'm trying" i said to her.

but i didn't growl or anything and I don't smell her as my mate but what's more worse something smells good.

"Your majesty, I guess princess Lunae isn't your mate" the priest said.

This shouldn't be happening, as of that i follow the scent without even noticing myself as i turned my head to the crowds.

Looking at a mere servant wearing a cloak and a mask on her face and i got a weird feeling that made my inner wolf growling at her but she doesn't have any wolf.

Suddenly i feel something linked between me and that woman.

OH SH*T! I MARKED THE SERVANT!

"Your Majesty, what have you done" the priest dropped his ass on the floor and same reaction for me.

UNBELIEVABLE!

Mayarie's PoV

What an actual f*ck? he freaking marked me!

"his majesty marked her" the crowds looked at me as i moved back and try to run.

I was running away from the crowds and the knights blocked the path, grabbing both of my arms.

"let go of me!" i protest

"Priestess ordered you to the court"

i keep resisting away from them but they're too strong, Oh my fate why do i always get involved such things! I hate this life!!

The two knights pushed me down to the court, away from the crowds knowing i can feel the hate outside.

"Your majesty it's not my fault!" i exclaimed.

the prince looked at me with a despised look on his face.

Wow he got me in this trouble and the audacity to look sternly at me???

Court: "Prince Aphelios, We didn't expect you to mark such lowlife peasant!"

The prince bow to the court supreme.

"Forgive me for i have accidentally marked her" he said towards the supreme.

What a two sided face prince you are.

i looked at the two knights aiming a two sharp sword around my neck and I'm sweating heavily in trouble for this.

"We want her executed" some of the supreme said.

What!? Executing me?

"May i humbly intrude to your suggestion, why would you execute me knowing his majesty's life is tied to mine?" I said with a polite tone but a bit rude.

The court was a bit overwhelming and serious while I don't feel anything to act serious about this cause i hate being alive.

"And why would you kill a servant where his majesty accidentally marked someone? shouldn't he be responsible for it??" I asked sarcastically

I think I'll definitely get trouble when i get back to the estate.

The judges was offended to my defense cause of course it's the prince fault anyways. The court has no choice but to approve this, the prince marked me so he should take this responsibility.

"Alright, you're quite smart knowing you're just a mere servant" The supreme said while crossing it's arm.

Well that was a good compliment but it was a bit offensive, and yes i can easily adapt fast it's like some kind of gift that i have.

"Thank you" i said.

"and as for you your highness, since this will be a big problem to all wolf kingdom what will you do?" The priest asked.

I looked at the Prince trying to brainstorm.

"I'll make her wolf awaken" He said.

And i just couldn't help but laugh a bit, and they look at me in confusion.

"our conversation is serious, young lady" the court.

"I apologize, excuse me from my rude behavior" i couldn't just help about it.

How can a mere human like me can have a wolf? But seriously i did acted one earlier when i saw the prince.

"how are you so sure that she has a wolf?" The priest asked and looked at me.

Im still covered in my cloak and a mask on my face.

"The way she smells" The prince said without any hesitation.

i seemingly embarrassed when he said that but, do i really smell good? All i know is..i just smell normal.

"That means she is your mate" The priest protested.

"I know holy priest, but as i can observe we can't be mate towards humans right? and how come she smell like a wolf?" The prince asked as the supreme court walked towards me.

He snapped his finger and the knight starts to remove my cloak and my mask.

OH SH*T!!! I'M GETTING DONE FOR! I'M SO COOKED!

As they removed my mask and cloak, everyone stood there in shock and the prince also stared at me for long and the knights also let go of me after seeing my face. Oh no...they seen my ugliness.

I start to cover myself and Madrid Woods seen me with a big wide eyes as he interrupted the silence.

"His majesty forgive me and my servant i will take responsibility and punish her" Madrid said to the prince.

I look at the prince as he confronted Madrid.

"No need to punish her, I want her to stay in the castle" Prince ordered Madrid as he looked at me with those eyes 'I'll get you punished later'

"h-huh but...your majesty she's just a servant" Madrid still insisted.

"I know but she's my mate, whatever happens to her might affect my life as well" The prince said coldly and couldn't even look at me.

Geez, this drama keeps going i really hate this policy stuff about wolves, is there a world where there are no wolves at all?

The priest also advised Madrid, but other people around the court makes a suspicious malicious smiles on their face without the prince noticing.

"We have no choice, but better find her wolf soon your highness the Nation will not sit well about this" -Priest.

I was more fine when they said about executing me lol.

The prince looks at me but not that for long, i can see his adams apple gulping, finding it weird for real and he couldn't even look me in the eyes.

After the supreme court agreed about his idea, we all left the hall and we can see so many people are waiting.

"Execute! execute! execute!'' his people demanded.

Yes yes, execute me, I'm just a mere servant a human with no wolf.

"Silence! or you all get executed!" The prince

Oh, sheesh i didn't know that this prince is kinda cold hearted and has a tryant side.

"No one's getting executed! If she dies i also die with her" he said to the crowds.

His people suddenly feel bad about their whereabouts of executing me.

"But your excellency! she's just bringing our nation down!" some of the people insisted.

And later Princess Lunae goes towards us and giving me a death glare as she touched the prince's shoulder.

"Calm down Aphelios" She calmed the prince using her soothing voice.

Two faced people? oh yes it should be expected in every royal families.

"I am announcing, that we will find her wolf! and there's still hope" I looked at him making a smile on his face which is very fake.

Everyone looks at each other that is very impossible for them to believe that a mere human servant like me could have a wolf.

"That's not even possible" some of them whispered.

True it's impossible that i have a wolf, but I've been acting like i do knowing the strong smell, getting in heat after seeing him-

Wait! no no i shouldn't be thinking something like this, For goodness sake!

I should stay decent and no think of some weird stuff.

"I'd known since she's my mate i can tell she has a wolf but haven't awakened yet" He said.

Why is he defending? oh right he's just feeling guilty for causing me trouble which is im just a mere innocent servant to the Wood family.

He walked towards me and still not bother on looking at me and reached my hands away from the crowd.

"where are you taking me?" i asked fiercely.

"You're going to live in the castle" he said while gripping my arm hard.

"You're hurting me" i said as he let go.

"Look be thankful i saved your ass out there".

Is he pointing out im ungrateful?

"excuse me for my rudeness, but you're the one who ACCIDENTALLY marked me, so it's not my fault" I said to him.

i know he's putting his regrets on me knowing it was his fault.

I don't what just happened but i think this will not be a so good journey for me, Dear Lord of wolves please don't put my life in pressure i just want to breathe normally.

"Guards take her to the mansion" he ordered his knight.

"You're coming with us" the knight grabbed my arm again while im still resisting.

"Hey! I'm not done with you yet!" i called out to him, but he just walked away and not looking back.

Tsk! This life will be more hell i could imagine.
